New cool Coca Cola ad is a complete knock off of a Japanese pop music Video
ptyx.org — The ad agency behind the new Coke ad (the one with the White Stripes soundtrack) merely ripped off a very famous video clip from a very famous Japanese artist (Yuki), and went ahead thinking nobody would notice. Watch both videos and check for yourself how uninspired they were...

I doubt they hired the director of that music video looking for a different style. And I dont think americans would end up seeing that Yuki video if it wasnt online, i didnt see it until just now...
- btgarner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Both videos were directed by Nagi Noda ... is it really plagiarizing, if it's your own style? Neat stuff, none the less.. .. but misrepresentative title.

- mikemehuys, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah... i don't feel it's much of a rip-off if the director was down with it. Yuki gotta get paid too, yo.
- rm999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Does this remind anyone of a Harvey Birdman episode (shoyu weenie or something like that)?
- kschramm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Regardless of the fact that it was inspired by another source, it's a darn cool commercial. It reminds me of those "I'd like to teach the world to sing" Coca Cola ads from the 70's.
