- inactive, on 07/31/2008, -0/+24Good heavens I'm a wuss.
I get squeamish and dizzy when I need to tweeze nose hairs.
I hate me. - Dylson, on 08/02/2008, -1/+20Nothing can compare to this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3clVvh5gbGE - goldenhearted, on 08/02/2008, -0/+12Whenever I watch these scenes, I tend to feel my arms or legs sharing the same pain as the characters.
Like in Pan's Labyrinth, I couldn't help but reach for my left cheek after the woman put a smile on his face. - DeadlyCouncil, on 08/02/2008, -0/+9Once, I pulled out a sliver with a tweezers.
No joke. - Chaindrop, on 08/02/2008, -0/+8"Pi" should be in that list. Self trepanation is pretty brutal.
- micro506, on 08/02/2008, -0/+8You must really hate hospitals
- Plasmodia, on 08/02/2008, -0/+7Two people decapitated. 6 Most horrible things about childbirth, brutal self surgery and stroggification. And diggs spell check is still nagging me on stroggification. ARE YOU MADE OF STONE, DIGG?
- Aurabolt, on 08/02/2008, -1/+7NSFW. Direct video feeds of each scene!
- airencracken, on 08/02/2008, -0/+5Buried for lack of Boondock Saints.
- zohaibusman, on 08/02/2008, -0/+5only the Terminator wont feel any pain :)
- dturnbull, on 08/02/2008, -0/+5Phew, I was worried that Pan's Labyrinth wouldn't make it into the list, so that's a relief. What an awesome movie.
- RobotKeaton, on 08/02/2008, -1/+6Am I missing something, or did the Ronin "self" surgery scene have someone else performing the surgery?
- goldenhearted, on 08/02/2008, -0/+5That was messed up.
- Taciturn, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4No Ichi the Killer tonguectomy, no digg.
- Siraf, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4Pi (The movie)
Full-on Lobotomy scene. - Halsfield, on 08/02/2008, -1/+5slivers are another name for splinters, or chips of wood that break off when walking barefooted on decks or ships, or running your hand on a railing, etc.
- NavS, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4Not 2, not 3, but 9 pages!
- Chainheart, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4Not self-torture, but still plenty of pain to see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwWfRVIQZms
(kiri, kiri, kiri, kiri, kiri...) - Halsfield, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4it wasnt really painful , but the most horrifying things ive seen are the south american tourists that get the grubs that burrow into their skin and grow to 2-3" and you get them out by covering yourself in vaseline which suffocates the grubs under your skin, then they slowly crawl to the surface of your skin and you "pop" them out one by one like a zit. there was a guy on discovery that had about 50 of these things in his skin and he cut 2 out with a knife before he got a local shaman to get them out the much less painful vaseline way, really disgusting.
- tikiman453, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3um, beowulf? come on!
that was terrible! - lordtyros, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3... the bad guy was plants
- BXRWXR, on 08/01/2008, -2/+5Yeah, you suck.
/Just trying to help. - twertyto, on 08/02/2008, -2/+5Actually... you suck.
- rexCo, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3Videos make it worth it
- fatlucy101, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3*passes out*................ *while typing this comment*
- WesleyD, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3I couldn't help but laugh at the Evil Dead II hand amputation scene. That's the first time I've seen it and I just watched it over and over again. Looks like he played that part pretty well.
::Holds a chainsaw over his hand::
"Who's laughing now?! Aaaagghhhhhhhh!"
lol - copypastry, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3I remember when i saw rambo III (on betamax!!) as a kid. I'd never heard of cauterizing a wound before so I was totally confused and asked my dad why rambo lit his stomach on fire.
- spammishking, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3You want brutal self-surgery check the Pain Olympics. I don't have a link because watching it once is enough and I don't want to search for it
- sh0rtstop00, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3Pan´s Labyrinth wins.
- Schmidtopolis, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3I only read the list to see what place Pi was in. Figures Maxim left it out. I mean, really, what's crazier than puttin a drill to your dome piece.
- Cogboy, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2No Taxidermia? Download it if you haven't seen it. The scene I am talking about is right at the end if you don't feel like watching the whole thing. Don't worry, we will understand.
- inactive, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2Dugg for Bruce Campbell, and the most awesome scene in any movie ever.
- jze17, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO7Q1tMGE7g
- GothAlice, on 08/02/2008, -1/+3Don't worry. We -all- hate you.
- TheLordOfBlah, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2Oh *****, I almost forgot about that one. You're right though, definitely deserved a spot.
- SyntraFTW, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2I agree to death. I can't watch the iron scene.
- loopyloopy, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2no Chopper? pfft
i guess nobody in the US saw that - mercenarybw, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2yes
- roebeet, on 08/03/2008, -0/+1Oh boy, cartoons! I'll watch it with my kids....
- jplkeekif, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1haha awesome, glad they included Pan's Labyrinth, anybody that has seen the movie knows how excruciating that looks, especially with the shot of alcohol right after he's finished with the stitches... so awesome yet so very disturbing
- Hnnnnnghhh, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1When i read the title of this digg, Taxidermia was the first movie that came to mind, most insane movie ever.
- Tyrghast, on 08/02/2008, -1/+2post-stroggification was the highlight of that game. everything before it pretty much sucked.
- wolferz, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1I still think it needed more blood and horror. Perhaps if blood had been squirting out or something.
Then again, perhaps I'm just twisted. - typedef, on 08/02/2008, -3/+4Can someone post the list? Browsing through ten pages to read a title is stupid.
- Halsfield, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1they do it in a bunch of movies. dental torture is a common theme in super-hardcore horror movies. getting your arm cut off is gorey but not really horrifying, people really cannot stand the thought of getting their mouths tortured.
- cryonix, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1When I got to #1 and realized that No Country wasn't on there, I was a little surprised... then it was the 'bonus' so it was OK. For a pretty tame scene, it made me cringe, I guess that's what happens when you have excellent: writing/directing/acting.
- btschul, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1This one time, I had to use a needle to get a splinter out. It was pretty brutal.
- nreynolds, on 08/02/2008, -2/+3once I accidentally an entire steak.
/a sliver of what? - INDOAZZ, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1Agreed!
- LegendaryHitman, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1Also, Bug had a pretty nasty tooth pulling scene...
