- chrisinsocalif, on 09/20/2008, -0/+17Isn't Seth a little fat to be the Green Hornet?
- kismetropolis, on 09/19/2008, -1/+18I was very excited about this article until I saw who was involved with it.
- ScreenRant, on 09/19/2008, -4/+19I love Stephen Chow, but with him as director and co-star plus Seth Godin and Evan Goldberg involved I'm afraid they're going to make this a full-on comedy with little resemblance to the show we grew up watching.
- inactive, on 09/20/2008, -1/+15Please Stephen Chow, save this movie.
- crazylegs001, on 09/20/2008, -0/+10Bruce Lee was the ***** MAN!!!
- idavidtang, on 09/20/2008, -0/+9But Bruce Lee is not the master when it comes to comedy, he kills it with his one inch punch.
- sh0rtstop00, on 09/20/2008, -1/+9I wonder if non-Chinese people really understood Shaolin Soccer because the many jokes in the film can't really be translated to English... much of the Chinese language films suffer from that. Understanding the basic meaning of a phase is one thing, but knowing where it came from is another lesson in Chinese Literature.
- hiPpymIck, on 09/20/2008, -1/+9..teach us O Wise One
- NinjaPig, on 09/20/2008, -1/+8Stephen Chow's idol is Bruce Lee, of course he's going to take the role that made Bruce Lee a house hold name. As for seth Rogen, i just hope he doesn't get in the way because the green hornet really is the "Kato show". CJ7 was surprisingly awesome, this is going to rule.
- NickLee808, on 09/20/2008, -0/+7Despite how "well-known" they are, I'd say that Stephen Chow's style of humor tops Jackie Chan's.
- packerh8r84, on 09/19/2008, -5/+12No one can top Bruce Lee. He was the master.
- pagno, on 09/20/2008, -0/+6Why does all "notable" movie gossip come from Latino Review?
- Halsfield, on 09/20/2008, -0/+6@chrisinsocalif (it wont let me post replies to you for some reason)
most of his other movies are comedies, this isnt going to be any different i dont think(i guess its obvious because he threw in seth rogen) the idea of seth rogen being a crimefighter with an asian sidekick(that even in the original tv series always saved the main character's ass at the last second and got little thanks)should lead to some "crazy hijinx and shenannigans" as they say . then it was racism, now they'll parody it for comedy gold(im assuming)
I too am a little tired of seth rogen comedies, he plays the same guy in every one, which is fine, but thats really not enjoyable to watch the same character over and over, kinda the same with jack black . funny guys in small doses. Hopefully he doesnt ruin what could be a great comedy and overall epic movie. - NickLee808, on 09/20/2008, -0/+6Speculation on the two of them starring in this movie only ran for about, six hundred MONTHS.
Next, we're going to see confirmation that Johnny Depp is the Riddler.
And that Palin is stupid. - wpong, on 09/20/2008, -0/+4who's seth godin?
- KnivesForRobots, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3the green bumblebee
- wentwhere, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3Kung Fu Hustle was sweet, did any word ever come about regarding the sequel?
- mugupo, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3Stepen Chow perhaps now the number 2 well know Chinese Actor behind Jackie Chan "recently". He still does better in his prime during early years all those comdedy, laterly he turn out of his style such as going for Martial Art, Fantasy and Anime (DBZ) Kung FU hustle will good for sequel but i really wanna see Shaolin Soccer 2, that is like he's best movie ever !
- Exzhaton, on 09/20/2008, -1/+4Interesting combination.
- Halsfield, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3seth godin is what seth rogen turns into when he eats people that dont go see his movies. thats the only thing i can think of to make people go see them.

taco bell
product placement by taco bell - kmesp86, on 09/20/2008, -0/+3Hao!
- HMMaster, on 09/20/2008, -1/+3most of stephen chow's recent movie are not as funny as his movies in the 80's/90's...
- AntiPropaganda, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2sounds like pure hype.
- naturevalleyoat, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2BRUCE LEE
- inactive, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2Stephen Chow you have a nice movie just keep it up ok.
- juzbcool, on 09/23/2008, -0/+2Cool!! Maybe Stephen Chow can bring his "mo lei tau" style of comedy to Hollywood...
- 12340987, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2He is a moron so we teach him all the wrong kung fu
- inactive, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2Hah! Their Kung-Fu is weak, and ...also useless. Ha ha!
- exgiexpcv, on 09/21/2008, -0/+2"God of Cookery" is one of my all-time favourite movies, and I can't pay my American friends to see it, usually, much less "Fight Back to School", "King of Comedy", and so on. I fervently *pray* Hollywood leaves him alone and allows him to work his genius without all kinds of ass-for-brains execs hacking his movies apart between their lattes and massages and Reiki sessions.
The man is so effing talented, I would hate to see him get chewed up and spit out by the machine. - VinnieDaMac, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2This is exciting, I would have never dreamed of a collaboration between Seth Rogen and Stephen Chow. I like Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer a lot.
- ScreenRant, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2Yeah, sorrry. I noticed I typed the wrong last name too late to edit it. He's a marketing guy whose blog I follow and I confused the last names. :-P
- pagno, on 09/21/2008, -0/+2Ive been to Korea. I know you mean.
- ScreenRant, on 09/21/2008, -0/+2I hear he's lost a lot of weight and is getting in shape big-time for the role.
- ZenMojo, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2I trust Stephen Chow to handle anything, and I usually trust Seth Rogan in anything. But Seth Rogan as the Green Hornet? Meh.
- ZenMojo, on 09/20/2008, -0/+2Have you been to L.A.? Half of the movies are already on DVD. You should go to Korean Review, where they actually have a review for the movie online.
- mugupo, on 09/20/2008, -1/+2Agree, but Jackie Chan is a global icon, especially among kid, because he only focus making family movie in western and has its own cartoon show, stephen chow is favor among asian.
- PresRob, on 09/20/2008, -1/+2I hope they have Patrick Warburton as the Green Hornet and treat it like Big Trouble in Little China
- IceX, on 09/20/2008, -2/+2Nothing will top Stephen Chow's pre-2000 Hong Kong Movies
- fatas, on 09/20/2008, -3/+2This should go well with my yellow fever.
Got no love for fat chics, i.e. Americans. - NickLee808, on 09/20/2008, -3/+2Right, because when you found out Stephen Chow and Seth Rogen were involved in it, you went from being "very excited" to "very, VERY excited."
- inactive, on 09/20/2008, -9/+2I was very excited about this article until I saw who was involved with it.
