Should be changed to:
"Give any fanboy with Adobe® Photoshop® software about five minutes and you’d see much better results." - threemagic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+32I think we have a nomination for worst website on the net...
- Farik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+31You actually watched the film?
- maglob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30As bad as the Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 poster is, it makes the film look better than it actually is.
- rejectnation, on 10/12/2007, -3/+32I disagree with Brick and The Aristocrats being on this list...
But I will give you the digg anyway, because the rest of the list is awesome! - RomulusX86, on 10/12/2007, -8/+33mirror:
http://www.filmcynic.com.nyud.net:8080/movies/worst-posters/ - ElbridgeGerry, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23No, HERE's the worst:
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/180/477448887_702426991f_o.png - kirtap, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15am I missing something or is the description of Big Momma's House 2 way completely wrong?
- mike81890, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Being someone who LOVED brick, I think the poster kinda fits. That being said, you should be able to understand the poster of the movie without seeing the film first. The designer had it backwards
- Uranium118, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18They are so bad even the site crashed to spare me to horror.
- Greyfox1221, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14I loved the Brick posters. They went well with the "scrapbook/torn-pieces-of-paper motif (or whatever) or the movie. The movie was so awesome.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13"Who is Corky Romano? Who gives a damn?"
Dugg just for that. - BastardySkull, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8The typography featured in The Aristocrats film poster was excellent... if this guy cant see that then he has no right to be sitting critiquing movie posters as if hes a graphic design god.
- kethraal, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10"You actually watched the film?"
To quote Brian: "Pot helps." - tamurlane6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Really? I mean... Really!? Are you serious?
- mattxb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Yeah, I couldnt imagine anything better for Aristocrats. Also, even though the Superman poster is pretty bad, I don't know how the guy can call it an example of "mailing it in" when its a hand painted poster that obviously someone put some intense work into.
- shreveyboy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12I agree with you. Especially the Brick poster which, if the person who wrote this article had seen the movie, goes along with the plot of the movie.
- elstgav, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8http://www.metix.net/cov/bigmamma2+ost.jpg
This looks like the what he was talking about, though it's for a soundtrack - DeskFlyer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8"I think I see a butt-plug floating around way in the back."
- Farik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I agree with you on The Aristocrats, I can't see any other poster than this... just think of the possibilities for a poster if it was to use actual movie content.
- Genjeta, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8The superman poster wasn't nearly as bad as he described it to be, and didn't deserve anywhere near 1st place on the list.
- fantasticFlan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7A poster is supposed to make you interested in a movie. If you need to see the movie to think the poster works, that's kind of a chicken and egg problem.
- an7agonist, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11http://www.filmcynic.com.nyud.net:8080/movies/worst-posters/
- VelvetoneFusion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Definitely agreed with the Aristocrats poster. This is exactly the poster that first sold the movie on me. As i kept reading name after name, it just made me want to see it more and more.
- N1NJ4hippie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Did anyone else yawn when they read "Excuse me while a stifle a yawn"? Damn contagious yawns!
- krabat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Hooray! Another list by someone who has no idea what the ***** they are talking about so they have an excuse to try and be funny on the Internet!
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Man that Hercules movie was shown at "Movies to make your eyes bleed" night in my dorm my freshman year, god it was horrible and with out the heavy amounts of alcohol I had consumed I don't think I would have laughed that hard.
- jcdickerson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Man, as bad as Superman III was - the poster is dreadful. Sadly, I actually remember this on my wall, eagerly anticipating the film... I was very young and I think this was the first opportunity life had to reset my unrealistic expectations...
- K4P741NxKRUNCH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Goddamit, we crashed the mirror!
Now thats seven years bad luck :'( - kjcdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I thought the aristocrats poster was pretty good actually.
- homsar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3They forgot "Chairman of the Board," with Carrot Top. Just seeing his hideous face on a movie poster should qualify that poster for the bottom 5.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3What about ever movie poster that only shows half of each actors face against a black background.
- widoka, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000F1IQHI.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_V56285096_.jpg
He was talking about the dvd cover picture, not the poster. I noticed that too. - purple, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4He isn't talking about the DVD cover.
He talks about the dog, which isn't on the poster he shows, but is in on the DVD cover.
He also talks about Big Momma in her swimsuit, which isn't on the DVD cover. - ronaldpoi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Matrix Revolutions was the worst for me...
http://www.answers.com/topic/matrix-revolutions-cover-jpg - kevlarbaboon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3(yawn)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you stare at the Aristocrats poster for a solid 30 seconds, you'll see the image of a grandfather eye-***** his grandson. Here's the kicker: the grandson was a miscarriage. Clever advertising if you ask me.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3mirror is broken. now 404 days of bad luck
- sharpe27, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No, but I yawned when you brought it to my attention.
Now I can't stop! - LaueOfficer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yawning and laughing at the same time is a VERY weird experience.
- t1tlehto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The number 6. Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 Review starts with this:
"This movie is considered one of the all-time worst by both critics and fans."
This is seriously incorrect: There are no fans for this movie! - alidogramaci, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This list doesn't make any sense, other than one or two of the posters, the rest serves the porpuse pretty well in my opinion.
- hatenerds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the 'Outrageous' poster is actually total class.
love it. - TheMrEman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2So "...of All Time" now means from 1970 to the present? hrm.
Seems like there could have been some serious gold if the author had dug a bit deeper.
Oh, and also if he had any sense of what he was talking about. - stains123344, on 12/19/2008, -0/+0This guy clearly hasnt seen brick. If he had he would have known that Joseph Gordon-Levitt didnt play "the pin" who is the character in the poster it was Lukas Haas
- essjay, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Error:
"Give any fanboy with Adobe® Photoshop® software about five minutes and you’d see much better results."
Should be changed to:
"Give any fanboy with Adobe® Photoshop® software and a working crack about five minutes and you’d see much better results."
Fanboys don't pay for anything, that's why they're not fanmen.... - marlonmunsen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Hah. Schwarzenegger looks like he's made out of fried chicken.
- LR2_, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1This reminds me of the article a while back that talked about the horrible dvd cover art that appears on so many dvds.
- bananaspiders, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5Excellent article...
Funny, true... and sad in how people could've gotten paid for such atrocious creations... -
