- shawngreg, on 11/28/2008, -3/+12Great idea for a list! I never understand why Hollywood thinks it's so cool to hate spending time with your family during the holidays. We should love our loved-ones. (Hence they are called "loved-ones.")
- blinker265, on 11/29/2008, -0/+6how about the hoover's from little miss sunshine? "Divorce?! Bankruptcy?! Suicide?!! You guys are ***** losers!!"
- Alexmtz101, on 11/29/2008, -0/+5Functional Families.
- arkaycee, on 11/29/2008, -0/+5"Oh, she thinks I'm too critical. That's another fault of hers."
- inactive, on 11/29/2008, -0/+5Wouldn't 'non-dysfunctional' be a 'functional' family?
- synwolf, on 11/29/2008, -0/+5The Firefly crew!
- Dancon7, on 11/29/2008, -0/+4The Hendersons. They were even able to absorb a Bigfoot into their clan without really fighting about it.
- TheRealDeuce, on 11/29/2008, -0/+4Same place as the Full House movie.
- inactive, on 11/29/2008, -0/+4I'd like to nominate the Griswolds from the National Lampoon's Vacation movies, especially Christmas Vacation. Sure, cousin Eddie is a mooching drunk, but he rises to the occasion when Clark's boss screws him out of his Christmas bonus.
- alphabetagaga, on 11/29/2008, -0/+3You, sir, have never met my family.
- TheRealDeuce, on 11/29/2008, -0/+3Oh you!
Cut. That. Out. - zwaldowski, on 11/29/2008, -0/+3Yes, but remember that not all double negatives are that way. Most of them, in fact, have different meanings. This, though, was a bad attempt at word play.
- rinote, on 11/29/2008, -0/+2Don't torture yourself Gomez... that's my job.
- AyaJulia, on 11/29/2008, -0/+2Did you read the submission? The Buckets were the last family on the list.
- da_bradler, on 11/29/2008, -0/+2I have a feeling someone who is not a native English speaker would have a hard time reading half the titles of Digg stories. I mean the only reason I manage to figure anything out is I normally can tell what it means according to the context the phrase is used. If you were trying to figure out what someone was trying to say using nothing but the rules of the English language you'd be *****
- inactive, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1How is this relevant?
- TVarmy, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1Constantly looping in Hell?
- kds1398, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1"not dull, one-dimensional bundles of endless cheer. "
- lroche, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1I love Meet Me in St. Louis....I'll be Home for Christmas never fails to make me tear up
- mrzeero, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1I can't believe Swiss Family Robinson did not make the list.
- ZeroCubed, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1Hollywood couples are the same - there are so many flings, getting together, break ups, marriages, divorce, having kids, yadda yadda, all in the same year and sadly enough, by the very same people. Granted, most people in the United States have or will have a failed major relationship, but rarely do people have more than one - and in Hollywood, the resume of some would probably have pastors refusing to participate in this cheapening of marriage. And they like to point the finger at gays! Ha! The finger instead should be pointed at the notorious Hollywood faces who are in and out of marriage like shoppers in a grocery store. They provide such an "inspiriation" to their fans. Not to mention their own pastors/nuns ect who molest young boys, or have affairs. They're even worse, because they preach one thing and claim to be faithful to God and everything else, but do otherwise when no one is looking. Disgusting hypocrites, the lot of them.
- mr5150, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1The Musters are a loving family just as the Adams family.....dugg anyway.
- xOutlawx, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1Wouldn't the Bluths be the textbook definition of dysfunctional?
- solidwhetstone, on 11/29/2008, -1/+1If we're adding TV families you could also go with:
The Winslows
The Cleavers
The Tanners - AyaJulia, on 11/29/2008, -1/+1o.O You guys aren't much for first editions or nostalgic kids' books or what? Not bitching, just... why all the buries?
- jefffiebs, on 02/12/2009, -0/+0I loved Harry and the Hendersons, that was the ideal family. Bringing in a bigfoot into their family, just goes to show really families accept anyone into theirs. http://highqualitymoviedownloads.info
- AyaJulia, on 11/29/2008, -4/+4Does anyone remember the original book version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, where the illustrations (sparse as they were) made the Buckets look very, very dark? The movie shattered my image of Charlie when he turned out white.
Edit: After closer googling, it seems the newer editions had revamped illustrations by a Quentin Blake. I'm talking about the scribbles from the first edition. :P - inactive, on 11/29/2008, -3/+2Wednesday strapped Pugsly to an electric chair and fried him and they weren't dysfunctional? Eh, dugg for them anyway.
- inactive, on 11/29/2008, -4/+1where is the Tanners from full house????????
- inactive, on 11/29/2008, -9/+2"You sucking my penis" suggested by me.
