- Sedako, on 12/04/2007, -3/+11I'm be happiest if they scrapped the project altogether. We have three games already, each with excellent gameplay a great story supported by nearly flawless voice acting. A movie would result in nothing positive for an already great franchise.
- Berkana, on 12/04/2007, -0/+7If the general public were to know that Persia is Iran, I wonder how the game would fare.
Imagine that. "Prince of Iran". - rpgguy1o1, on 12/04/2007, -0/+5the sands of time trilogy is a modern masterpiece of gaming, and one of the very rare cases where a good franchise can be brought back from the 2d grave and made amazing again.
- TsuruchiBrian, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3I like "Prince of Iran" better
- h4mx0r, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3It's okay, if the wait is killing you, just watch it when it comes out, then turn the sands of time back to now. That way you've 'seen' the movie and technically you didn't have to wait one bit!
- topiKal, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3hear; their.
Why is it that many people who spend hours a day reading articles on Digg still don't understand the basics of the English language...? - Sedako, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3Yes, I know all about the old games and spinoffs of the Sands of Time series. The old games were fun and all, but they lacked the story and depth that made Sands of Time and sequels so great. Just because they were the first games to be made with the name "Prince of Persia" doesn't mean that they're better than the newer 3D ones. In fact, I prefer Sand of Time and sequels, they're far more fun to play and offer a very unique experience.
- actorboy, on 12/04/2007, -0/+2Because they spend even more time reading the comments on Digg.
- amoro99, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1So would he.
- sobe86, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1Well after the amazing job hollywood did recently with Hitman, I am definitely backing this project all the way.
I wish there was like a sarcasm font or something, I feel really lame writing [/sarcasm] at the end of things... - rpgguy1o1, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1I frankly hope they get the guy that plays Suresh from heroes to play the prince. I realize he's Indian, but it would still work really well, the voice and appearance are pretty uncanny
- ertz, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1sweet!, i didn't know this movie was even planned... :P
- a3r0, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1How can someone even fail at spamming?
- counterplex, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1They wouldn't catch on unless you pronounce it "Prince of eye-ran" so I think the movie's fine!
- intent, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1They had to hide Excel files in level 11.
- adventchild08, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1I really think assassin's creed would translate better than any other ubisoft game (in close second would be splinter cell)
- HCJfilms, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1We need a PoP movie like we need ***** on our elbows
- invzim, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1It is something like the original, a reinvention of the concept through better technology. Sometimes this fails miserably, other such as with the Prince of Persia... it does not.
The Vizier tries to take control of persia in the sultan's absence. This plot device is revisited in the new franchise, although with some drastic changes the mission to save the princess is still there; the gameplay changed dramatically. - topiKal, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1I agree. Aside from the fact that video game movies are nearly always awful, is there any real reason that this game needs a film anyway?
It seems like they would make films that add to the story of a game rather than trying to recap the whole game or series in 90 minutes. But then again, they'd have to think harder for that. Wouldn't want anyone to strain themselves.
Seriously though, are people really dying to see the same story they already experienced except without the interactivity? - MiDri, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1I blame the show "life"!
- kufu91, on 12/04/2007, -1/+1the second one seemed hard because the focus on combat was so out of place in the series
- emodro, on 12/04/2007, -0/+0They are probably busy trying to beat the masterpiece writing of "life"
- lolo2007, on 03/08/2008, -0/+0I frankly hope they get the guy that plays Suresh from heroes to play the prince. I realize he's Indian, but it would still work really well, the voice and appearance are pretty uncanny

http://www.paramegsoft.com/forum/ - rompom7, on 12/04/2007, -1/+1My point is.. It is NOT Prince of Persia, it shouldn't use that title, because it is nothing like the original.
- hawk244, on 12/04/2007, -0/+0there you go : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0932936/
- darkenin13, on 12/04/2007, -2/+2Lets here it for Hollywood, ***** always feel the need to take an already great story, steal the characters and make there own giant ball of *****!
- Anub1s, on 12/04/2007, -1/+1Strange, I never had much of a problem playing the game.
- quarkie, on 12/04/2007, -1/+1I was just mad about the lame gamecube glitch.
What do you mean I can't fight the final boss of the game after playing through the entire thing? - Sedako, on 12/04/2007, -1/+1That's not necessarily a bad thing. Many recent games have been either too easy, too short, or just plain bad. Difficulty adds to the challenge and can give a game more longevity. Just look at the Contra series, which is known for it's sheer difficulty. Overall, the entire series is just great fun.
- h4mx0r, on 12/04/2007, -5/+1The second game was insanely (or at least unreasonably) difficult though.
- antigravit42, on 06/14/2009, -6/+1Christian Bale ftw.
- rompom7, on 12/04/2007, -6/+13 games? There are at least 6 games made for PC, and even more if you count consoles, handhelds and phones.
Prince of Persia and Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame are the only games I consider to be _real_ Prince of Persia. As soon as it went 3D (just like Sonic) it went downhill. - inactive, on 12/04/2007, -8/+2In other news: Anna Nicole is still dead.

What is Digg?
