- FoxMcCloud, on 11/14/2008, -14/+256When did Rorschach start sounding like the Batman voice?
- cubbiesx, on 11/14/2008, -0/+208Just realized the dead guy from Grey's Anatomy is the Comedian.
Ah ***** I just told digg that I watch Grey's Anatomy... - notalent420, on 11/14/2008, -4/+208Oh well, my first try at submitting a story has failed. You win MrBabyMan.
As for the trailer, looks awesome. I'm reading the book right now and I can't wait to see what it looks like on the big screen. - carpeclunes, on 11/14/2008, -4/+176You knew what he sounded like from reading the book?
- bonk2k, on 11/14/2008, -2/+160Halloween 08: The Joker
Halloween 09: Rorschach - rinote, on 11/14/2008, -2/+153That was not how I pictured Dr. Manhattan to sound at all.
- cptmichael101st, on 11/14/2008, -15/+155Dug for MUSE!
- scarymoo, on 11/14/2008, -1/+130I'm so glad this is Rated R.
- mcsenget, on 11/14/2008, -3/+120The music was part of what MADE the first trailer.
- JaysonthePirate, on 11/14/2008, -0/+106Your fear only makes him stronger.
- Metalcard, on 11/14/2008, -0/+94Same, I always figured it would be a deep monotone voice with and echoy godly type feel.
- TheCollective00, on 11/14/2008, -0/+93None of you understand. I'm not locked up in here with you. YOU'RE locked up in here with ME.
- JakeKreber, on 11/14/2008, -5/+98Watchmen
Crimebusters
Minutemen
Do you realize how ***** confusing it would be to separate those groups in a 2-3 hour movie? - afeitarse, on 11/14/2008, -8/+83I don't know...the more I see about this movie, the more I get the sneaking suspicion that it's going to be a nonsensical mess. The graphic novel itself was held together by brilliant writing and narrative structure and I'm not even sure it can translate well to a movie. Plus, I liked 300, but I don't know if really proves to me that Snyder is up to the challenge.
I definitely hope I'm wrong, though! - 4LeggedtriPod, on 11/14/2008, -1/+74Take a Bow - Muse
- RangerDanger75, on 11/14/2008, -0/+65Agreed. Not deep enough and it's too emotional.
- AmericanGunner, on 11/14/2008, -1/+59digg him up to bring more attention to his comment
- JaysonthePirate, on 11/14/2008, -1/+59I also hope you're wrong.
- evilhomestereo, on 11/14/2008, -15/+71I heard the rumors that Snyder changed the group name from Crimebusters to Watchmen.
...I'm just disappointed that they were true. - JaysonthePirate, on 11/14/2008, -4/+58Thats what he's supposed to sound like. A lot of people compare him to Batman, and they have reason to. He's awesome.
- DarkoKun, on 11/14/2008, -3/+55I know! he sounded like a chipmunk when I read the comics.
- marskid2, on 11/14/2008, -0/+51Music:

Let me know if you want me to post 320 kbps MP3s of those songs on Mediafire or something. - fxu1989, on 11/14/2008, -2/+49Is this movie done all in slow motion?
- MOates, on 11/14/2008, -9/+55It's a change that I can deal with. Besides, Watchmen is infinitely more bad ass than Crimebusters.
- eSJayBee, on 11/14/2008, -0/+44When he talks, his speech bubble's contour is very 'rocky' and lumpy compared to everyone else in the comic's and it's only that when he puts his mask ("my face") on. You could argue that's because his voice sounds muffled because of the mask.
More importantly, Silk Specter II mentions to Nite Owl II that Rorschach's voice is weird and monotone when telling him about how he creeps her out. - bevinjill, on 11/14/2008, -7/+50I know! exactly! wow i was disappointed too...
i know how alot of people think this is such a stupid little minor detail but to me , the fact that NOBODY in Alan Moore's novel were actually called Watchmen was a deliberate decision. These were crappy heroes , not Justice League or Mighty Avengers. The quote in the comic "Who watches the Watchmen" had been mysterious and ambiguous because nobody in the book were called watchmen, and this made the book feel like an intellegent read. However, with the group of costumed adventurers being called The Spectacular Watchmen, it takes the mystique and intellegence out of the story. - dweeb79, on 11/14/2008, -5/+46It's gorgeous. March can't come soon enough. :(
- Frostek, on 11/14/2008, -0/+40Yes, the entire film is actually only 17 minutes long.
- flangepiece, on 11/14/2008, -3/+40I really can't help myself. Digg me down to hell, but for the love of all that is holy, please learn to spell "intelligence" correctly.
That said, fair point. - 4LeggedtriPod, on 11/14/2008, -7/+41The minor changes from the book aren't what I had hoped for, but this movie is still going to kick serious ass.
- inactive, on 11/14/2008, -0/+32you saw 300, right?
- DHohen, on 11/14/2008, -1/+33Philip Glass + WATCHMEN TRAILER = FTW
- JaysonthePirate, on 11/14/2008, -4/+36Thats what she said.
- nathanskinner89, on 11/14/2008, -0/+31Already had a guy dress up in a Rorschach costume at my school this year.
The costume was amazing. And he carried around a journal. - DarkoKun, on 11/14/2008, -6/+37You got my dug muse is one of the best bands ever!
- Lucifugerising, on 11/14/2008, -7/+37Wow, just holy *****.
Awesome. - MOates, on 11/14/2008, -1/+31I completely agree with all of the comments above mine. I always imagined it rather deep, emotionless, and with a slight echo. Probably the most disappointing thing I have seen yet, but it's still a rather small problem.
- JaysonthePirate, on 11/14/2008, -0/+29All his speech bubbles were blue. How can they try to portray that as a normal human voice?
- helooksmortal, on 11/14/2008, -4/+33...Batman? Is that you I hear?
- Neorio, on 11/14/2008, -0/+29Alan Moore did a brief reading of the watchmen (more specifically, the burial of the Comedian scene ) in an interview, and he used the Batman-like voice for Rorschach. You can find the video somewhere on Youtube.
- immatellyouwhat, on 11/14/2008, -1/+28They should make it the WatchBusters there everyones HAPPY >: []
- imightbewrong, on 11/14/2008, -1/+27so true, the first trailer is one of the best trailers I have ever scene and the music makes it so good
- keatonkeaton998, on 11/14/2008, -4/+29MUSE
- doctordbx, on 11/14/2008, -0/+24It was supposed to sound dumb.
- MrJ777, on 11/14/2008, -1/+25I went as Rorschach this year (made 3 masks and changed them at random all night so it had the moving effect) and Joker last year (in a golden age styled purple zoot suit).
And I saw about a billion Joker costumes this year and EVERY ONE of THEM SUCKED. I imagine even a costume as easy as Rorschach's will be ruined.
Tip mask makers: make it go half down your neck and cover the overhang with the scarf. TADA! now you can eat, drink, and smoke by rolling it up like he does in the comics.
/geek - Johnnyjm, on 11/14/2008, -1/+24I always imagined his voice being awkward sounding like in a socially inept kind of way, not so much tough sounding like in this trailer.
- gaqua, on 11/14/2008, -7/+30Dr. Manhatten's "LEAVE ME ALONE" is about the most whiney 14-year old door-slamming moment I can imagine. How utterly stupid.
The rest looks pretty awesome though. - ryananger, on 11/14/2008, -9/+32Honestly, something so small a detail really doesn't matter. I'm happy just the same.
- phonuz, on 11/14/2008, -3/+26Veidt just looks wrong: too skinny, too young.
- soupdawg30, on 11/14/2008, -3/+26Hah, lose your testicles?
