edit: nm, link blends in.. halfway down the page. - Roger, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4I don't see a video either...
NM I guess. Stupid ***** put a link hidden in all the text. - Roger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9... and now it won't playing in FF. Why the hell won't MSN use flv's like normal websites?
Anyone wanna youtube this? - DiggChainey, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16"But it goes to 11 ?"
http://xoinks.com/mov/view_video.php?viewkey=82b7f8635bcf68737256 - INTERCEPTOR, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8great clip diggchainey
not sure why your getting dugg down for it.. I guess most Diggers are too young to undertstand the greatness of it. - Roger, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I dugg it down because he thread jacked. And because I thought it was the new film.
But it is a great clip. - mikesly, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9http://www.liveearth.msn.com/
Video comes up right in the center (flash) - Greymoon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Wtf, msn asks me to install firefox 1.5 (i have 2.xx) and to install media flash player (got it)
Guess i am to software over-qualified to see Spinal Tap. - cousinzoidfarb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Hmm. MSN video for a Microsoft Live Earth promotion, but in the film they are using iMacs. Authentic Spinal Tap moment or what?
- skyfire1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"great clip diggchainey

His name is blasphemy to the diggas of the world. - pifko87, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I love Spinal Tap
I hate crappy apple product placement.
Watch the video, you'll see.
I'm off to buy an iMac.
- MisterFlaut, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5I see no vid on that page.
- scaremongerR, on 11/02/2007, -31/+1every time i think of spinal tap, i think of 09 f9 11 02 9d 74 e3 5b d8 41 56 c5 63 56 88 c0
- tucobenedicto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19I think of 11.
- SamKellett, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8But why don't you just make 10 louder?
- rollingstone21, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4"But it goes to 11"
- venom8599, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I loved the original movie, but this seemed really lame. Maybe it's just that the actors have aged so much in between, but it just doesn't seem to have any of the same humor. Maybe if a drummer would've met some untimely fate at their rehearsal it would've been better.
- bortis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I agree that the humor in this was rather thin, but I think my favorite joke was the guy playing the drums on the keyboard. That bit, while subtle, was rather wonderful.
- CapeKid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The last 7 minutes or so was a lot better. The first half focused too much on Reiner.
- hailxkill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9"If I could find a valley, like in Tibet, with miniature people to match..."
God bless you, Rob Reiner.- skyfire1, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Rob Weiner.

"Yeah, it's called On Your Toes"
That one got Christopher Guest cracking up, very rare that you see him break character.
@venom8599
Agreed, the drummer should have exploded or something, that would have sealed the clip. Spontaneous combustion has been done, though, and the gardening accident, and the choking on vomit (who's vomit is still undetermined, I guess, can't really dust for vomit). They should recreate Stonehenge and have it fall on the drums, that would be fitting. - TheGilmanator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Brilliant. Digg++
- GoatBn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Does anybody else notice its a flash video playing inside a WMP applet?
- acdcfanbill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9ya, that's kind of odd.
- dezi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Just saw spinal tap for the first time a couple months ago, kind of funny that they made another video (albeit just a short). Good video.
- GhostWithToast, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1This digg goes to 1111.
- jsip, on 10/12/2007, -9/+4"New Spinal Tap film available free online"
I thought all movies were available for free online...- weirdal, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Oh, I get it, piracy. Hilarious...
- kidcoconut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Time is a strange mistress"...I could go for a cesar salad now. Classic. Thanks for the heads-up.
- MatthewDuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4That line is gold. Cracked me up.
Marty: "How long have you been here?"
Nigel: "I dunno. Time...is a strange...mistress..."
- MatthewDuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4That line is gold. Cracked me up.
- JustMatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah it was definitely not as clever as the movie, but it was still pretty funny. And by the way, as far as people talking about the drummer, notice that there actually is no drummer in the shots of them playing; just an empty drum set. And the iMac taking up half of the screen seemed a bit out of place on this site.
"that sounds like a mattress commercial or something, its awful" - gk128, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The rehearsal looking up the songs on the internet to learn to play them again = Cool nod to the Pixies documentary of their reunion, LoudQUIETLoud.
- knuckles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Anyone else notice the video is done in Flash and not in Silverlight...
- weirdal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2anyone successfully download this yet? I get a ton of dead flv links recognized with urlsnooper and none of them are working.
- tomis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The video would have been better if they had done it as an actual episode of Bands Reunited on VH1, as that is clearly the model they were following. And the fact that it's on the horrible MSN Video website. Gross.
But hey, it's Spinal Tap, woooot! - georgeus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wierdal:
Think you missed it earlier.
Go to:
http://www.liveearth.msn.com/
The page has the flv embedded and it works in f/f.
The video page crashes IE and ff for me.. Wasn't even windows media, had images for the buttons. - cnrd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sponsored by MSN and all they use are Mac's?
- rjg232, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I can't play the movie, it crashes. Has anybody Youtubed it?
- unicronband, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think someone has to get it to play first before they can youtube it.
- DieGOPNazis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0O/T: Anyone ever see the rap "mockumentary" 'Fear of a Black Hat'? Funnier than Spinal Tap.
- Oetzi, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1wow this is old news. saw it about two weeks ago.
- google01103, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Is there a version/site that a Mac or Linux user can view it?
Should be illegal to post anything that is MS exclusive even on their own site!l - jjremy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Did anyone else notice Nigel's guitar had something like 8 pickups?
- Bodie50, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Flawed science.
Stupid film.
Can you say... meathead? - dlbear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"It's that metric thing messing you up"
- pifko87, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What guitar is Nigel using?
- assortedg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone else annoyed they had to cross 3 links to get to the video? Why not just link to the video? Or the page hosting, at least....
- ogletree, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How come nobody has talked about ferret legging. He mentions that at the end. That was so funny. I had never heard of ferret legging. Here is a very funny story about it.
