- krunk4ever, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1Sorry for comment jacking, but I think the host is blocking Digg referrals. If I copy the link and open on a separate tab, it works.

- klaymen, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5um, this goes to the global fund for women?

Apparently you missed the word "global."

- evand22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Love the concept! I am in at 51.51!
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -0/+38I was thinking about donating so I can put "Movie Producer" on my résumé.
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4you can put "Movie Producer" after you watch some DVDs if you want.
- KibibyteBrain, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Yeah, except producer is not quite the right word. They already have the paintings for the animation done, so really you are more of a patron, as these "producers" can't really have much input on the "shot".
- flwrchld, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Sooo good. Coolest idea for a charity I've ever seen.
- tical2756, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I don't get it
- LumLib, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3I've been following this project for some time now... It really is a clever plan to make a difference. I can only imagine the work putting this together and we should congratulate them on the accomplishment.
Donate at least $1. Help out those in need. Go tell your friends that you're a producer of a film.- juliocrockett, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0And help support The 1 Second Film crew when they hit the Road to Oprah this fall! :-)
They just launched the new site: www.roadtooprah.com

Wow !

this is the future - HarleyHint, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2This makes MySpace seem like a bunch of amateurs. This is a real online comunity focused around a truly inspiring project.
- bigtomrodney, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11eh, MySpace is a bunch of amateurs...
- levining, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2sweeeet! i'm a HollYwOOd FilM PrODucER!!
- zybch, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Well your intelligence seems to indicate otherwise.
Judging by your writing skills you seem FAR to smart to be a H'Wood producer!! - Aloyarc, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0*too
Jackass.
- zybch, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Well your intelligence seems to indicate otherwise.
- erkman27, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The 1 Second Film is an amazing achievement to which Nirvan and everyone involved should be very proud! I certainly am proud to be a part of it and I'm thrilled the new site has finally launched so that IMDB will hopefully give it renewed respect!
- op12, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11For those that don't know, IMDb was listing all of the producers, but then recently removed all of them saying it was too time-consuming for them to enter so many credits for a single film and not get to do the updates on other films, so they've stopped listing producer credits. However, they have suggested they may allow for a bulk update of all producer credits once the film is complete.
- meatspirit, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1nirvan + family, i would like to buy your idea for 10 million bucks. please reconsider!
- fireandwater, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1i like the idea of bringing the world together through art that is sensitive to the ideas and the times of the people who are helping to create it, such as this film that embraces the creative input of all its participants.
- dream11, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3an amazing grassroots approach to film-making. an incredible opportunity to join hands, get connected with others around the world to help raise awareness and funds for worthy non-profits.
- inspecality, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21Am I the only one who has no clue what this is? Can you even view the one second film?
- short_man, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11They will put it into the cinema, the 1 second film will show, and the "main feature" will be the credits. It is a documentary of making the 1 second film, the idea of it etc, the whole time they are playing credits.
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -0/+4Yeah, I believe the 1 second film is a few frames from a bunch of paintings of a woman having an orgasm.
- shil01, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I stopped reading after I read that it was for charity for some womens rights around the world or some *****....women have rights, and if they dont its the culture and something 1M wont fix..lets give to the ***** starving children of india...or some AIDS research...or anything else worth giving a dollar too.
women..start your digging [down] - hunterryan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You can view information on the film at www.1secondfilm.com the digg link had to be taken down for a bit when 20,000 hits from digg caused the new site to crash.
- hunterryan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Congrats Nirvan and all my co producers

- Modizzle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13What the hell is going on?
- Kilroy2004, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Here's what's going on. For just $1 you too can be just one degree from Kevin Bacon:

- dpknc84, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15The one second film is apparently on a one second uptime server. Sounds like a great concept though from what I am reading above.
- ummmmm, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1http://duggmirror.com/movies/One_Second_Film_with_over_7_000_Producers
- SalliSugar, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0Congratulations on your wildly successful landscaping business.
My Goa'uld symbiote sends good wishes too. - anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Ok, so let me get this straight because even after reading through the concept page, I'm still a little confused.
1) You donate a dollar.
2) The whole film is one second long.
3) 90 minutes of credits.
Is that right? Or is it one second contributed by everyone? Or am I missing something?
As great as an idea as it might be to be charitable, I really don't see how this is anything short of, well, boring? No one wants to sit through credits at the best of times, let alone 90 minutes of them.- Spikito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11i dunno, i always stay in the theatre and read all the funny names.
- oneredpaperclip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I think you missed the point you can be a Hollywood producer for a dollar - credited along about 100+ A list celebs! Where else can you produce Films with Kevin Bacon for a dollar?
PS - and it's fun.- juliocrockett, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0and there is a feature-length "making of" documentary which runs alongside the 90 minutes of credits, showing all the celebrity footage, various producers, adventures in fundraising, etc.... to keep the audience engaged until their name comes up. :-)
- chrisrs, on 10/12/2007, -5/+34) Profit!
- Kilroy2004, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2correction:

- cosmothx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't exactly understand what this is. The site went down when i was browsing it.
I did notice Stephen Colbert donated $11 American.
http://www.the1secondfilm.com/producer/1005 - SalliSugar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Will there be a candy counter at the premiere? Oh, I really like candy!
- 4eloBek, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0give 1 dollar to make another hollywood thrash... pointless....
- godfreyfolsom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I think Kiefer should have donated a little more to the webserver fund.
- anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+45Or just tortured it until it revealed the location of the extra bandwidth.
TELL ME WHERE THE BANDWIDTH IS!!! - cclapper, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Definitely. Kiefer is a cheapskate

- diblasio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Second_Film
- undoIT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I think most sites that get to the Digg frontpage don't have an adequate server.
- undoIT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They could've at least customized the unable to connect to database server page, although it is nice to see they are using Drupal :)
- cuoops, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3heh, Scott Shui donated 666
- Radar5, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2i may donate a couple bucks. What an easy way to get producer on a resume, hehe!
- double2, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1***** this for a laugh! when was the last time you saw a charity just for men? this is ***** sexist, and I'm not even joking, this charity seriously offends me. And generally a ***** idea; basically another $1million webpage but less inspired. How the hell did this get on FP, it sucks!
- reiner15, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3180 seconds loading time for a 1 second movie? This ratio sucks.
- mikeydmikey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great idea!!
- hotmexican, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my boyfriend will love it.

- skankyBacon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Who says "hotmexican" is a girl?
- MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5You don't have a boyfriend...
- spinemangler, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Pauly Shore that cheap bastard. Just because its says $1 doesn't mean you only have to give a dollar. He's lucky Jack Bauer doesn't know he only gave a buck.
- Kai02, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How much money do you think the project will raise? Any Guesses!
**Anyone excited for the road trip to see Oprah!- darkstar2002c, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Hell no I'm not excited to see Oprah!
- IamTheProfessor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I wish I knew the meaning of $600.23 The only thing I can think of is the numbers look like it spells GOOSE or BOOZE. But what the hell do I know? Anyone have an idea?

- elev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't think even Google knows what it means:

- darkstar2002c, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is an excellent idea!
- DroogInPhoenix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2 I would think Steve Buscemi would donate more then $1 since he got his start in indie films.
- helenalbo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is such a great web.2.0 idea, I really love and who knows I might even get into the film business
- boatboy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Just so people are aware, this is a fund raiser for 'Global Fund for Women', which supports the killing of unborn women.
- VANOS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3From their website ( http://www.globalfundforwomen.org/cms/content/blogcategory/88/199/ ):
