Unfortunately, I'm also a Will Eisner fan and Frank Miller's "updated" version does a disservice to the character. I'd really like to see someone tackle a movie based on the original Spirit comics.

- mmx2000, on 09/30/2008, -0/+2I can appreciate trying to imitate the artistic aesthetic of the comics, but the script just seems... bad. None of their one-liners really seem impactful or unexpected. There really don't seem to be any surprises here. For a movie based off a graphic novel, that's fine I suppose... but given the extreme detail given to presentation you would think they would learn that special effects don't make the movie.
