- jon3k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+25You could take ANY single frame from that movie, blow it up to poster size, frame it, and hang it on a wall. Absolutely unbelievable cinematography.
I can't wait!!! - edzieba, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18http://images.apple.com/movies/wb/300/300-tlr1_1080p.mov
To avoid apple's crazy quicktime buttons. - EvilDr.X, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Actually, it's "Just Like You Imagined", from The Fragile.
Damn good song, and I think it fits just fine with this trailer. - herrshuster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9And the non-hd version (you can also download this one):

hd download link: http://images.apple.com/movies/wb/300/300-tlr1_h1080p.mov (yes it's different)
(found by looking in the stupid .mov reference file) - sudonim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9You can't do every period action movie with gregorian chanting in the background. As long as they keep it classy and don't just fill the soundtrack with the latest singles from last month its fine by me.

It's people like you that make digg worthwhile. Cheers. - pzilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8yay nine inch nails! Great use of the song. I think it's on the fragile for those interested
- Bara, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7No no no, they only yelled whenever they said the name of the city they live in. I'd love to live in a city where you have to scream with passion and anger everytime you mentioned it's name.
- sparks2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8@snipesack
This is not only a better quality trailer but it is a DIFFERENT trailer. I'm guessing this is supposed to be the "final" version or something because there are some differences. - mwilke, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I just got a hard on....
- missflibbles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Bad. Ass.
- mentok, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wow, that actually looked as good as the graphic novel. Stylized is kind of what Frank Miller does, also fiction doesn't have to be historically accurate.
- tekmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Somehow I don't think the R-rating would stand if 300 nude Spartans were battling 200,000+ nude Persians. Nice try, though.
- herrshuster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Hey I don't know about all of you, but if you saw the first trailer when it hit digg, I liked that one more.

if you want. It's not hi-def, WB took it down from youtube and google video at first, but i thought it was better...IMHO - ArthurSucks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@LabThug
Funny, I just installed Mplayer and Mplayer plug-in. It works perfectly. The system requirements are written for Quicktime to play the video not Mplayer. Mplayer is MUCH faster and lighter, therefore requires less horsepower. - there, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Looks crazy.
There is no movie due to come out before it that I'm more greatly anticipating. - pabloD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is gonna rock. FM's been a director his whole life, he just didn't know it. His comics are storyboards, and Robert Rodriguez knew this when he created Sin City. He stepped aside and became the facilitator, instead of hijacking another auteur's work and bending it to his own vision (as a matter of fact, he insisted on FM being billed as co-director, which I believe got him sacked from a trade union, no?).
It's great to see someone else following this example. It might not work for everyone, but it certainly does for Frank MIller.
Now if only the Warners got their act together and did this for The Dark Knight Returns. . . it would be a great bookend to Batman Begins. - AgentBarcode, on 01/11/2009, -0/+3This is gonna be a great film. After watching this, I went around my neighborhood shouting, THIS IS TAMPA!!!!!!!
- rohell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4yay! Nine Inch Nails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - it is The Mark Has Been Made from The Fragile, i believe

Mplayer plugin (a.k.a mozilla-mplayer) was the one I needed. I know about mplayer and its requirements, just not which package made it work for this. Thanks much for the insight.
Looks awesome! And yeah, it is better than the youtube one :-) - anillop, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I always wondered when they were going to get around to a movie about the battle of Thermopylae. This was one of the greatest battles in all of history. I cant wait for this movie.
- Nietzsche, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2this is pretty cool...
http://www.solaceincinema.com/2006/10/04/300-comic-to-screen-comparison/
Kind of the same as the Sin City comparison that went around. Looks like Snyders doing as good a job as Rodriguez at sticking to the feeling of the book. - 1807, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2AMAZING. Simply Breath taking. CG or no.
- tekmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Check out the production blog for more info on the movie: http://300themovie.warnerbros.com/
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I watched the 720p trailer last night and was blown away. This film looks ridiculously cool.
- obiwankenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1 I just finished watching it and I need a new pants.
- razit3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1In march 9 we die in hell !!!!!
- sl33stak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1OK, so it's a series...........doh!
- jonnyeh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You need quicktime pro ($$) to do that
- sl33stak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Holy *****! This looks badass! I better get the book!
- rapeandruin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1cool stuff.
- DigiRaven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this looks badass. Hope it is as good as the book.
- metric152, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's interesting to see the in-progress then post-production version of this movie. I'm now very interested in seeing it. It looks amazing. It's also directed by the guy that did the "Dawn of the Dead" remake when IMHO was far better then the original, but I think it was trying to do something different seeing as how the sequel was in the same vane as the original.
- ziggy110, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Thanks snipehack,for posting the link to the story i submitted 6 days ago,
http://digg.com/movies/Frank_Miller_s_300_Trailer - jdstorer2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Y'know, you can say "crap" without blocking it out. Seriously, it's ok! See? Crap!
*lightning zaps* - mr.hostility, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wow, looks sweet. First I have heard of this movie, kudos for the link.
- noodge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Uhm. If you're really feeling sinister, you can always get the URL of the file from the mplayer-plugin and download the file permanently. Just right click anytime and click "Copy URL." Then open a terminal and type "wget " (ensuring there's a space) and middle click. Then hit enter and enjoy the trailer in whatever player you like. I'm not sure if Quicktime offers this, but it's a nice feature in linux.
- RooDoG, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I cant view 1080p with my PC :(
- skyhighrockets, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Man, that was A LOT of cg. Like every frame was 70% cg.
- MrGwain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't go to movies anymore. Mobile Phones, talking teenagers, high prices etc etc. I'll be there opening day for this one. I'm happy to be joyous about a movie trailer again, looks glorious.
- pitchblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's "dine" in hell. You couldn't very well die in hell, could you. In order to actually reach hell, one would already have to be dead.
- annaebaby, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0hey, live your live & enjoy!
