...the amoral paparazzo protagonist Dutcher portrays in "Falling" hurls an F-bomb at God in a moment of despair and openly regrets having wasted 12 years of his life in the church. - Skywise, on 08/19/2008, -1/+3L-O-S-E-R.
It's one thing to become a skeptic. It's another to be the "Mormon Filmaker" then, when the pennies dry up, make the "Job" movie as if he's singlehandedly found enlightenment. - barktwiggs, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1He may have left the Mormon church, but he hasn't left Provo Utah. His Main Street Movies office is still near center street and he likes the neighborhood here. I personally don't feel like judging him for leaving the church and wish him well on his spiritual journey.
- b3and1p, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1I am a atheist and my girlfriend is Mormon. I wonder how she would take this story. To me it seems like the guy is just doing it to sell his new movie. I have seen one of these Mormon movies, they aren't too bad. Though I do recommend you have a Mormon with you to explain some of the more "in" jokes :)
BTW I am thinking of writing a article or something about the experience of being an atheist my whole life and falling in love with a Mormon... interesting for sure :) - merlin484, on 08/19/2008, -2/+1Hail xenu!.. oh wait wrong misguided religion..
- inactive, on 08/19/2008, -6/+2Mormon's really area a disease, well the religion is. I was unfortunate enough to live in Utah for a few years. The "hardcore" mormons, or LDS, are scary as *****. Though many only belong to the faith for political reasons.
