- NomenNescio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18I got a jar of dirt!
- joehobbes, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Ask a Ninja words it so well:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBly9_mci90&search=ask%20a%20ninja%20pirates - nimski, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I saw it and to be honest it was rather poor in relation to the original.
Some points...
- Every plot line was completely unresolved at the end. And it didn't even say "to be continued"?!?!
- Several reused action gimmicks, how many 'heavy rolling thing scenes' do we really need?
- Jack showed no character growth and lacked the, as shallow as it may be, depth that made him likable in the first film. Same pretty much goes for all existing characters. - JoyceakaBromley, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7I didn't think it was as good s the original but that would take a lot to better. Having said that I still enjoyed it and look forward to No 3
- BarriedaleNick, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9You people need to get a life - I you like a movie fine, just dont go around spouting positive views so you feel superior.
ps I hated it, terrible movie - Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Oh my god, Acura666
I bet you look exactly how you talk: a typical Myspacer with a tribal/asian character tattoo that drives some POS ricer with some sparkle paint job.
Or maybe you're just some 16 year old who wishes he was like that. You guys crack me up. - gcube9x, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The second movie was intended solely to increase suspense for the third film, thus drawing even more ticket sales when it is released.
LOLSPOILERS!
sevilworraps - dallen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This movie seemed like a 2 hour ad for the 3rd movie to me. Nothing was resolved you're just expected to have to go another movie to find out what happens. I'm sorry, it pissed me off when the Matrix did it and it still does. Serials are fine, but you have to resolve something in each film
- chrismcelligott, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8And I still haven't seen it...
- Namco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Awesome! Now Disney can use that 300 million to lobby congressmen to extend copywrite to 180 years!
- sjake, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4movie was entertaining, not Genius but entertaining, worth my 10$
- eliasg, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I'm happy for them. I think the movies are really good, and I think Depp has done an amazing job so far on the first two movies. It's better than a lot of the other crap that's been coming out of Hollywood lately. I'm sure the people behind Superman must be pissed.
- Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Salt away" means to hoard, save -- as a pirate would do with treasure. And the fact that pirates and seafaring people are called "old salts" makes this an appropriate headline pun.
- wisebob134, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Pirates of the Carribean is alot better than most movies out right now or even for the past couple years

Ask a Ninja review of Pirates 2....the link posted before didn't work... - daone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Can't anyone who goes to the theater nowadays actually have a back bone and think about the film their going to see.
Its bull-crap a film this poorly written is doing so well at the box office while other well written films are bombing. - effexor, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Bah, Aqua-man made more.
- masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7This'd be more exciting if it didn't suck so much.
- Dred, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3wow it doesn't seem that piracy is hurting the movie industry as much as the MPAA says.
- vern01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I liked it, my wife did too. We DONT go to the movies to think. Its simple, fun escapism, nothing more. Yes we will go see #3.
- Distroia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Where's the thump-thump?
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Ironic that "Pirates" is helping the movie industry, doesn't it?
Maybe now they'll realize once GOOD movies are released people won't pirate the crappy ones that they refuse to pay $10 to see in the theater. - mc7winkie, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I hated the 2nd one so much simply for the fact that I spent $7.00 to see a 2 hour 45 minute lead up to the 3rd one. The plot was simple yet overly complex, mainly involving many characters needing one item/piece of information and them all working against eachother to get it for their own "unique" purpose. That being said I will NOT be seeing the 3rd Pirates movie because I have a penis... and a life.
- DeathonWheels, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I find it funny that people refer to this movie simply as 'Pirates' when that also happens to be the name of that hugely successful pirate pr0n movie.
- cma3, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I'm boycotting part 3 solely based on the crappiness of part 2. This movie was so bad.
- lucaskiker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Did no one else but me notice the title?
'Pirates' salts away $321.7M over 17 days.
Salts away? - EvolvedAnt, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Yarr!
- ParmMann, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I didn't think it was half as good as Superman Returns, but it seems to be making double the money.
- PSPDS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0thas crazy awesome. still lets you know that disney actually can still crank out a hit
- PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1blah blah blah
ps clerks ii rules all - tanxadillo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1There wasn't even a dead man in it!
- zaph47, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0This digg has a few pics on the set of Pirates 3
http://digg.com/movies/Tons_of_Exclusive_Set_Pics_from_Pirates_of_the_Caribbean_3 - drinkmilk15, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0umm....pretty much everyone on davy jones' crew was dead....thats the point...
- sakuraz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1so I guess you haven't watched the Matrix Reloaded?
I think you would've suicided with that kind of reaction to the pirates. - damos83, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5you people need to get a life, if you dont like the movie fine, just dont go around spouting negative views so you feel superior.
ps i liked it, awesome movie - w1zard, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0ay.. i got my jar of dirt too.. and i really liked the movie..
- hibern8, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3Too bad the movie was so bad. If you want a good review ... watch Ask A Ninja's review. I would say his review is better than the movie.
- nimski, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Nevermind... had a long list in my previous post. Digg edit timer lost it all. Blarf...
- MrSprout, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Good for them :)
- Acura666, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1It was the best movies Ev-aaa, if you disagree than you are a moron! If you take the time to write about how much you think the movie lacks in story telling then you obviously have no life and enjoy wasting time on things you don’t like. You’re all a bunch of over analyzing h8ers, get a life, and just enjoy the movie for what it is…
- tmahmood, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I liked the movie it was so funny
