"This car is very Uma Thurmanish. Incredibly attractive, but you can't explain why." - rft3rd, on 10/01/2009, -1/+110more important then "Bill" being dead and all is that David Carradine is also dead.
- norwegianlegion, on 10/01/2009, -2/+108Erm, I'm pretty sure Bill died in the last one. Is he coming back as a zombie?
- danwallace, on 10/01/2009, -2/+92Kill Bill gets a bad rap because of how huge it was. They were damn fine movies. Tarantino has yet to do anything that let me down.
- pocketjacks, on 10/01/2009, -1/+72I read somewhere that they filmed a bunch of footage for the third film during initial filming. They had an idea that possibly Vernita Green's daughter would come back to get her revenge on The Bride...
- FXPooky, on 10/01/2009, -4/+59I like how nobody has the same opinion :D Let's just all agree that Tarantino's movies are awesome!
- sindex, on 10/01/2009, -0/+53The story I heard was he shot extra footage of Vernita Green's daughter during Kill Bill 1 & 2 (the little girl from the "When you're all grown up, if you're still sore, I'll be waiting for you" speech in the kitchen), with plans to always make a Kill Bill 3. Or, what was thought at the time to be a Kill Bill 2, since he thought Kill Bill would be a single film up until the time he was editing together a 5 hour movie.
It was all rumor of course, but this does sort of sound like the kind of thing Tatantino would do. - kiantech, on 10/01/2009, -19/+68Inglourious Basterds was not better than Pulp Fiction
- JeffRyemon, on 10/01/2009, -37/+82Pulp Fiction > Reservoir Dogs > Kill Bill 1 & 2 > Inglorious Basterds > Jackie Brown > Death Proof
- Greg2k, on 10/01/2009, -0/+38I'm surprised you're the first person to mention him.
- Zpanzer, on 10/01/2009, -0/+36Cool story bro
- Hetman, on 10/01/2009, -14/+50Two reasons. One, I think me and Uma needed a ten year break…. And the second one, I loved the character a lot. I think she deserved ten years to relax. She deserved ten years of no fighting, she deserved ten years with her child Bebe, just of peace. I put her through a lot those first two movies, I want her to have a nice, peaceful life for ten years. I want her to set up her store, and have some peace. But after ten years we’ll make her fight again.”
Allright Kill Bill is one of my favorit movies. Tarantino is awesome. However it is like WTF your first point is sound. You have worked to much with uma thurman. Your second is just crazy. You do not literally have to wait another 10 years to make a movie. Just start the movie off like this. '10 years after the death of Bill." - Ryanissosuper, on 10/01/2009, -4/+39Umm.. Death proof was the best example of a "Grindhouse" movie. It was fun to watch, had funny dialog and one of the best car chase scenes in the past decade. So I disagree with you, Mr. Agamemnon.
- tomjm5000, on 10/01/2009, -0/+26Or maybe a new Bill!
BIll Clinton's just the type of womanizer to get himself on the wrong side of a band of female assassins. - Balath, on 10/01/2009, -0/+26Oh, man, I smell something epic called "Army of Darkness."
- DimensionalPunk, on 10/01/2009, -0/+26That was the first thing that came to mind when I read that he's making Vol. 3. Maybe Elle (blind now) could train the girl so that they can both get revenge.
- marmotjmarmot, on 10/01/2009, -0/+25 Quentin Tarantino! You and I have unfinished business!
- Hetman, on 10/01/2009, -0/+25That is what I was thinking when I watched the movie also. Also beatrices child is the same age as her. There is plenty of room for revenge left in the kill bill universe.
- Jericho6, on 10/01/2009, -3/+27What's a nubian?
- rft3rd, on 10/01/2009, -3/+25buried for kanye meme fail.
- hakkola, on 10/01/2009, -5/+27That doesn't mean it didn't suck.
- TrevorBelmont, on 10/01/2009, -8/+29Death Proof is eleven hours of girls talking about girly stuff and a car crash.
- damnshoes, on 10/01/2009, -0/+20maybe the snake in the trailer is going to help her too.
- Rapter09, on 10/01/2009, -4/+24That's because it's not the real reason.
Even Tarantino is not immune to either a) dollar signs b) trying to beat a (peacefully) dead horse. - DiggieDarko, on 10/01/2009, -22/+41I'd rather see something new. Inglorious Basterds was brilliant, much more so than Kill Bill.
