  • Philosomatika, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1I really like the A Scanner Darkly film, yes I did read the book a few years before I saw the film, but I thought the rotoscoping paid homage to the book and it wouldn’t have been the same without it. (I dont believe it was a gimmick) I wouldn’t say it’s a film to keep you inside for the summer but it’s definitely not a bad film. I persoanlly feel the film adaptation is good but as other people have said if you have a choice read the book first then watch the film, its always good to read.
