how could you forget about this movie!? - SLP1111, on 10/12/2007, -3/+24This line is too funny: “It’s been rough. We worked at it for a long time and then found out that Snakes on a Plane was doing the same story.”
Any story with a SoaP reference deserves a digg from me. - dunezone, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23I came home from school everyday and could watch The Simpsons, in the Chicago land area The Simpsons is shown three times a day on Fox, I owe it to these guys for raiseing me.
- MasterGrief, on 10/12/2007, -4/+23Why?
The Simpsons has certainly declined a bit recently, but Family Guy even more so. It's become nothing but shock-humor and popular culture references. In fact, I really dislike Family Guy now, but find I can still watch The Simpsons, at least most of the time. Don't get me wrong, Family Guy was great for a while (the first three seasons were HILARIOUS) but since it resurfaced it just hasn't been the same. As for The Simpsons, it's never really been in a lasting rut. It just has a chain of bad episodes or isolated ones from time to time--A great example being those awful "depressing" ones, like where they expand on Lisa's character and make her face some tragedy or something stupid like that.
I don't think you should be worried about too many people switching from Simpsons to Family Guy anytime soon. - BeaMeR626, on 10/12/2007, -5/+23Spectacular! This movie is going to be amazing.
"Hey, What happened to the color?" - Cerberus047, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19Well from this clip we learn some great things...
1. It wont be one of those family vacation plot movies
2. it will be funny as hell!!! - gosix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Well, it's bound to be better than the Family Guy movie, which was just 3 episodes pieced together. Then to add to the horror, Family Guy made the "movie" its season finale this year. Oh the travesty!
- wespeakurname, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16I wouldn't say Futurama was better, but it was great in it's own right. I have all 4 seasons on DVD and watch them fairly regularly as there's not much great on TV these days.
- someguyinajar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14I agree. Just about all of the new episodes are "Homer and Marge fight" stories:
Homer does something that angers Marge
Marge and Homer argue ("this is the worst thing you've ever done")
Homer tries to get her back
Some divorce jokes
Homer gets advice
Homer does something crazy/stupid
Homer and Marge get back together
If they stopped making so many of this type of episode, the show would improve so much. - Lemon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11They only created 4 actual seasons and Fox split em into 5 for TV.
I hope you don't call yourself a fan... - W00DR0W, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Actually when I go back and watch the old episodes, the Simpsons is still funny, maybe it's not the Simpsons that is tired and cliche but the writers who are.
If they get some good people back on the writing staff like Conan O'Brien, or any of the pre- season 8 writers, this movie could be worth something. But as it stands I'm not excited. - gosix, on 10/12/2007, -6/+15Sorry, no Futurama till 2008. Hold your horses.
- Computer_Kid, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Remeber that guy that camped out for weeks to be the first to see the third/sixth starwars movie? I have a feeling there are going to be thousands like him for this one, including myself. :-)
- aplardi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10As far as those commented in the site concerned about rating I'm pretty sure they said they wouldn't pass the PG-13 mark. I'll try to find the article if I can.

- RichPowers, on 10/12/2007, -10/+15Did Matt Groening happen to step over a mock shark as he took the stage?
- wilf_brim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Doh! Site is dugg to death, use the direct YouTube feeds.
Seems like a decent start. I'm just hoping that they can make a movie interesting enough to go, rather than 4 episodes strung end to end. - dawgma, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8I'm happy because those clips were funny!
The show sucks now, I don't watch it. A good Simpsons movie is about all I will watch. As long as the writers leave out all the fleeting pop-culture references they might just have an enduring, lovable movie. - Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Although I probably haven't watched The Simpsons in over five years, I find myself strangely drawn to this movie. It looks like it could actually be good
- MrBabyMan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Here's a great video montage of the whole comic-con experience:

Looks promising.
And anyone that wants to see it, just search 'Simpsons Movie' on youtube and eventually you will come across a working link,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_simpsons - truebullfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Those clips were sort of funny. Grandpa saying he was part of the mobb was good. I just hope they bring back some of the old writers and Matt & James really contribute to the script rather then just being consluants like they have been for the past 7 or 8 seasons when the show started sucking.
- nox4444, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I really have to agree with knives although, the movie does look pretty promising/funny. The simpsons have declined in quality over the past 2 or 3 years. And I absoluetly love the Simpsons but they have been running for 17 going on 18 seasons...
- billybob476, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I hope it's better then the Itchy and Scratchy movie...
- SurlyDuff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well they're getting together most of the writers from over the entire Simpsons run, so I don't think the quality of the recent seasons is very indicative of what the quality of the movie will be...
- kramit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This is going to be a mossive cash cow for fox
- mjredona, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2There is an alternative since the footage on YouTube is down...check this out:
http://comiccon.imeem.com/video/DiDMUtr3/early_footage_from_the_simpsons_movie/ - knil, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2a message to everyone that is on here flaming the simpsons. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT WATCH IT AND KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. Thank you for your time
- Knives, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4@ iskanderbenamor; I fully agree!
- wonderboy, on 10/12/2007, -9/+10Dugg down for telling the truth. I as big a fan as anybody, but the Simpsons are terrible now. The last 5-6 seasons at the least were just awful. I did hear they were getting their old writers back, so maybe that will save the movie.
- Lemon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I think Dave Cohen is on board which can only be a plus.
- oMeSSiaHo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why would Conan be involved? Yes Conan is funny but he really didnt do a whole lot at the Simpsons. He wrote two episodes and nambed Selma's lizard. There are so many other writers who contributed to the show. John Swartswelder wrote the most episodes and had the craziest jokes. David Cohen and Greg Danials are writers who have added to character development.
I was excited when I saw David Silverman was going to be directing. He has always been involved with my favorite episodes. Remember the episode where Homer met his mom? At the end he was staring at the sky at night. Little things like that make him an awesome director. - martinj88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the voices of the Simpson's are on contract to do a 19th season.......and Matt wants to do at least 20 to beat the longest running American TV show.....but the amount of viewers it pulls and merchandise it sells it wont end for a long time
- vuzman, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7Futurama ran for 5 seasons...
- crispyart, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1futurama is the best. i would kill for a futurama movie
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wooo-hooo!
- ericeman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1To anyone who says the simpsons uses the same jokes over and over, I have one comment:
"It's like that time they used the same joke on family guy"
[cue flashback]
Also, anyone know if Conan is involved in any way? - antivirus6613, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1youtube vid is down becuz fox took it out
