    The fan made one had clips that were already viewable. This trailer had some of those same clips and even more.

    what else do you expect from a teaser? I'm not saying that this is the best teaser I've ever seen, because, it really isn't, but there some things in it that I liked a lot.

    They show some footage, make people say "wtf?", cue the music, cue the man in tights, OMG SUPERMAN! end.

    It isn't supposed to be great or stunning. IT'S A TEASE! just like that girl in high school. yeah.

    Watch the first movie. It's dialogue lifted straight from the sequence when Smallville Clark Kent is transformed into Superman. The Jesus imagery was intentional. Of course, people weren't as sensitive about it back then as they are now.

  • Stryker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0From what I've seen, it's predominantly tech-oriented, but you can probably submit anything you like, as long is it fits into one of the categories. If people want, they'll digg it. If not, it'll fall off the face of the Earth or something.

    Obviously, most of the comments to your submissions will feature 50 people telling you it's a dupe or it doesn't belong, but they don't really matter as long as people are digging it.

  • jrclements, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah, i saw this trailer tonight during the midnight show for the fourth harry potter flick. it looked ok, but granted it is only a teaser. and as i understand it, its called "superman returns" because it takes place after the events in superman 2 (with the spinning-mirror-prison-thing) and superman has been blamed for the destruction caused by general zod. so clark kent decides the world doesn't want superman around anymore and moves back to smallville to get his head straight...

    that's all i know about it. but i'm guessing something bad happens (maybe brainiac-related?) that causes clark to decide to put on the tights again. hence the "returns" part of the title. i'm looking forward to it coming out next year.

    The first script was laden with these references. In fact, Tom Makeiwicz and Dick Donner got death threats and nasty letters after speaking about those parallels of Superman as a Christ figure.
