  • devinmurphy, on 12/07/2007, -8/+32If by over the top you mean REALLY ***** BADASS then you're right mate. Hope this ends up better than some of the recent TV to movie transitions, i mean the whole moving backgrounds and crazy colors looks to stay true to the old Japanime style. LOVE IT!

That being said, I had no real interest in this movie until I saw this trailer. Effects look AMAZING, just wish the only references I have of this and the original cartoon weren't parodies....

Seriously, forget watching the trailer in 19 inches, imagine watching this mutha in a ***** 30 foot by 70 foot screen. Holy crap I'm getting motion sick just thinking about it.

Effects arn't always about trying to make somthing fictional look real, sometimes they can be used to just make something that is exciting to watch. "realistic" or not.

  • Monsterchef, on 12/07/2007, -1/+8Who the hell cars how the movie is. I am 41 years old and those of you that are around my age will remember one thing! Coming home from school and watching the episodes of Speed Racer. I have seen every show numerous times but it was my life when I was under 10 years old. I simply loved it and still do, but have not seen an episode in 20 years or so. I don't care if the movie sucks ass, but will go and see it just to be a kid again.
