- oldhick, on 01/08/2009, -2/+25No one on the planet is "anticipating" that My Bloody Valentine 3D or Friday the 13th, will be good or worth watching. They will be awful.
- upick, on 01/08/2009, -4/+26Bitch Slap Photo: Looks like a boob grab there! LOL Check it out the first pic
- bluehouse, on 01/08/2009, -0/+14If you're into movies that cater the the lowest common denominator, then Bitch Slap is for you.

I hope Spike Jonze doesn't ruin one of my favorite childhood books - REAtoday, on 01/08/2009, -0/+10How is Megan Fox's nudeness not topping this list?
Fail - scottmbeggs, on 01/08/2009, -1/+10Could be a fatal boob grab. It's a little-known martial arts style. Like Yin technique.
- orangederange, on 01/08/2009, -4/+12I am looking forward to Rain and Ninja Assassin!
- oldhick, on 01/08/2009, -1/+8Fair enough... I've found I agree with Roger Ebert on 3D so far. He writes:
"There seems to be a belief that 3-D films are not getting their money's worth unless they hurtle objects or body parts at the audience. Every time that happens, it creates a fatal break in the illusion of the film. The idea of a movie, even an animated one, is to convince us, halfway at least, that that we're seeing on the screen is sort of really happening. Images leaping off the screen destroy that illusion"
http://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/2008/08/dminus_for ... - colasrtney, on 01/08/2009, -0/+7I remember it being a pretty short story. How do you stretch that into a movie?
- JCEEZ, on 01/08/2009, -1/+7Lol at Runners up:
"Megan Fox’s nudeness in Jennifer’s Body "
Ninja Assassin looks dope too. I always wonder what the Japanese think of our Hollywood productions on their.... culturally themed movies. I saw a Japanese western one time, it was probably the weirdest thing I've seen in forever. - DougUpndown, on 01/08/2009, -1/+7Cole Abaius writes (with regard to Star Trek) "I’ll admit that I have never seen a single episode or movie." and THEN writes "...as a sci-fi fan and as an action fan, I’ve been converted to the brilliant potential that Star Trek has."
My dead grandma's cat isn't a Sci-Fi fan, and yet SHE's seen an episode of Star Trek. Cole Abaius is either a liar, or an idiot. - AmyVernon, on 01/08/2009, -1/+7Amazing how many of these films I actually want to see. And a decent number are children's films that I also want to see but can use my little guys as an excuse to go.
- Firespray1138, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4Wait, Where the Wild Things Are is going to be a movie?
- CarbonKid, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4why is this guy being dugg down? Taken looks good!
- GTC55, on 01/08/2009, -2/+6I think 9 will be the film of the year - watch the original on the guy's website, it's amazing....
- yhzfridays, on 01/08/2009, -4/+8Great job. Yep - AVATAR will be the biggest movie of 2009.
- Jektal, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4Seriously. I'm not a Trek fan, but you can't be a Sci-Fi fan and have never seen anything Star Trek. It's everywhere.
- Jektal, on 01/08/2009, -0/+49 will be 2009's Wall-E
- colasrtney, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4very very long dramatic pauses
- Varney, on 01/08/2009, -4/+8No mention of 'The Road'?
- spiderbaby138, on 01/08/2009, -1/+5How does this plain comment get 6 diggs?
- danwallace, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3The only thing I know about Rain is that he had a dance-off with Stephen Colbert
- danwallace, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3Add a heist element.
- 8ballblack, on 01/08/2009, -1/+4Where's Public Enemies (with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale directed by Michael Mann). I mean come on, thats gonna be a kick ass movie.
- ansatsu29, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3That guy is so popular here in Asia. Damn, he looks bad-ass in that pic.
This is some sort of a footage from the film's pre-production. You can see Rain practicing his sword swings there.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m6e-4d7M08 - SniperZero, on 01/09/2009, -0/+3Whats NOT with all the love for Bale?
- zadadka, on 01/08/2009, -3/+6Ninja Assassin, writer = J. Michael Straczynski ... who wrote Babylon 5....cool !
Star Trek FTW, of course, but also looking forward to Inglorious Basterds, for sure. - Jektal, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3Seriously? They're making a 4th?
The first was great, the second was good, and the third was horrible. They should probably quit while they're afloat. - ObiNguyen, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Agree with most but what the heck is My Bloody Valentine 3D doing on that list? (Shudder...)
- Owwmykneecap, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2star trek 90210?
no thanks. - vashth3stampede, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2boobs
- vashth3stampede, on 01/08/2009, -1/+3i can't believe that nobody has said it yet:
BOOBS - opticwind, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2I've never watched an episode of star trek.
No, seriously. I knew that I was always geeky enough without becoming obsessed with something so I avoided it whenever possible.
I do the same thing with WoW and Star Wars. - cannonball, on 01/08/2009, -1/+3Dugg solely for Bitch Slap.
- KeanuGoesWhoa, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1I am pretty stoked for the animated movies myself!!!
- vashth3stampede, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1sex == better time
- RocketFury, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1You've won my heart by mentioning a twizzler-straw.
- onionoino, on 01/09/2009, -0/+12010 absolutely needs a remake
that was one of the lamest most preachy hamhanded scifi movies ever. - danwallace, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1And I certainly ***** am.
- Gooba, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1I'm into movies with Hercules, Xena, Gabrielle, and Iolaus I don't care what they are doing.
- slvrbullet87, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1"is bringing a touch of realism and a healthy dose of bad-ass back to the franchise."
About Friday the 13th
Maybe it is just me but i dont want realism in a Jason movie. I could give a ***** less about the random meats feelings and that Jason feels horrible about killing people. Leave that ***** out - Darksoul, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1Sigh I won't go into how racist you are and I am white but one would think that you would of had enough of that kind of storyline or reality in 2008. Lets leave that in 2008 and give us some real movies that have real imagination.
Now go away troll back under your bridge. - Jektal, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1From the post above mine: "Cole Abaius writes (with regard to Star Trek) "I’ll admit that I have never seen a single episode or movie." "
From my post: "you can't be a Sci-Fi fan and have never seen anything Star Trek."
Of course he's -aware- of Star Trek. Would be hard for the author to write about it if he hadn't heard of it. But he says he hasn't seen any Star Trek episodes or movies. How many movies are there? Has to be close to or more than a dozen. And episodes? TNG ran for 7+ seasons all on its own, as did DSN.
You don't miss ALL of that material and still consider yourself a Sci-Fi fan. - Darksoul, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1Can't wait for.
Avatar
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Terminator Salvation
Star Trek
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (If it turns out to be worth it)
Watchmen
G.I Joe
Ninja Assassin (Never heard of it but looks great)
I am shure that list will get bigger other then The Dark Knight and Iron Man those where the only two movies I went to see in the theature in 2008 (god glad that year is over) but it looks like I will be at the movies alot more this year. I do have to say somebody really needs to get their asses togther and make 2061 and 3001 but first they need to remake 2010 and no 2001 does not need to be touched. - Darksoul, on 01/08/2009, -1/+2I agree with the remake of 2010 and the making the rest of the books it really needs to be done why it has yet to be done there is just no excuse.
- Crownclown213, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1They're breaking the third wall!
- card51short, on 01/09/2009, -0/+1he didn't mention anything about kids...
I'll ask again :
Why did you put harry potter? - jackabilly, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1hadn't heard they were making that... the book depressed me for weeks. amazing though.
