- burningrobot, on 10/04/2009, -0/+10Zoe Bell kicks ass. Kill Bill III in works, btw.
- dirtymerkin, on 10/04/2009, -0/+8I will digg any thing related to Zoe Bell. She is the *****.
- lsatkins, on 10/04/2009, -1/+6So you imported an American movie from Japan that is readily available in the States? Was it significantly cheaper or is it just cooler to say you got it from Japan?
- clyentnine, on 10/04/2009, -0/+3Saw her at Slows BarBQue in Detroit while they where filming this last summer, and she is built. She got a table in 3 minutes after me and my girlfriend had been waiting an hour. Can't begrudge the awesomeness.
- inactive, on 10/04/2009, -0/+3I think Quentin Tarantino casts all these heroic women in ass-kicking roles just so he can ***** them.
- TheOceanic666, on 10/04/2009, -1/+3why did she squint her way through death proof???
she seriously SQUINTED THE ENTIRE MOVIE
drove me insane
benjamin would've killed her squinty ass if she brought that crap on lost. - inactive, on 10/04/2009, -0/+2I import my Pabst beer direct from Mexico, I am such a hipster.
- ColPow11, on 10/05/2009, -0/+2God bless New Zealand. They can do no wrong.
- emacs, on 10/04/2009, -0/+2Zoe Bell was also the stunt coordinator for http://tiff.net/filmsandschedules/films/bitchslap I saw the film during TIFF and, yes, there's intentional camp, women-loving-women scenes and loads of cleavage as the trailer suggests.
- KeithLM, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1In Dallas we have an amateur flat track league and I've attended a couple of their matches: http://www.derbydevils.com/news.php
I'd say from the trailer that those girls look like they could fit in with the local league. Some of the girls are small, especially the jammers. - burningrobot, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1Next time, reservations?
- shadowspawn, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1I wonder if this movie is going to have actresses anything like the roller girls I've known, and if the games are like anything like I've seen. Every game I ever go to, it seems one of the girls gets a broken bone.
http://www.txrd.com/ (Lonestar Rollergirls website, videos, teams, and pictures etc. it's kinda fun going to the games!)
From the pictures I've seen of "Whip It" it looks like Barrymore picked waif-thin hollywood chicks. Kinda makes sense, however, that a stunt woman would be in it at least for some accuracy; some real derby girls can break someone in two and sometimes do. Think of them as female versions of linebackers who have to be agile enough on skates at high speed. Not all mind you, just some. - clyentnine, on 10/06/2009, -0/+1No reservations at Slows, they pack the place no matter what
- ZoomBoy, on 10/06/2009, -0/+1No, I mean the R2 release of Grindhouse, douche.
- ZiggyILM, on 10/05/2009, -0/+1She mentions one line about Tarantino's "genius mind" and that gets thrown into the title? Why does everyone have a hard-on for this guy?
- ZoomBoy, on 10/04/2009, -0/+1No, it was most likely more expensive if he bought the package I did. That Japanese box set is the best Grindhouse release bar none. Both movies + cool packaging + trailers actually included.
- imkidred, on 10/05/2009, -0/+1I thought she was doing whip its with Tarantino :(
- cooterville, on 10/05/2009, -0/+1You mean the Japanese movie that was heavily influenced by American pop culture and cinema?
- codyman, on 10/04/2009, -6/+2Just watched Grindhouse (the theatrical release via Japanese import unlike the stupid split DVDs here in America... Weinstein Company FAIL)
Anyways, I love both those films... its hard to say which is better, Planet Terror or Death Proof, as they are both totally different films but watching her do her stunts with the Challenger is just always awesome
