- digg it
- Matricula, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is great ... I would buy it for the red stapler.
- Phocks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was ready to point out how it isn't worth the money and it'd be a lot cheaper to buy ___ and ___ and ___ seperately, but it actually seems like a good deal at $25 if you want the extras
- reaver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Must buy! I loved that movie.
- outlawed, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0-digg.
Though OS is a good movie, this is simply not front page material. - zerolaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2no tps cover sheet?
useless - nugge7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Though OS is a good movie, this is simply not front page material."
What are you talkin' about? There's a movie section for a reason on digg. Thus, is front page material. - bonlebon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mumbling "one of these days I'm gonna torch this place..."
- outlawed, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I was under the impression the movie section was for worthy news: big releases, trailers, or new information on movies, not best buy deals that come with various office supplies. :/
- Veloxi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am SO getting this! Thanks!
- hooges, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0On the second page of the Best Buy description, it states that the stapler is a VISUAL DOWNLOAD. I am not thinking you actually get a real stapler, unless I am mistaken (which I hope I am).
Sorry to bust all the fun. - hooges, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Direct quote:
Special Features:
- Fullscreen Feature/Widescreen Feature
- Out of the Office: An Office Space Retrospective with Mike Judge
- Deleted Scenes: Peter Lies to Lumbergh, Happy Hour and Chotchkies, Peter Goes off on Nina, and Tom's Mixed Heritage Called into Question
- Thearical Trailer
- DVD-ROM audio
- Visual downloads: Stapler, Mousepad, Coffee Mug, Magnet picture frame, Notepad, and Pen/Pencil - sparkrainfir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0what a rad find.
the stapler alone is worth 24 dollars; think geek was selling them for that much last year. - reaver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I knew it was too good to be true.
- ricodued, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hooges:
I think what they mean by 'visual download' is a real, physical item :P - Luftwaffle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Haha. You get pictures of those items, not the actual items. Did anyone really think you'd get all that and the movie for $25?
- manfesto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0actually, the stapler's worth about $10 - it's just a red swingline, and my buddy has one.
He loves that stapler. - hold_steady, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I was under the impression the movie section was for worthy news: big releases, trailers, or new information on movies, not best buy deals that come with various office supplies. :/"
Man "outlawed" you are just contemplating yourself all over the place. A new box set for a classic movie would in fact fall perfectly into "new information on movies" category you so justly described as being a worthy digg. Please can people stop getting pissed when stuff they aren't necessarily interested in gets to the front page. Just scroll over it or report it. - reaver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Manfesto, where the hell did he find it for 10 dollars?
- nugge7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I was under the impression the movie section was for worthy news: big releases, trailers, or new information on movies, not best buy deals that come with various office supplies. :/"
Sure, let say it doesn't deserve to be in the movie section. Well, let's say we put it on the "deals" section. Either way, it would have gotten dugged enough to be on the front page. - kubedawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0man, if i just didnt already won office space on dvd... yeah, that'd be greeat......
- mortal-god, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0now I am confused, first it says you get those items then it says they are visual downloads, and yeah $25 seem too low for that much. But then why is the box so big(depth wise) its only one disc.
- Phocks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah.. Sod what I said, it's not worth the $25 if all you get are wallpapers of the 'extras'; undugg
- mattza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Couldn't you have found a better link than to Best Buy? Other wise, DIGG!
- vietofmars, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.viking.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=74740&location_info=SG_1_CT_805_SC_805001_FM_7046245_SK_74740
$17.99 for the red swingline - tifosiv122, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Couldn't you have found a better link than to Best Buy? Other wise, DIGG!"
That would be hard when they say:
Best Buy exclusive! - jrsims, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Get the coversheet to your next TPS Report right here!
http://www.chrisglass.com/journal/downloads/TPSreport.pdf
...And I'll make sure you get another copy of that memo. - vietofmars, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.techcomedy.com/www.redswinglinestapler.com//show_product.php
$15.47 - yaos, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0hmm...is Digg slowly becoming the AOTS 2 with all these ads unrelated to "all things tech" being dugg here?
- angelwspr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0beast buy..?
- serpentor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Over 30 comments and yet still no link to a torrent? What's up with Digg these days?
- eamonman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0picts of the items? I honorably withdraw my digg
- rm999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hope they will include the old SNL shorts starring Milton that spawned this movie.
- jperdomo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is it wrong to purchase this even though I already own Office Space? Oh well might pick it up in the store.
- tcrawford, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet, with my employee discount I’ll defiantly pick this up!
- cvkslashdot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have been holding out for the predicted 'red stapler edition' for a long time. Finally, it is here... Dugg.
- oliveaddict, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great movie, but Best Buy selling this "Gift Set" is ludicrous. Digg the movie, but not the warez Best Buy is pushing. No digg.
- dolphumous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm still not sure if they're actually giving you the stapler, mug, pen etc. WTF is a visual download?
- corkster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0If only they shipped to Australia!
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Did someone think to email Best Buy and ask?
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Better yet, I found a link through IGN:
http://dvd.ign.com/articles/646/646213p1.html
The box doesn't look so deep, they don't mention the red stapler or coffee mug but they do say "visual downloads" - TeChGuRL19, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great find!!!!!!!!!!
- sandpaperback, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I will be buying, but this gets an Anti-Digg for not including any physical extras.
- antman3i, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Visual Download??? It might as well say, "PC Load Letter"
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It could just be a different way of saying "Includes Super-Awesome Movie Prop Replicas Within THIS VERY DAMN BOX!!!" Ya never know.
- Matt2k, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0What a scam!
- mccarron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It appears that the DVD itself has downloadable virtual items, the coffee mug, stapler, etc. But this "exclusive gift set" actually has the items. Or so I hope.
- BulkHedd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hope mccarron is right, but I just don't trust Best Buy.
- gol706, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I guess we'll have to wait till it shows up in stores to be able to tell which it is. Once we can see the actual size of the box it should be obvious which it is. I just wouldn't be trusting enough of best buy to order it online sight-unseen.
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just emailed Best Buy-Online to see if they have the answer, I will copy it here when (if ever) I get the answer back.
- B111, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Tell you what Best Buy, I will give you "virtual" money for your "virtual" extras.
