- empressofmetal, on 07/14/2008, -0/+18Gary Oldman wins, hands down. Love him. I can't wait to see TDK because Jim Gordon should definitely have a bigger role in this one.
- UserNull, on 07/14/2008, -0/+15Kevin Conroy IS Batman. It was great to see him reprise the role in Batman: Gotham Knight.
- Pinkertinkle, on 07/15/2008, -0/+12"Arguably Batman’s most fiercest villain, the Joker"
That's the most bestest line from the article. - fusedfilm, on 07/14/2008, -0/+11Dude...my Batman is from the pages of the Long Halloween but I have to say that Bruce Timm's vision of Batman and the voice of Kevin Conroy is awesome!
- jbonner71, on 07/14/2008, -1/+9Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman always revved my engine...but nothing beats Eartha Kitt's sexy, rolling rrrrr's, in my opinion.
- MustacheFace, on 07/15/2008, -0/+7The lower half of Michael Keaton's face was perfect for the mask. In contrast, Clooney's 3 chins were popping out of that freaking thing. Even his eyeholes had excess jowls to contend with. It was like pulling some kid's Batman smock over a Shar Pei.
- Kajico, on 07/15/2008, -0/+5I think Burgess Meredith is a much finer example of the Penguin than Danny Devito. He was more sophisticated, even if it was in a campy comical scene. Would he be alive today and young enough to play the Penguin I think he could pull of a less comical and more realistic role.
- MelroseMan, on 07/15/2008, -1/+6I thought Jack Nicholson did a good Joker...
- AndyStitzer, on 07/15/2008, -0/+4Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb
- StevieJanowski, on 04/02/2009, -2/+6BOOM! ZAP! Ok I miss the old TV show
- gnomead, on 07/15/2008, -3/+7Booo for not mentioning Cesar Romero, who IMO is the greatest Joker ever.

As one reviewer had pointed out, Cesar Romero was so badass, he put the makeup right over his mustache! - trekie1701, on 07/15/2008, -1/+5Thats because he refused to shave it.
- gogoma, on 07/15/2008, -1/+4Jack man.. it's all about Jack.
"Never Rub Another Man's Rhubarb". - inactive, on 07/15/2008, -0/+3http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hjp0I_okX0w
That is a pretty darn good Batman, from a short film. However I still give the win to Kevin Conroy, he is Batman for me. Even more so than the comics as odd as that is. - MacroDaemon, on 07/15/2008, -0/+3http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEx9r5enZsk
One of the best renditions of batman in any medium - bleutuna, on 07/15/2008, -1/+4Keaton was the best Batman. Hands down. Bale may be a better Bruce Wayne, but his Batman is meh as is his horrid Batman voice. Keaton mops the floor with him.
Oh, and Caine wins over Gough. For sure. I like Gough, he's a cool guy and all, but Caine brings a reality to Alfred we he's never been given.
The rest of the list is right. - LucasVB, on 07/15/2008, -0/+3It's called hype. Welcome to the human race.
- bixby1, on 07/14/2008, -0/+3I was going to say the exact same thing. So i will just reply with a big 'ol American 'ditto'
- BruB, on 07/15/2008, -0/+3What about the Riddler or even the original tv series with it's 60's movie. The best Riddler was Frank Gorshin hands down.
Dugg down for being simple minded on the 90's and up. - Niightwitch, on 07/15/2008, -1/+3I can agree with most of the article, except I think Michael Caine was the best Alfred - he showed class and humor, plus he captured all the love and affection Alfred has for Bruce Wayne.
- archer104, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2s
- araqnidm, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2Frank Gorshin played The Riddler and Adam West's costume was never purple.
- gnomead, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2@Niightwitch - Right. Cesar Romero should have used time travel and referred Frank Miller's Batman.
- LucasVB, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2Agreed. BtAS rules so ***** much it's not even funny.
- dyckdownunder, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1There once was a man named Bruce
Who against evil, would declare no truce... - JamJosh, on 07/15/2008, -2/+3You know what the most Dilznoofus thing about Batman was...His love for Rocket Fuel Malt Liquor!!
Rocketfuel's got tha upstate prison flavor that keeps you ugly all night long. So when you wanna get sick remember, nothing makes yo' feet stank like ROCKET FUEL MALT LIQUOR... DAMN! It's crezappy!!! - Zachari, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Give me a few days before I call this one.
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Batman:
http://www.imeem.com/bigdeezl/music/JLPtvYrl/crank ... - tdh1889, on 07/15/2008, -1/+2Jack was alright, but Ledger is about to revolutionize all of that.
- Chainheart, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Most loudest lightening I've ever seen
- cinemajunkie70, on 07/14/2008, -1/+2Excellent article.
Gary Oldman rules!!! - KenMixtape, on 07/15/2008, -1/+2are you retarded?
- ManicRage, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Heath Ledger could be up for an Oscar.
Dark Knight: The Godfather of Comic Book movies? - Pinkertinkle, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1FAIL
- Niightwitch, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1I can't say at all that I miss the old TV show. I remember when it came out, I was an avid fan of Batman, and I remember thinking they'd ruined Batman because they had camped him up so much....I'm no fan of the show.
- bales, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Let the movie come out first?
- TheWriteGuy, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1I don't know if the great animated series should have been included on this list, since I regard live action and animation as two separate mediums. But the Bruce Timm-led animated series definitely was the pants, no doubt.
- Elranzer, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1It's a bit too early to say that Heath was the best Joker (much less deserves an Oscar for it). And from what I've seen so far in the trailers, I'm not liking it better than the Animated Series Joker (Mark Hamill) or even Jack Nicholson's, honestly.
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Are you insane???
Julie Newmar FTW!
Pfeiffer is almost as good as Lee Meriwether but counts as second best, tied with Meriwether. - Vtorch, on 07/15/2008, -2/+3Buried as LAME and INACCURATE. I loved the Animated Series, but how can anyone even rate Voice Actors such as Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill to real actors? It's stupid. It seems like this blogger only has half his brain working or is just looking to write up a Batman article for the sake of writing one. I am burying this sub-par article immediately.
- T440, on 07/15/2008, -1/+1b
- Niightwitch, on 07/15/2008, -2/+2Ceasar Romero was OK as a camp version of the Joker, but I don't think anyone yet has captured the insanity of the Joker....Romero was too campy, Jack Nicholson just looked like Jack Nicholson with make-up on.
When I think of the Joker, to me it should be like looking into the soul of madness. The Joker should make you afraid, and none of these performances struck fear in me. - PoliticalMan922, on 07/15/2008, -1/+1Awesome article. Thanks.
- 437gone, on 07/15/2008, -0/+0urd....like this list.
Seriously, Michelle Pfieffer? What about Julie Newmar? rrraarrrr... - inactive, on 07/15/2008, -4/+3No, I'm not an american.
- dsmx, on 07/15/2008, -2/+1Most bestest? the grammar police will be on you for that.
