- badqat, on 11/08/2007, -0/+17Saw "House of Wax" at the local drive in theater. First time I ever recall the audience spontaneously breaking out in applause when Paris' character got hers.
- benitojuarez, on 11/08/2007, -1/+11I really like how this site has the little "watch it" blood splatter icon instead of arbitrarily shoving youtube videos in my face, this gets my digg.
- ThinkBox, on 11/07/2007, -4/+1419. Paris Hilton, “House Of Wax” (2005
- It was a cathartic relese when she dies, NOT a great moment in cinema death history
3. Samuel L. Jackson, “Deep Blue Sea” (1999)
- This whole movie sucked hard, it shouldnt win ANYTHING
The fact that nothing from Peter Jackson's Dead Alive isn't on the list, basically means that it sucks. That film deals with death and blood like Shakespeare dealt with the english language.
See for yourself

- inactive, on 11/08/2007, -0/+7American History X curb stomp for the non-horror deaths.
- SiNN4R, on 11/07/2007, -0/+5Night of the living dead was about the most rational fear you should have.. fear of people.
- SenorCardgage74, on 11/07/2007, -0/+4Cant tell ya how surprised I was when I saw that this wasn't on cracked.com?
- Gee4orce, on 11/07/2007, -0/+4My favourite was always Dallas's demise in Alien. First there's the whole crazy tension of being in dark claustrophobic ducts with only a torch and a temperamental homemade flamethrower; then add in the genius touch of a motion tracker that shows - something - closing in on him...and the panic setting in when he finally decides to make a move. Bear in mind we haven't even seen the alien at this point. Then he turns, and his torchlight illuminates that ...thing ! Teeth, claws...static.
Zero blood. 100% genius. - schrankage, on 11/07/2007, -0/+4wow lawn mOWNT
- hasansexy, on 11/07/2007, -0/+3That, my friend, was ***** amazing
- HiddenCanuck, on 11/07/2007, -0/+3Miles Dyson in T2 for the win.
"....idontknow....howmuchlonger....icanholdthis!!....." - bruinexmo, on 11/07/2007, -2/+5This is absolutely pointless without links to the all videos.
- bbrad2, on 11/07/2007, -0/+3for non-horror you HAVE to give it to William Dafoe in Platoon.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytgTvbJQKK0 - rjprux, on 11/08/2007, -1/+4remove "the" and "Best" from title.
buried as inaccurate and for being *****. - Nat3r, on 11/07/2007, -0/+3disagree
peter jacksons Bad Taste had the better scene, when he kicked the head out the window, or when peter jackson trows himself into the enemys mouth, only to be "born again" - tcdk, on 11/07/2007, -0/+3That one haunts me... It's the only thing I still wish that I hadn't seen (or heard [CRUNCH!] )
- crashflow, on 11/12/2007, -1/+4I'm pretty sure same thing happened in Executive Decision when Steven Seagal was torn apart by turbulence.
- redwire, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2Paul Reubens AKA "pee wee hermen" in the original Buffy movie really needed a mention. Say what you will about him but that man knew how to die.
Eventually.
http://video.aol.com/video-detail/paul-reubens-in- ... - SiNN4R, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2Don't forget the sheep.
- samury, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2What about when Christopher Walken shotgunned David Caruso in the face in King of New York?
- MrHappy123, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2never do stand up!
- kingvik, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2what about 2girls1cup, lemonparty, meatspin, etc.
- osirislink, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2Haha, yeah. Chris Walken is hillarious in that scene. "Egg plant".
- Chewbaubca, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2This list is terrible.
- oboredone, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2No mention of Silent Hill's "woman getting barbed wire up the c@#t and being sliced in half from the inside out" scene?
Very disappointing... - lcarsdeveloper, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2You're talking about this one: http://www.cracked.com/article_15641_movie-deaths- ...
- craftyshrew, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Blade Runner eye-gouging still makes me squeamish.
- CryingWolf, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Yep a very moving death scene. Sad it wasn't mentioned
- luket13, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Anyone else thinking more along the lines of getting chopped by an Ax in American Psycho or The pulp Fiction scene where John travolta blows his informants head off by accident
- maxyRO, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1God, I so love the scene where Paris dies :D
- superal1394, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1the elevator scene from the departed, and when the guy gets thrown off the roof in the departed.
Also, Hans being thrown out of Nakatomi tower in Die Hard - Starflyer59, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1My personal favorite is Dennis Hopper's death in True Romance. You're Sicilian, huh?
- Eronamanthius, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1I always put the liquid nitrogen death together with Wesley Snipes' death in Demolition Man. Plus, he gets his head kicked off! Can't beat that.
- GawtMilk, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Why are some of these scenes [Elm Street is alright, but others] on here? What about Fargo [especially, that should be #2]? Meet Joe Black? Chest Burster in Alien?
Deep Blue Sea SUCKED. So does that scene. - Eronamanthius, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1I already expected Psycho to get the top spot, but the other ones were pretty cool. Nice list - I'm glad they didn't put FD higher up than number 20 - that would have been too cheesy.
- thelimopit, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1My favourite description of Paris Hilton's death scene in House of Wax is from the Time Out Film Guide, which simply states: "Paris Hilton gets gruesomely impaled (again)."
- typicalusername, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Personally, my most memorable ones the past couple of years come out of "30 Days of Night". Decapitating a little girl, and a gruesome scene of cutting a guys head off top my list in recent memory...
- neeyo, on 11/07/2007, -1/+2Nothing from Army of Darkness?
I always thought the T1000 death(s) in T2 were pretty cool. Especially when he was frozen by liquid nitrogen and Arnold does the "hasta la vista, baby" and shatters him and then he eventually melts back together.
On the whole I agree with the other comments that this list is useless and meaningless. - Morality, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Dugg. Its a good list. Stop bitching and moaning because its not YOUR list.
- windmillninja, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Yeah, but that kind of death's been done over and over again. FMJ was just the first to show it all in one shot. No pun intended.
- windmillninja, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1There was a scene from some late 80s/early 90s B flick. Can't remember the name of the film, but it's during a street fight and one guy shoves his hand all the way up through the other guy's anus, poking his fingers through the back of his eye sockets and mouth and turning the guy inside out. This scene should have definitely been included.
- CryingWolf, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1After a little research I probably didn't see that scene at the drive-in. But I did read the book at about the same time, and Dallas's death scene is in the director's cut.
- windmillninja, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Are you referring to the wood chipper in Fargo? Because that wasnt exactly a "death scene". Buscemi got shot. That's just how Stormare's character was disposing of the body.
- Dudeee, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1I saw the first two movies and already hated that list day of the dead was better then most of those deaths.
- windmillninja, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1That DotD scene gives me chills to this day. Mainly because dude was still talking after the fact. I first saw it when I was 11. I've never been the same since.
- alex199, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1The best recent death was Donnie Wahlberg's in Saw 4. SQQUUUUUUISSSSH!
- Vermifax, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1D'onofrio in "Full Metal Jacket". I mean, dayum.
- CryingWolf, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Actually he didn't die in the duct. Depending on which version of course, but I saw it at a drive-in when it came out, Dallas was actually captured and cocooned, and Ripley burned him when she came across him.
You are right though, your mind and imagination makes for some of the best horror scenes. - superal1394, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Also, Mike Dyson's death in T2
- volcom88, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Buried for not having a single reference to Kill Bill.
