- tcsucks, on 07/20/2008, -5/+31A Scanner Darkly? LOLOMGWTF
- eggsovereasy, on 07/21/2008, -1/+4Well... the book is good :/
- nunofgs, on 07/21/2008, -3/+2I like to think I have a stomach for bad movies but A Scanner Darkly was the ONLY movie I ever stopped watching halfway.
- coyote1284, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1Then I'd suggest avoiding Johnny Mnemonic, another craptacular adaption of an other cyber-punk author's work, also starring Keanu.
/Almost giving up hope for a decent "Neuromancer" movie.
- coyote1284, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1Then I'd suggest avoiding Johnny Mnemonic, another craptacular adaption of an other cyber-punk author's work, also starring Keanu.
- LemonChicken, on 07/21/2008, -1/+2Are you kidding me?
- Shakermaker, on 07/21/2008, -2/+2Agreed. A Scanner Darkly was nothing but a "gimmick" film. The only thing it had going for it was that it looked cool. Otherwise it was a big pile of stink.
- drgmdp, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1as most linklater's films
- themastersb, on 07/21/2008, -1/+2just what the people on Digg need... more reasons to stay inside.
- bagboyrebel, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1What the hell are you people talking about? I thought it was an awesome movie.
- louiebaur, on 07/20/2008, -0/+15Ah this one is one that I haven't seen in awhile Arachnophobia. Heeby Jeebies:-)
- hmd1987, on 07/20/2008, -1/+5hahahahha Arachnophobia....that film may be directly responsible for why I'm terrified of any spider.
- daebat, on 07/21/2008, -1/+3it's a classic. you should definitely watch it.
- donkeySays, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1I watched it when I was a kid and COULD NOT sleep the whole ***** night!
- jiller, on 07/21/2008, -0/+6Yay for two RDJ films.
- daebat, on 07/21/2008, -2/+4I liked this list. All very good movies.
- SteaminTmann, on 07/21/2008, -0/+6Yea, but kind of a letdown when I was expecting pornos
- GetSmartGal, on 07/21/2008, -2/+7Not sure about My Girl but the rest.....pretty good list there!
- mcfara, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1I know it sounds crazy, but as a kid My Girl scared the crap out of me too...bee stings are not cool.
- Bobzero, on 07/21/2008, -0/+3O.k. here is the real one, not only will keep you indoors but you may think twice before you go in the shower!,,,,and no..i am not talking about Psycho./...for me it was......

- poidh, on 07/21/2008, -0/+5Or porn.
- MrFurious2k, on 07/21/2008, -0/+3I don't know, I'm personally terrified of Bad Horse. You know, the "Thoroughbred of Sin." The thought of hearing his death whinny is enough to keep me in the house.
- poidh, on 07/21/2008, -4/+33To be fair, all they've done is list 10 good films. Anyone can do that.
Here you go:
The Mist
The Thing (1982 remake)
The Godfather
Blade Runner
Saving Private Ryan
Alien
Casino
Goodfellas
King of New York
Swallow My Squirt 2 (lol)- FeloniusMonkey, on 07/21/2008, -2/+3You forgot Ishtar.
- poidh, on 07/21/2008, -0/+5Only had 10 slots. Sorry.

All my list was was 9 good films off the top of my head, plus one porn film which I had to google for, just for the lolz. - thirdcoastborn, on 07/21/2008, -5/+2bitch don't ***** cuss when replying to my ***** comment you hoe. The Bronx Tale is a ***** classic. What the ***** is wrong with you?
How the ***** do you put bladerunner and the Mist in your top 10. The Mist? Are you smoking crack.
- poidh, on 07/21/2008, -4/+5No, I didn't ***** forget them. There was no chance of them getting in there in the first place.
- daebat, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2the mist sucked!

