- shunter99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3THIS MOVIE WILL MAKE OVER $500 MILLION AT THE U.S. BOX OFFICE ALONE!
Might even challenge Titanic's $600 Million (but probably not since DVD business is so established now and so that will cut into repeat viewings in the theater).
The first teaser trailer was terrible. This is better, but still not that great. But trust me, this is one of the BEST movies I have ever seen. The story and the characters are 10 times better than all the other Pixar movies (I hated every Pixar movie except for Dory in Nemo and Boo in Monsters). I couldn't care less about the CGI quality (although I do think it looks good)...but every other aspect of this movie is near perfect: clever (it's a world of cars only...the dialogue is freakin' clever beyond your imagination), funny, pulls at your heart strings, is inspirational, great messages, etc., etc., etc.
Hopefully they'll make a trailer that shows that. But even if they don't, the word of mouth on this film will be huge...EVERYONE will recommend it to ALL their friends.
This is definitely not a "crap film to end the contract." This is directed by John Lasseter who is the creative co-founder of Pixar. He's not going to crap out a movie for business reasons. - HalBSure, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Dammit, don't leave us in suspense!
- dbldn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Chris thanks for stealing my words.

That probably has to do with the fact that its a computer generated film.. - born, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow. That completely chnaged my opinion of the entire movie. Now it looks Pixar-quality. Seriously, I thought that Cars would be terrible. But now it looks better than that.
- mwong, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i... what?
- jo42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Apple. What a bunch of 'tards. I don't have Quicktime on my machine. So I went to download it. Download page will only let me DL Quicktime with iTunes. Idiots. I don't want iTunes on my machine. Knobs.
- lilricky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This movie has been put on the back burner/delayed so many times, I dont think its ever really going to be released.
- msgmsg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i am going to want to see this movie because i
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm not feeling this film so far. They even went back and reworked the movie after some intial complaints I heard. It just seems like Pixar is trying to get the last movie out of the way since they are no longer bound to Disney. Musicians do the same, make crappy albums to complete a contract and then leave that production company. Didn't Aerosmith or somebody record a horrible song to finish a contract?
- heinousjay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1ARRRRRRR pirate gold, matey

This could be what you are looking for.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this trailer came out like a year ago?
- landincoldfire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't know, while I'm not giddy to see this movie. It still will be entertaining to watch.
- rooster1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0anything pixar makes is GOLD, cant wait to pirate this movie
- crosswick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The guys at pixar are masters of allegory, using CGI as their pimped-out creative toolset.
After toys, bugs, fish, monsters and superheroes, the car is the next logical metaphor to go to. Our love of, and identification with cars I think might proove to be a very potent platform for good storytelling.
Because however cynical one might get about American culture nowadays (I'm Dutch), there is always a movie like Finding Nemo that illustrates what kind of magic can happen if good people come together with good tools.
Who wouldn't want to work at Pixar? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^ LMAO

