Whats wrong with the simple premise of "the machines are trying to terminate the humans". Stick to that. The machines are multiplying and developing and only the smartest and most resourceful humans are left alive. All this stuff about humans working for machines and humans being made into machines is just hokey. I loved the original flash back scenes from the 1984 Terminator movie and what Im seeing here doesnt match that in "coolness". I could be wrong though.