1. Dr. Strangelove
2. Children of Men
3. Snatch
4. In Bruges
5. The Dark Knight
6. A Clockwork Orange
7. Reservoir Dogs
8. The Shining
9. Fight Club
10. The Big Lebowski - bagboyrebel, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1The Mist was good, but I don't understand why they would stick so close to the story and then completely change the ending (For the worse IMO).
- FeloniusMonkey, on 07/21/2008, -2/+3You forgot Ishtar.
- iguanapunk, on 07/21/2008, -0/+11The top 10 movies that keep me indoors tend to be of the x-rated genre, and if I'm honest, there's more than a top 10.
- HumanGlitch, on 07/21/2008, -8/+3Movies are for the weak.
Real men watch pornos consisting of bloody murders. - Timmaay, on 07/21/2008, -0/+12I love how when it's cold out we whine about it, then when it's hot we complain about that. I'm definitely guilty of this myself, it's just funny.
- brentinkc, on 07/21/2008, -6/+1Heads up- whenever you have to explain to people that something is funny, it's not funny. FYI.
- LemonChicken, on 07/21/2008, -0/+5You're not funny.
- Deadpixel1221, on 07/21/2008, -0/+4I disagree, I think his idiocy is hilarious.
- Misos, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1What's hilarious about it? Cold and heat are extremities by definition. Our bodies are best suited to certain temperatures, anything above or below those temperatures are too hot or too cold.
- Timmaay, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2Relax Jr Einstein, I was just making an observation :P
- daebat, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1it's human nature to never settle. otherwise we'd still be chillin' in the trees eating bananas in africa... wait what trees?
- Jektal, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1...are you suggesting that Africa doesn't have trees?
- btschul, on 07/21/2008, -0/+3...are you suggesting coconuts migrate?
- btschul, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1I never complain about cold, however I ***** hate summer. ***** summer. ***** you, sun. God it's so ***** hot outside.
- brentinkc, on 07/21/2008, -6/+1Heads up- whenever you have to explain to people that something is funny, it's not funny. FYI.
- s0m31john, on 07/21/2008, -0/+39Diggers don't really need a reason to stay indoors.
- cutchyacokov, on 07/21/2008, -0/+3Ramen brother.

- lanium, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1unless you see him in "Weird Science". having watched that movie only a week after seeing "Iron Man" I was really quite distressed
- whitelights, on 07/21/2008, -0/+19I think Digg covers the whole "staying indoors" thing.
- Gimjee, on 07/21/2008, -0/+8This list fails.

One more thing: Read 1984, don't watch it.- Dundasbro, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2And when you read it and get to the part about The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism, it might be best to just skip that part. It drags on forever and doesn't really impact upon the plot whatsoever.
- mk3k, on 07/21/2008, -2/+1clockwork orange too.
- WoollyMittens, on 07/21/2008, -2/+1It's raining and it's dark and cold here. :(
- cl2yp71c, on 07/21/2008, -3/+3I wanted to cry after watching 1984.
They totally butchered the book. - thirdcoastborn, on 07/21/2008, -3/+5It's ***** summer.............go outside and play on the ***** slide *****.
- NeoMatrixJR, on 07/21/2008, -2/+4Have you ever been on one of those old metal slides that are still in some small town parks? If not, go find one...wear some shorts on a REALLY hot summer day and go try to slide down. Oh, and I claim no responsibility should you try this and get yourself injured...you've been warned....
- thirdcoastborn, on 07/21/2008, -3/+5***** that *****. I said for you all to do it not me. I'll be on 6th. Street Pimpin Hoes.
- orangeguitar311, on 07/21/2008, -0/+5A middle aged digg user playing on a slide during the summer with lots of kids around doesn't sound weird at all.....
- nafnosseb, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1It is winter here, or is digg a northern hemisphere thing?
- NeoMatrixJR, on 07/21/2008, -2/+4Have you ever been on one of those old metal slides that are still in some small town parks? If not, go find one...wear some shorts on a REALLY hot summer day and go try to slide down. Oh, and I claim no responsibility should you try this and get yourself injured...you've been warned....
- jjef, on 07/21/2008, -0/+6let the "A Scanner Darkly" novel keep you indoors instead.
- Tallon29, on 07/21/2008, -1/+3Buried for no "Happening"
- LemonChicken, on 07/21/2008, -0/+5"The Happening"? No, that keeps you away from movie theaters.
- mk3k, on 07/21/2008, -0/+4The Crappening is better.
- keithnoir, on 07/21/2008, -0/+4Why would Jaws keep you indoors? I never saw any land sharks....
- milkmage, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2candygram

***** The Mist...some dumbass put The Mist & My Girl earlier. What a puss. - AchaIemoipas, on 07/21/2008, -0/+10Number one should be Jesus Camp.
That movie terrified me.- cutchyacokov, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1That didn't really make me want to stay indoors . . . it just made me want to stay away from certain sothern states.
- LoudMusic, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1Unless they're showing the movie outside.
http://www.silvermooncinema.com/ - Philosomatika, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1I really like the A Scanner Darkly film, yes I did read the book a few years before I saw the film, but I thought the rotoscoping paid homage to the book and it wouldn’t have been the same without it. (I dont believe it was a gimmick) I wouldn’t say it’s a film to keep you inside for the summer but it’s definitely not a bad film. I persoanlly feel the film adaptation is good but as other people have said if you have a choice read the book first then watch the film, its always good to read.
- vailancio248, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1Movies to be distributed on self destructing DVDs
