- bIuebonics, on 10/12/2007, -5/+353and the sad part? if you covered up the *****, the decapitated person wouldn't be a problem.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+149She gives good head.
- swOhio, on 10/12/2007, -34/+146Just a heads up, NSFW
Yeah I can't imagine people not getting pissed off about a movie poster with a tit shot on it. And by people I mean the whole christian/conservatives group. - Niten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+92Maybe I'm just not in with the times, but I wouldn't call this "sexy" – girls with a severed head in their hands were always a major turn-off for me...
- SJKat, on 10/12/2007, -21/+98Yeah, beheadings of American soldiers by Iraq freedom-fighters should be aired right after Pokemon on saturday afternoons.
But seriously: Hostel was *****. This is probably *****. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+76I've heard a rumor on the internets that this is freaking CRAZY.
- typo180, on 10/12/2007, -10/+72I wouldn't even blame conservatives for this one - it's a bit much. I'm normally not a fan of much censorship, but I wouldn't mind not seeing this one at a bus stop. Besides the fact that the majority of American society isn't fond of full frontal (er, sidal) nudity displayed in public, the violence will never fly. Decapitation is a pretty disturbing image (Yeah, we have statues of Catholic saints who are holding their own heads, but the context and message are different, so it the detail). And it's kinda of a big deal to so clearly connect women's sexuality and violence.
Sorry, but if you thought think this is gonna fly in America, you may be a bit out of touch.
Or maybe you're just trying to be shocking so that more people hear about your bad movie... - chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -10/+69god they're making a sequel? who is financing this *****?
- pirana0, on 10/12/2007, -2/+50Welcome to the internets.
- xsecretfiles, on 10/12/2007, -8/+56I saw a boobie
- sobe86, on 10/12/2007, -4/+40The only thing that is freaking CRAZY is that they managed to get a sequel comissioned after the terrible first film.
- Smills, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31Heh, Americans and their problems with boobs. Here in Aussie we get boobs displayed on the news and no-one complains. Not even the women. I swear, political correctness gone mad, I would be more worried about the severed head and how children perceive that...
- Smills, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30Better view here: http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/9767/hostel2newbd6.jpg
- krinthekuz, on 09/16/2008, -2/+29hurray for viral marketing. this kind of post on digg and blogs is the exact goal of them making that poster. otherwise they'd just be wasting their money. they KNOW for a FACT that a tit shot is going to be denied.
marked as lame, because you shouldn't be so weak to marketing. - Beaver6813, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27Says you with Verbatim in l33t speak.
- thewebguy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27OMG POSTER WITH BOOBZ 2 B DENIED
is anyone surprised? - bightchee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21Nipples do not absolutely equate to being sexual. Especially when there's a decapitated head in their vicinity.
- MuTeD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18Has anyone been to one of your parties?
- alevel27mage, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20@ crass22
Really? Hostel is the best? Not Se7en, or even The Descent? Sorry, I know that after 1980 horror movies went down the drain, but Hostel is definitely not "the only good horror flick that's been released in decades." - dreamworks, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17This poster was a limited edition for the New York Comic Con. I don't think it's meant for mass consumption, or the MPAA's approval in the first place. Also, Hostel was terrible.
- drlha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Sideboob? The whole point of sideboobs is that they show as much of the breast as possible without showing any nipple so it woud be allowed on TV (at least, back in the 80-90s). This poster can hardly be accused of "not showing the nipple" can it?
- vagarach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12What??? You went with your grandmother to watch HOSTEL????
Madness. - Kookami, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12The words 'Quentin Tarantino presents' in the top left corner of the poster would say yes. Quite a few films have this 'Quentin Tarantino presents' added to them, such as Hero, it's not so much an involvement in the film's production, but Tarantino using his director fame to give publicity to smaller and foreign films and give them a chance in the US market.
That said, this time around he's also one of the producers, so does have a fairly solid involvement with the film. - TruthElixirX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12No one has ever come back from one of his parties.
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15So, as long as there's no nipple, you can show a severed head on a poster..? Seems like the priorities are arranged somewhat oddly..
- superdigg, on 10/12/2007, -7/+19you must be freaking CRAZY!
I'm sorry, it's really not a very funny comment meme :( anyway, forget about the dead head and the sideboobs are quite delightful! - obrysii, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13How is this "sexy"?
- an0nymous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Erm... I don't reckon that's porn
I should know. - BZKyle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Wait, someone had to tell us It'd be banned...?
- Kevinb1577, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8yeah, im an old fashoned guy as well
- Ellsass, on 11/05/2008, -1/+9*would have been
- jkrzok, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Is no one concerned that she looks cold? Give that girl a sweater!
- scabbers, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9If you're a fan of inaccurate spam, go ahead and digg.
- MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -7/+14Is this 'freaking CRAZY' thing a new trend? If so, I want freaking CRAZY in on it.. wait no.. that doesn't work. Well, I guess I ruined it.
- TheFlush, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Geez....it's just a boob people. What's all this fuzz about? A european shower gel commercial is even more exciting than that.
- arjie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Hmm, black and white. It must be art!
- Beaver6813, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10I think her new look is very elegant, the posture is very good and her general complexion is beautiful.
- Slice, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Look at that side boob
Check out this side boob
How bout that side boob?
That turn ya on?
Well it shouldn't!
Thats my side boob. - caseyo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Funny, the same thing occured to me. then I remembered that, as a practicing necrophiliac, I'm supposed to find this type of thing attractive
- zr00cool, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6what did you expect... "oh yess.. we are totally on board with this poster.... "
- TheNik, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8You've never been to one of my parties, then, champ.
- smcavoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Umm... I don't consider decapitated bodies sexy...
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Well, I was in San Francisco a few months ago, and in the subways, there were posters of an art show on the human body, with drawn and photographed pictures of women naked. I live in Texas, and that was surprising...
This might even be allowed to pass. - biff198, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6It's over NINE THOUSAND!!!
- inkswamp, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5> god they're making a sequel? who is financing this *****?
No kidding! Meanwhile, the possibility of getting a sequel to Serenity is a million miles away. I guess they have to cater to what people are interested in watching, but sometimes it seems like we live in Bizarro World where uninspired movies playing down to the lowest common denominator get treated like gold and quality work all too frequently gets relegated to the gutter.
Just proves that old H. L. Mencken quote: "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public." - uberdesigner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3the poster should be banned for being retarded. a body holding it's head?
- keyboardduder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Hostel was a waste of time and a horrible movie. It was 40 minutes of porn and then the rest of the movie was a predictible collaberation of ***** acting and it was a shame that they put quentin tarintino's name on it. What a ***** movie. Nothing but shock effect. When people hype up movies like this it really reminds me of how talentless and de sensitized hollywood has become. Go down the hole like M night Shamalan, Eli Roth
- biff198, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4... I pwn't, I left...
- docillenstein, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3And people complain that *trailers* give away the entire movie...
- Scoresheet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The problem with this poster, if it was ever intended for theatrical distribution is three fold: one it shows a woman's breasts, which agree or disagree, is not suitable for public display. secondly, it shows a severed head, again not suitable for public display. thirdly, it's advertising a sequel to Hostel, which has to be one of the most ridiculously stupid films that have ever been made. I hesitate to call it a film, since the plot seems like little more than an excuse to string more and more graphic scenes of torture together.
It's not scary, and there is no skill on show (aside form the special effects department, and the ability to stick a camera on the ground and film and record sound in synch) It literally is just pornography.
Best Horror film in the last decade? It's not even the best Horror film released that week. -
