- antman3i, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Visual Download??? It might as well say, "PC Load Letter"
- zerolaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2no tps cover sheet?
useless - Kirin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Notice something guys. The link at the bottom of the gift set page is for the special edition disk by itself, NOT the gift set. There's no place to order the actual gift set yet, they're just advertising at the moment it looks like. I'm guessing it will probably be a bit more expensive than $25 though.
- dolphumous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm still not sure if they're actually giving you the stapler, mug, pen etc. WTF is a visual download?

$17.99 for the red swingline - jrsims, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Get the coversheet to your next TPS Report right here!
http://www.chrisglass.com/journal/downloads/TPSreport.pdf
...And I'll make sure you get another copy of that memo. - ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't know, it says "Gift Set" on the top of both of the pictures. Why would they just have pictures of a mouse pad and stapler? It MUST come with all that stuff in the box.
- oliveaddict, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great movie, but Best Buy selling this "Gift Set" is ludicrous. Digg the movie, but not the warez Best Buy is pushing. No digg.
- cvkslashdot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have been holding out for the predicted 'red stapler edition' for a long time. Finally, it is here... Dugg.
- leadingzero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i don't understand the majority of digg users. some of the coolest stuff never gets promoted while all kind of crap endlessly fills the home page *sigh*
- tcrawford, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet, with my employee discount I’ll defiantly pick this up!
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just got an email back from Best Buy:
"Thank you for contacting Best Buy about < ISSUE > I'm Laura with
Customer Care.
We appreciate your interest in the Office Space Special Edition DVD
however the items you are inquiring about are Visual downloads:
Stapler,
Mousepad, Coffee Mug, Magnet picture frame, Notepad, and Pen/Pencil.
We look forward to your next visit to one of our stores or to
www.BestBuy.com. Please do not hesitate to contact us with additional
questions or concerns.

Gee that was helpful, thanks Best Buy!!! - cawpin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^^^ Suggested response.
Thanks for the quick reply. Now, could you actually ANSWER my question?
Thank you. - manfesto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0actually, the stapler's worth about $10 - it's just a red swingline, and my buddy has one.
He loves that stapler. - dolphumous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you just want the widescreen version without the gay downloads get it on amazon. It's $13.99 with free shipping over $25

The box doesn't look so deep, they don't mention the red stapler or coffee mug but they do say "visual downloads"
----
That's not the same edition - sparkrainfir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0what a rad find.
the stapler alone is worth 24 dollars; think geek was selling them for that much last year. - bonlebon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mumbling "one of these days I'm gonna torch this place..."
- nugge7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Though OS is a good movie, this is simply not front page material."
What are you talkin' about? There's a movie section for a reason on digg. Thus, is front page material. - reaver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Must buy! I loved that movie.
- inactive, on 04/15/2009, -0/+0I was ready to point out how it isn't worth the money and it'd be a lot cheaper to buy ___ and ___ and ___ seperately, but it actually seems like a good deal at $25 if you want the extras
- Veloxi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am SO getting this! Thanks!
- hooges, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0On the second page of the Best Buy description, it states that the stapler is a VISUAL DOWNLOAD. I am not thinking you actually get a real stapler, unless I am mistaken (which I hope I am).
Sorry to bust all the fun. - ricodued, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hooges:
I think what they mean by 'visual download' is a real, physical item :P - reaver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I knew it was too good to be true.
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0New email:
"Thank you for contacting Best Buy about the DVD of your interest. I'm
Belinda with Customer Care.
According to the web site the mug, stapler, etc are visual downloads,
what that means is that they are able to be downloaded as screen savers
from your movie to your computer.
We look forward to your next visit to one of our stores or to
www.BestBuy.com. Please do not hesitate to contact us with additional
questions or concerns.
Best Wishes from Best Buy,

Special Features:
- Fullscreen Feature/Widescreen Feature
- Out of the Office: An Office Space Retrospective with Mike Judge
- Deleted Scenes: Peter Lies to Lumbergh, Happy Hour and Chotchkies, Peter Goes off on Nina, and Tom's Mixed Heritage Called into Question
- Thearical Trailer
- DVD-ROM audio
- Visual downloads: Stapler, Mousepad, Coffee Mug, Magnet picture frame, Notepad, and Pen/Pencil - Luftwaffle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Haha. You get pictures of those items, not the actual items. Did anyone really think you'd get all that and the movie for $25?
- schwinn140, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0AMAZING!!
- mccarron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It appears that the DVD itself has downloadable virtual items, the coffee mug, stapler, etc. But this "exclusive gift set" actually has the items. Or so I hope.
- losplace, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Geez! I bought the set this morning. It comes with a real red stapler (though a smaller version), a real mouse pad (though a smaller one than usual), a TPS report note pad, a real coffee mug, magnet frame,... So stop telling people that the items listed aren't included!!! Because they are!!!
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It could just be a different way of saying "Includes Super-Awesome Movie Prop Replicas Within THIS VERY DAMN BOX!!!" Ya never know.
- sandpaperback, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I will be buying, but this gets an Anti-Digg for not including any physical extras.
- B111, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Tell you what Best Buy, I will give you "virtual" money for your "virtual" extras.
- BulkHedd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hope mccarron is right, but I just don't trust Best Buy.
- Lentilboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No wonder this website exists
http://bestbuysux.org - ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just emailed Best Buy-Online to see if they have the answer, I will copy it here when (if ever) I get the answer back.
- gol706, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I guess we'll have to wait till it shows up in stores to be able to tell which it is. Once we can see the actual size of the box it should be obvious which it is. I just wouldn't be trusting enough of best buy to order it online sight-unseen.
- TeChGuRL19, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great find!!!!!!!!!!
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Better yet, I found a link through IGN:

The box doesn't look so deep, they don't mention the red stapler or coffee mug but they do say "visual downloads" - snowboarder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ima aloud tooo listennn to tha radio ata reasonal volume from 9 to eleven...
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They changed the description to be more like the items are actually IN the box.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here is a link to all the stuff that should have been in the package.
http://www.techcomedy.com/www.redswinglinestapler.com/show_product.php - wilf_brim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dugg, but I'm very thankful that some of you have done the homework on this. The ad is very deceptive, as it says it includes the items.
Nonetheless, I think this would be a really good idea for a holiday gift for the Office Space fan. Get the DVD, then go and buy a coffee mug, a red stapler, etc and stick them in a box. Great gift for like 30 bucks. - bigervin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this should end all these doubting rumors...
http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/8854/officespacegiftset17cf.jpg - jdryyz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0bigervin, ya beat me to it! I can confirm that there are 3-deminsional items in the version available in Best Buy stores.
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Did someone think to email Best Buy and ask?
- dance2die, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol, the funniest classic gone "extra special". I am not even surprised~ It was just bound to happen~
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah I was kinda dissapointed with the set though. The special features are very scarce, just a commentary and a few short dumb deleted scenes. The stapler says Office Space and not Swingline on it, which takes away the point. The coffee mug has Lumberg on it instead of the Initechlogo like everyone else. The notepad has a fish skeleton on it (from the scene where Peter throws the fish guts on a pile of TPS reports) The "magnetic picture frame is just a crappy magnet that is slightly bigger than a credit card. There is also a red pen and red mechanical pencil that says "Office Space on it"
So all in all, I am let down my the contents, but the movie is still awesome and I finally have it. - jpetticrew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Damnit...
