- CrimsonBlur, on 11/24/2008, -5/+20"Superman Returns" sucked. Why should we be excited about this project when Singer is attached to it? The first two X-Men movies were awesome, I'll give him that, but he botched Superman.
- NathanielJ, on 11/24/2008, -2/+16Introducing him as "Superman Returns director", really? Introduce him by some of his good work (X-Men, X2, or Usual Suspects) for crying out loud.
- locojones, on 11/24/2008, -3/+11Superman Returns sucked so bad that the theater I was in collapsed into a black hole. I wonder what Singer will do to ruin this new project?
- JordanM85, on 11/24/2008, -0/+8Superman Returns was an embarrassment. It was beyond terrible. I love some of his older movies, but I will now specifically avoid anything Bryan Singer does.
- rjhomuth, on 11/24/2008, -1/+8Superman Returns sucks. This comic will probably be worse than White Ninja.
- NWVG, on 11/24/2008, -2/+8Superman Returns is one of the few movies I've ever walked out on before it was over (Another recent one was Spiderman 3). At least I can just close the browser if this web series is horrible, and not be out $10.
- MidnightRIder77, on 11/24/2008, -2/+7Love Superman, hated Superman Returns. What a ***** film.
- BigEasy, on 11/24/2008, -1/+6Singer may have some good work in his resumé, but at the end of the day, Joss Whedon he ain't and Dr. Horrible this isn't.
- AllINeed, on 11/24/2008, -5/+8Love Superman... can't wait for the stuff on our end.
- Darksoul, on 11/25/2008, -1/+4Superman Returns sucked ass Brian Singer is a hack no thanks seriously they should of never canceled the JLU show it was pure ownage and its funny that it was only canceled because they didn't want to draw attention away from Superman Returns and did I already say which sucked ass.
- NathanielJ, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3I could be reading it wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the H+ series that this article is talking about has nothing to do with Superman.
- stevelawrence, on 11/25/2008, -0/+3'webisodes' - ***** off with the stupid awkward marketing *****. Marketing people think anything with the word 'web' in it is automatically cool but they can suck my balls.
- Princeamor, on 11/24/2008, -1/+4I hope it's not as gay as the movie
- Xihix, on 11/24/2008, -1/+4Why not recognize him as the dude who made X-Men and X2, since those two movies actually kicked ass?
- groundzerofilms, on 11/25/2008, -0/+2He should stick to producing House.
- krnldmp, on 11/24/2008, -2/+4Why.
- Wreckage, on 11/25/2008, -0/+2FYI I am happily digging all Superman Returns sucks comments.
Not sure how Superman "returns" after being gone for a long time to find a younger Lois Lane has a kid that might be his.... Worse than a feckin soap opera. Not to mention the uber boyscout Superman decides to move in on her husbands action. - flangepiece, on 11/25/2008, -0/+2Web-balls.
- ibeetle, on 11/25/2008, -0/+2X-Men and X2 was for Fox this is Warners. Superman was for Warners. This is a Warners project. Warners is going to promote Warners not other studios.
- MrFisty, on 11/25/2008, -0/+2I work in a digital agency and I die a little inside whenever I hear a client say "put it in the blogosphere" or "let's do a webinar".
It's a ***** video conference. They've been around for years! - cddict1, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1Superman rocks.
- Deadpixel1221, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1Superman II had black kids with English accents, would you rather have that or no black people?
- Darksoul, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1Couldn't agree with you more.
- RobotBuddha, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1I really miss the old animated dc universe stuff that branched out from batman. More of that, less of this.
- timothycrash01, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1As the saying goes - people judge / remember you from what you did last.
"People" are generally stupid and shortsighted (notice the couple of comments above you). Geeks are notorious for running over great talent 'cause of one mistep. It's like a gang of old ladies at the local bridge club. - Meursault, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1Soon he'll be known as the Valkyrie director!
- mistergoomba, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1poor bryan singer... being referred to as the superman returns director
- inactive, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1I agree, despite how much I'll get dugg down.
Just watch an Evening With Kevin Smith... we could have gotten:
No Cape
Doesn't Fly
Giant Spider fight at the end (Jon Peters reused this idea for Wild Wild West)
...or Heaven forbid Jon Peters' other ideas for Superman
Tim Burton/Gothic Superman
Nicholas Cage as Superman
We got great director continuing the work that Richard Donner began. Not to mention having Marlon Brando back, and Kevin Spacy in as Lex Luthor. I'll take Superman Returns over Superman II (Lester), Superman III (Lester), Superman IV, or SuperGirl. - Deadpixel1221, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1/0
- solidus636, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1No, you totally won't.
- HomeSkillz, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1He may have botched Superman royally, but he also directed The Usual Suspects, so Singer's still alright in my book.
- mcsurvey, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1Can Superman at least throw a punch, please.
- ibeetle, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1X-Men and X2 was for Fox this is Warners. Superman was for Warners. This is a Warners project. Warners is going to promote Warners not other studios
- ninjadave, on 11/24/2008, -1/+1oh goodie...
- inactive, on 11/25/2008, -1/+1I SUCKED ASS!
- jggube, on 11/24/2008, -3/+3I'm very excited to see the Superman saga into the web - when I was a kid, it was a ratty old comic book store in some tiny "something"-ville town, now to be able to see it in all sorts of media is simply exciting and amazing. (I still miss that old comic book store though - sans the middle-aged men lurking around the shop at noon on a weekday).
- lovemorgul, on 11/24/2008, -3/+3Now the developers implemented this limitation was very good and still keeps up with their resolve to make this game feel like the comic books and movies.
- utopianfiat, on 11/25/2008, -0/+0Seriously, what a terrible movie. He's probably doing this because nobody in their right mind will fund him for expensive TV.
- FeloniusMonkey, on 11/24/2008, -2/+1Thank you for posting this, so I didn't have to... Verbatim!
- cpdylan, on 11/24/2008, -1/+0not much on Superman though. Anyone know any more details about this H+ show?
- arunforce, on 11/25/2008, -2/+1It didn't suck, it was mediocre.
- inactive, on 11/25/2008, -3/+1collapsed into a black hole? how did you manage to escape a black hole that not even LIGHT can escape?!
- sockpuppets, on 11/24/2008, -3/+1I didn't realize superman took the director in the first place.
- ninjarr, on 11/24/2008, -4/+2so much hate, i loved returns; sure it was no superman: the movie but it was still damn ***** good.
- GeeksSpeakFont, on 11/24/2008, -4/+1i will totally be on that web series!
- wilhoitm, on 11/25/2008, -5/+1Hopefully there will be some Black people that have speaking parts! "Superman Returns" had no African American's actors with even one word of dialogue. Where does Bryan Singer think Metropolis is anyway, Vermont?
Obama is President now Bitches! - cubicledrone, on 11/24/2008, -6/+1Make sure to hire non-union actors now so you don't have to pay them residuals.
