- nightmyst999, on 06/30/2009, -2/+55I like Stan's cameos, I just wish the headline hadn't spoiled it for this movie.
- nicofopolous, on 06/30/2009, -1/+40I enjoy the random ways in which they work Stan Lee into the Marvel movies. No one is an image as iconic to Marvel as The Man.
- davincih, on 06/29/2009, -0/+25I think Favreau's just having fun with it. Remember in the first Iron Man, Stan Lee played Hugh Hefner.
- JamesBondQ, on 06/29/2009, -3/+28Did the real Larry King want too much money or something?
- Cpt0bvius, on 06/30/2009, -1/+15STFU, Its ***** Stan Lee. Have some respect.
- petethepanda, on 06/30/2009, -0/+9Thanks, didn't want a nice little surprise anyway
- Inflammo, on 06/30/2009, -1/+10The real Larry King knows nothing of these "motion pictures" you speak of.
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -0/+8thanks for ruining it.
- Ford_Prefect2nd, on 06/30/2009, -0/+8No, Stan Lee is just inserted into all the films. Plus, he is way cooler then King.
- Certain, on 06/30/2009, -1/+7Isn't Stan a little too young to play Larry King?
Ohhh I kid. I kid. I love Larry. :) - inactive, on 06/29/2009, -0/+6ok
- bnorman, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5Spoiler?
- kevro, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5I was under the impression he was playing him self but was mistaken for Hugh from behind. Don't forget him and Mick Jagger had a running contest (for women) and last time he check, he was way ahead.
- dafragsta, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5Holy *****! Stan Lee!
The name amongst names.
Signing comics in MY MALL!
How did this get by me? - edwartica, on 06/30/2009, -2/+7It sure is interesting how in the Marvel movie universe there's so many people that look like Stan Lee!
- felman87, on 06/30/2009, -1/+5That was awesome. I squealed in the theater and no one knew why. Probably though I was some perverted gay necrophiliac.
- bicyclethief, on 06/30/2009, -0/+4I don't think Stan Lee has that kind of acting range.
- Ford_Prefect2nd, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3...Why? Tarintino is in his films, lots of people do cameos, they are amusing. Its like trying to find that little cat thing in each episode of She-Ra...not that I watched She-Ra... I mean.... come on, that's a girls show. Dam.
- xyllar, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3I suspect it's all a plot created by the Jackal.
- ClevelandBrown, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3Exactly, way to spoil the surprise, even if it is a minor one.
- elitedw, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3ah I finally get to see stan lee without a mustache.
- Apocalyptic0n3, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3He has never tried to act. Thinking back through all of his cameos, I only remember two where he did more than just grunt. In Rise of the Silver Surfer he was throwing a mini fit. And in The Incredible Hulk he had a line or two. But that's it. It's just random appearances. "Oh hey Hef" or him just standing there in shock holding a hose. His cameos are harmless and are as much a part of Marvel as Slusho is a a part of anything Abrams does.
- SirBruce, on 06/30/2009, -1/+4So Larry King and Hugh Hefner are the same person?
- scottcxv, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3how about you act every roll that stan lee acted... he probably wants to have his stamp on the movies a little more pronounced and good for him not letting people transform the comic books he created into pure gibberish but into what he wants them to be
- Archfiend, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2I think everyone missed the battle of the e-peens in the comments on the site when writers from Collider and NukeTheFridge battled it out over who got what first and rage over the need to put NukeTheFridge as the source of the story. I mean, there were classics like:
"BTW- This gives the right to every website to RIP OFF any story from here!"
and
"You guys have hit a new low by taking stories from other people."
All I need is the popcorn! - PixelMagic, on 06/30/2009, -1/+3Cool story, bro.
- monorailmedic, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2that title sounds like a strange mad-lib
- deff, on 06/30/2009, -1/+3Dude, seriously... What the *****?
- geniusNOTatWORK, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2You better be so lucky that I forget about this when I watch Iron Man 2 because if I don't...
- carlosauresrex, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1sweet.
- Tddupre, on 06/30/2009, -1/+2Well since you're such an awesome director/writer/actor/etc why don't you make something we have never seen before using brand new technology that you invented and do it under 3 years.
- caseclosed326, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Seriously a digg headline spoiler. Weak as hell.
- fuzed, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Now all they need is Todd McFarlane to play Hugh Hefner...
- absolutzombie, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1so, the thing, is his dork made of rock too?
- piggyphish, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1I expect to see Stan Lee do the international symbol for Larry King.
- Apocrypha, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Ugh, stop with the Stan cameos already. Why not just get the _real_ Larry King? It would be more acceptable if the Stan cameo was in the background and not the foreground. That way we can make a game of it...Like "Where's Waldo".
- spriggig, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Shouldn't they be moving along to the Avengers movie instead of making a second Iron Man? Not that I won't be happy to see a second Iron Man.
- nepidae, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1uh im not an actor, which is why I don't act. how about you come and do my job? or a doctors job? or some other random job that you are bad at do to complete lack of experience?
Look stan lee is bad ass, but that doesn't mean he should attempt to do something he sucks at. in fact its an argument that he _should not_ do something he sucks at. At least he should take some acting classes if he wants more than a cameo. - augcast, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1When did Marvel (X-Men Wolverine, Spider-Man) stop being edgy and only "family" oriented, and DC become the Big Boys (Dark Knight, and maybe Green Lantern) - I'm tired of seeing Stan Lee cameo's just make better movies!!!
- Coffeedemon, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Yeah they'd be better if they were more like Hitchcock's cameos... more subtle than having Stan Lee generally front and centre at some point in every Marvel movie.
- Yomoska, on 06/30/2009, -1/+1nuff said
- Axtell2k5, on 06/30/2009, -2/+2I'm so sick of the Stan Lee cameos. The first couple, cool, neat...now, they're boring, contrived and always bad. Larry King? Why not just get Larry ***** King?
- augcast, on 06/30/2009, -1/+1True but Tarintino films are good, I barely like 30% of Marvel's movie adaptation - and now with Stan Lee in Iron Man 2 this just translates to another bubblegum teeny-bopper movie from Marvel now.
- faizal5k, on 06/30/2009, -2/+2holy *****, so that WASN'T Hugh Hefner?!
- PixelMagic, on 06/30/2009, -2/+2Larry King is in Ghostbusters. Just watched it yesterday.
- ftc08, on 06/30/2009, -2/+1You and the ***** above you need to lick eachother's disease ridden *****.
- TheTikiTony, on 06/30/2009, -1/+0I can't bring myself to respect the opinion of someone who refers to Stan Lee as a "righter."
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -2/+1No, you have it wrong. As a consumer/movie watcher I have the right to not be happy with the crap that Hollywood is spitting out. It's not my job to make movies better. Hollywood is just trying to make money as fast as possible, and I understand that. Unfortunately for me, that means that the vast majority of current and future movies will be geared towards mouth-breathers who are awed by CGI, explosions, and loud noises. I have no problem with special effects when they enhance a movie. But with movies like Watchmen, Wolverine, Transformers, etc, the FX IS the movie. Acting and writing take a distant back seat to the CGI. I just want a balance. I think the CGI "explosion" started with the SW prequels and has just gotten worse. TV has become basically useless for me because of all of the "Reality" shows and Wrastling. Soon movies will be dead to me as well. RIP Hollywood.
- ousthouse, on 06/30/2009, -4/+2What are you talking about? The real Larry King is in most every movie released in the past 30 years.
- dmcaudio, on 06/30/2009, -9/+7I get it. He invented half of the comic universe. ENOUGH WITH THE ***** STAN LEE CAMEOS!