- jeriqo, on 10/01/2009, -0/+18I think it's safe to say spot #1 is either for Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs
- fadetoone, on 10/01/2009, -1/+18It's not like it's unexpected news. He announced soon after Vol. 2 that he'd be waiting about 10 years for Vol. 3 which would likely revolve around Black Mamba's kid coming after her for revenge.
/edit oops someone already mentioned just below... - Jericho6, on 10/01/2009, -0/+16Is this like that Vega Brothers movie?
- Rutledge14, on 10/01/2009, -0/+14It's because the first girl that she killed in the first movie.. remember? If you wanna come get me when you're all growed up I'll be waiting.
- leetninja, on 10/01/2009, -1/+15I have had it with these ***** snakes on this ***** plane!
Oh. Sorry. Wrong movie. OR IS IT?! - drtitanium0, on 10/01/2009, -6/+19I think most people don't understand Death Proof. Death Proof is not a movie that Tarantino made to please his fans or make money. Death Proof is an homage to the grindhouse movies he watched growing up. He wanted to prove to himself that a movie of that variety could still be made in today's hollywood system.
- baddigga, on 10/02/2009, -0/+9*Vernita Green/Copperhead not Black Mamba/The Bride (Uma Thurman)
- StuartGibson, on 10/01/2009, -0/+9Bill's dead, baby. Bill's dead.
- NoManIsPudding, on 10/02/2009, -0/+8Respect to Uma Thurman.. but I really hope we don't get another close up of her feet. Thanks Q&U!
- sumgi, on 10/02/2009, -0/+7Yeah, Vernita Green's kid has to grow and have a fight with BeBe!!
- Gosunkugi, on 10/01/2009, -0/+7There's also the Yuki Yubari subplot he cut because Kou Shibasaki, the actress who was going to portray her, had to cancel, so he can easily work that in either using Shibasaki or if he wanted to use Chiaki Kuriyama again just play the twins card and give her another part. So that gives two possible opponents for the Bride immediately on top of the deliberately vague ending he gave Elle Driver.
- cruzlee, on 10/01/2009, -9/+16I loved the ***** out of Death Proof. Sorry.
- danwallace, on 10/02/2009, -0/+7Actually I loved Death Proof. Quentin Tarantino is a dialogue master, and that movie was very self-indulgent in that regard, but I'm a huge fan of that aspect of his films so I loved it. I think it stands much stronger on its own than when it's tied to Planet Terror. Not to say Planet Terror was the better film. It's just hard to lower the pulse enough to really enjoy Death Proof after the adrenaline rush that was Planet Terror.
- NoManIsPudding, on 10/02/2009, -0/+7..in more than one way
- cntlscrut, on 10/01/2009, -1/+7so, i guess it'll be about seven years before we even get a sneak peak or anything hinting at pre-production.
- inferno10, on 10/02/2009, -1/+7But Zombie Bill is undead...
- Infinitas, on 10/02/2009, -0/+6Actually the "...in the world" is a top gear joke. Clarkson was making fun of himself in one episode about saying it too much.
- muzza001, on 10/02/2009, -0/+6I thought Jackie Brown was better than a lot of people reckon. It had some fantastic monologues and conversations.
- diggzine, on 10/02/2009, -0/+6So the title should be "Killed Bill"
or Killed Bill:Rise of the Fallen
lol >:) - Rodex123, on 10/01/2009, -1/+7"Basterds" was an amazing movie, I haven't felt that much tension in a film in a while. Kill Bill was enjoyable, but I'd rather him venture into new unrelated projects. I suppose he just wants to put Uma back in that tight leather suit again...
- tdogg241, on 10/01/2009, -10/+15No, he's right. Death Proof is a ***** mess of a film. I get that he was going for grindhouse (that was the theme of it and Planet Terror, after all), but there was just WAY too much unnecessary dialog. Every minute Kurt Russell was on screen was solid gold and the car chase was indeed incredible, but every second of the film outside of that is utter garbage.
- GRVeee2, on 10/01/2009, -1/+6yes
- EddiePotato, on 10/02/2009, -0/+5Reservoir Dogs is mostly awesome for how much it does with so little. There are few actors, only a handful of sets in the whole film, almost no special effects, yet it doesn't feel low budget or minimalist at all because the dialog and character development were done so well. IMO.
- faceless323, on 10/01/2009, -2/+7you shut your whore mouth
- deviationer, on 10/01/2009, -0/+5Where the ***** is The Whole Bloody Affair?
Also how about the full Grindhouse with fake trailers?
Both on blu-ray please -