Wow, that's a lot of critcism for 2 diffrent 30 second productions. I never understand how anyone can get all worked up about trailers. They are rarely good indications of what the movie will be like. Producers can make them say whatever they want. Show the car crash scenes from a sappy romantic comedy, put from driving rock behind it and it appeals to men. Show the guy get the girl at the end of a car chase movie, put a sweeping string score under that and it appeals to women.
The first Cars trailer was the folksy funny one, this was the hip one, the next one will appeal to the kids. It's all a game. - Agent_M, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm still not sold on the story, but I am salivating over the CGI. I will see this regardless of media buzz just because it's Pixar.
I just wish it had something new to offer, like Nemo had the bright colours and adorable (read: kid friendly) fish, the Incredibles had an all-human cast, etc. This film's "new idea" is the absence of humans... Not all that exciting to me. This is like A Bug's Life in terms of originality. - generalleoff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love that they have a VW Bus that's clearly a Hippie/Liberal/Democrat and an Army Jeep that's a Conservative/Republican. Those 2 characters alone are proly going to be worth seeing the movie for.
- Bluezdood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This movie looks like fun, totally going (with a date? anyone anyone, HEY HEY NO MEN!)
- jefferson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i still wanna know why the first comment poster wants to see this movie!
and to all the wanna be movie critics that are hammering a film after watching a total of what 45 seconds, shut up - Bromskloss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"HD clips look awesome"
My computer is to tired to play even the smallest of the HD-versions. :-( - green1152, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm looking forward to seeing this movie.
- kard32, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's by the same guy who directed Toy Story 1 and 2. It's almost impossible for this to suck.
- kaz928, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree with diggthiscrap, I haven't kept up with the whole Disney/Pixar thing so I don't know what the current status is, but this does look like a "let's just get out of the contract" movie.
- shiftless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Judging by the amount of NASCAR fans out there (2nd most popular sport! wha?)... this movie will get tons of cash
- clumsyninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0NM, had to upgrade Quicktime. Sorry. :P
- robotplague, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The first trailer I was really dissapointed with...looks like an improvement. But still I'm not excited for the movie.
- osrevad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Jacbo, that is the crappy teaser trailer that's more than a year old.
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow. Looks pretty good. The only Pixar film that have sorta dissapointed me was Monsters Inc.
- toe_head2001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That been around for a like a year
- scalz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"It just seems like Pixar is trying to get the last movie out of the way since they are no longer bound to Disney."
If anyone thinks that anything Steve Jobs is remotely connected to (he OWNS the company) could be rushed or forced, they surely don't know about ANYTHING he has accomplished with Apple or Pixar. True, I have the old teaser that says "November 2005" and I don't know any of the inside scoop that has delayed the release to "June 9" - but who cares. This thing looks freakin' awesome! - ToeCheese, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0After seeing the first trailer I thought this movie was going to suck but I remembered that I thought the same thing about "Finding Nemo". In fact if it wasn't because of my Neice I would have not gone to the theater to see it. This second trailer was alot better!
- LittleOni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It looks pretty, but meh. It's basically about Nascar (the amazing sport of the right-turn challenged), so it doesn't really do much for me.
- shad0w, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Um, WTF?
- dixonr315, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am actually pretty excited now about this movie, more so than the first trailer, it looks so polished and I am sure the story will be fun like all Pixar movies. w00t
- nanboya, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They've definitely upped the graphics quality and detail compared to the first trailer that was released; I'm looking forward to seeing it despite it being Nascar-based... 101433
- Greenline, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I hate how you can totally notice the CG"
Um it is talking Cars, how is it supposed to look? - sawyerwolf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am going to see it because it is Pixar. They haven done a bad movie yet.
- clumsyninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0HD version of trailer is awsome!
- *narf*, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0anyone got direct links for these trailers?
quicktime web stuff isn't linux friendly - Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Regarding that this is a "final Pixar-Disney film to get the contract out of the way..."
Disney and Pixar are back on good terms again. Once Michael Eisner left, they worked things out. You guys must not have been keeping up. - jacbo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For linux ppl everywhere, mplayer friendly too.

40MB direct link
I can't find a direct link for a HD version though. - Half-Fast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Richard Petty as a Plymouth Superbird and Larry the Cable Guy as a tow truck. Somebody at Pixar nailed those. Paul Newman, DW, and The Tappet Brothers, too. Can't wait for this one.
- Ravenlock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Toy Story was great. Toy Story 2 was also great. Bugs Life was very entertaining. Monsters, Inc wasn't half bad. Finding Nemo was a little fluffy, but very cute. And The Incredibles was one of the best films made in ANY genre in the last several years.
As far as I'm concerned, they've earned themselves some leeway. I'm excited to see where they go with this. - ElHefe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yet another reason why Disney needs Pixar a lot more than Pixar needs Disney.
- jasdev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice. its pixar. the chicken little and madagascar sucked horribly. actually there were one-off time killers but im just being mean to convey a point. speaking of which i think im gona rewatch the incredibles
