      P.S. ESB (Ep. 5) is still the best of all 6 movies

      While looking at that Star Wars poster, also on one of the mirrors they had a showing a series of starship models with an untouched digg button. It's a very cool image of ships from different series shown to scale... Too bad I don't see Serenity in there, but it's still cool nonetheless... I imagine Serenity is probably pretty close in size relation to the Millennium Falcon... at least length wise.

I absolutely hated it the first time I watched it, but then I realized that the only reason I despised it so was Christensen. So I play that little game in my head now when I see it, and I enjoy it so much more!

      It was the first of the three where Ewan McGregor really delivered on the Obi-Wan role; he phoned in the first two.

Episode II should have been the fall of the republic, the love story between Anakin and Padme, and the climax should have been Vader's fall. By the way, Vader's fall should have taken longer and not been so rediculous. I mean come on, did you at all empathize with Vader's fall? Was there moral ambiguity? I am a HUGE fan of the original trilogy, and I have read all (yes ALL) of the expanded universe novels. Recently in those novels a major character has fallen to the dark side, and the way it was presented, over several books, was amazing. At times, I could even imagine myself making the same decisions. Basically, he chooses to embrace a fascist ideal because his arrogance leads him to believe that imposing strict order is the only way to ensure the galaxy is a safe place for his family. By the end of the most recent book he is willing to commit atrocities that would never have occurred to him at the beginning of his fall. They illustrate the SEDUCTIVE power of the dark side. In Ep. III Anakin goes from "I am going to turn over Palpatine for being a Sith Lord" to "I need to kill Sam Jackson and also a bunch of kids to save my family, and then procede to force choke Padme the NEXT TIME I see her" in one seen, after a STARING CONTEST with Palpatine. *****! In fact ***** doesn't sufficiently express the ridiculousness of this transformation. In my ideal trilogy the story told would in the the apocryphal new trilogy would have been told in Eps. I&II, and Ep. III would have been Vader, hunting down Jedi, the final showdown between Vader, and Obi-Wan, and Vader donning the suit. The chief differences would have been that Vader would have been evil at the beginning of III, the transformation would have been believable, and Vader would have killed, on screen, many more Jedi, not just some kids in an off screen bit.

        In conclusion, Ep III was not the worst, but was definitely the most disappointing, and I am a nerd.

Considering Alec Guinness was playing a ghost for the majority of the original trilogy, I think it's reasonable for them to go with Obi Wan as a young man in his prime instead of the old hermit.
      EDIT: If you count the silhouette, then they did double up on both Anakin and Obi Wan, but I don't think that really counts.

    Uhmmmm...NO. Lucas originally planned 9 stories (with the three last being post Return/Revenge of the Jedi)

    And, he has closed "the book" before stating he was done after the FIRST three were made.

    He has recanted all of these things before and reinforced them at other times - the guy blows with the wind but, They'll be three more when he gets the itch again. Probably in about 10 years or so.

It might actually be on the old VHS special edition, which was pretty damn sweet back in the day. There are episodes 7, 8, and 9 which were a part of the original OUTLINE. He has not completely written them but the framework is there for him to build on. I definitely hope he continues to produce them.

As I stated Lucas has contradicted himself on this point - and done so in filmed interviews - more than once. I have seen at least one interview where he states it clearly (and it isn't the one where he says yes, but that the last three got combined into Return of the Jedi.

Now, if he wanted to adapt one of those to the big screen that's another story. But I highly doubt anymore Star Wars movies will be made, at least none written and directed by Lucas.

    I'd suggest releasing it as a dual-monitor wallpaper with a 2nd version with an extended background for widescreen use. That would separate the dark and light side nicely, imo.

Quiggon is also way too big for the small contribution. Heck even Amidala is too big. In my mind Vader/Anakin, Luke, Obiwan, Yoda and the Emperor should be really big. With Vader in the middle, one side light the other side Vader. Great idea but poorly implemented. I could prolly do better.
