- Abyss_908, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Atlantis is great. Most of the episodes are good. Loved all but one of the 2nd half of season 2 on the torrents. The 3 part episode the siege was just stupid. What they did with Ford got kinda dumb and medicore. It seems like the same thing everytime though something happens and a person or team has to be rescued or escape from somewhere. But it is a solid show with some good episodes. Battlestar Galactica and SG-1 would be better on blu-ray. Battlestar would be extremly easy because it is shot in HD.

Atlantis is way better than SG1 season 9. Just season 9. And I was a huge Farscape fan and Ben Browder is not in anyway influencing my feeling that the show should have ended in season 8. The Ori suck ass. I like the Wraith as villains. Of course, to be perfectly honest, I have a decent DVD player and a 50" HD TV and it look pretty darn good.
Just the fact that this is a Sony Media thing is going to make me stay as far away as possible. I love Sony hardware, but their warped idea of what people want out of their media formats leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Similar to the circuit city Divx fiasco as Detour mentioned.

I dont care if its HD or not thats like comparing a VHS tape to a DVD why in the hell would i want a bulky ass tape when i can get a DVD? I can afford D-VHS easily and i dont want anythign to do with it ive been waiting on HD-DVD and ill continue to wait and ill buy it and plenty of people i know will buy it noone wants a damn VHS tape anymore regardless if its HD.
There is already HD-DVD discs out also check your local pr0n shop Island Fever 3 and Pirates is just 2 i can think of off the top of my head. Yeah, for me it really ended in season 8. Everything was perfect. I hope eventually they get off this crap and they move back to the Gould and have the Rath taken over by the Gould creating a supergould. Imagine a Rath with the knowledge of all the Gould in him.
PS You guys won't watch Blueray DVD's on your Playstation 3. Remember how bad the sound sucked on the PS2.

- sdbryan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Can't imagine two competing higher quality media standards both failing? Ever heard of SACD and DVDAudio? Neither have most other people. Both are higher quality (than CD audio) audio media formats that are more concerned with locking down content so that it can never enter public domain rather than customer convenience and service. They have both been failing miserably in the market for several years. It wouldn't surprise me if the DRM crippled new video standards both manage to fail simultaneously.

I for one will continue to stick with my 500 plus DVD collection and watch them over and over if necessary. Only we the consumer have the ability to stop this. Sure, larger media would be nice, but think, do you really need it?
