New Spiderman 3 Trailer
retrocrush.com — Not the teaser, has actual footage from movie. ( http://www.ifilm.com/presents/spiderman3 ) Link should have an "HD" version but, I have heard some errors from people. YMMV.

It's actually supposed to debut at midnight, so then the HD version should go active. - idtboy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3the HD won't be officially out till midnight, here's a mirror for the same clip http://www.screamifyouwantit.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=258&Itemid=43

- NyteStarNyne, on 10/12/2007, -4/+19I loved it. The CG was a little rough and I felt the trailer was a little too straightforward rather than teasing you at the start. But the amount of action they showed was far more exciting than most of the summer movies this year put together.
Maybe we'll get to see a cameo of this guy: =p

Anyways, I've got one prediction so far, there's no way Uncle Ben was killed by anyone but that random thug. For whatever reason, someone's trying to frame Sandman, probably someone who hates he and Spider-Man both.
At any rate, it looks ***** spectacular. I can't wait for it. - oOLiquidNightOo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9the special effects in this were amazing, kirsten dunst looked almost palatable.

- hammydude, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4aw no goddamnit why did they have to add in the hole "villian that killed my uncle" crap into this? Isn't that pretty stereotypical and overused? Why can't they just leave it at the fact that he is dead, spiderman killed the thug, end of story?
It can't live up to spiderman 2, the doc octopus actor was amazing.
- Alphateam, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31I hate when they ruin a story line.
Now The Thug didn't kill Uncle Ben? It was The Sandman!!
They could have had The Sandman do some other bad thing.
That TOTALLY ruins his growth as a character. All he learned from the dead Thug, the "With great power comes great responsibility" is lost. Hollywood sucks sometimes.- DanteDefiance, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I agree...yet I'm still holding out on my judgment. I trust Sam I think he did a fantastic job with the second and I have no doubt by the time everyone has seen Spidey 3, we'll all be sucking his balls.
- asskey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Maybe the thug is the Sandman...
Or something IDK... - aegis9975, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Wow! they got the guy from Wings to play Sandman (also in Sideways).

- elastikos, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2The first one does not hold up to repeat viewings, and the second one didn't hold up to one screening for me. The teaser was much better than this, the effects look pretty average at this stage. And the voice overs were terrible, Toby sounds like a 5 year old.
- Cartman911, on 10/12/2007, -12/+3Once again Hollywood screws up what was good as it was originally presented.
Is it just me or does it feel like this is just filler to tide you over until we get to see what we all REALLY want: VENOM?!- Pharaoh777, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Venom is in the movie.
- reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It's pretty much guaranteed that Venom will be in the 4th one.
- pauleku, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3reddevil:
The director has already stated this COULD be the last one. He said something to the effect of "This may be the last one, but if it is, ill be satisfied that we left it like we did". Also, venom IS in the movie, but the trailer(s) leave me to believe he will be in it like 10 mins MAX. - ohgr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It appears to me that their idea of Venom, is just the Alien Substance Suit, and not ours, being Eddie Brock of course.
- ChuyMatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4it has the suit. It has brock.
VENOM!!! - middl3name, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4For those of you who fear Eddie Brock won't become Venom in SM3, look at this teaser poster:

- Toloran, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The movie looks awesome.
My only worry is that they are sticking too much into one movie. All the villains could have an entire movie dedicated just to them but instead they decided to stick them all in one movie. Venom is one of my favorite villains and it is too bad they didn't just give him his own movie =- mediaphile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1venom is going to be featured in the 4th movie if it happens. what they show in the trailer is just the alien symbiont. i imagine venom will probably be one of the last things they show in the movie, the big ending setting up a sequel.
- ryanfelix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Wow that was awesome.
But I thought I read somewhere that Venom was going to be in this one.
Guess I got my hopes up too high... =(- Cartman911, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3He makes a short appearance at the end as the costume finds Brock after the churchbells make it leave Peter.
- Radscott, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3I think when we saw the black costume in the teaser we all thought it was Venom. Turns out it's just the black costume. Venom in S-M 4 maybe?
- mywhitenoise, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6To the person above me, Venom IS in the movie. Didn't anyone see that picture of Topher being attacked by the symbiote?
- Sugars, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I have a feeling Venom's role in this film will be minimum....I think it will be towards the end that hes created and leaving us to wait until the next movie for a proper battle...
- foodluver, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0They'll probably try and tie this internal good v evil conflict with spiderman into an explanation of how venom was created
- Kardde, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Towards the end of the trailer, Parker (in the red Spidey suit) is surrounded by black webbing. Mary Jane is also stuck in black webbing. And Parker (again in red Spidey suit, but it's very torn up) is being choked by a piece of black webbing.
So, yeah, guess whose web that is?
Venom will definitely be in the movie, and it looks like there'll be a fight scene.
- yyanri, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4wow compelling.
haha did u see he's at the top of the bell tower.
That's how he gets rid of it.
Remember that's the thing seperates the symbiote from his body. - MrMxyzptlk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16Sandman killed Uncle Ben? WTF?
- reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Yeah it's a lame way to introduce the character. Also an idiotic way for Spiderman to get revenge.
Why couldn't they just go with the story in the comics? I don't know what the story is since I haven't read the comics, but it's probably better. - mrneutron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Could be that the report was unconfirmed, and Spider Man was too consumed by his anger and loss, too fixated on revenge, to ask whether he was going after the right person. (Iraq war analogy?)
- reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Yeah it's a lame way to introduce the character. Also an idiotic way for Spiderman to get revenge.
- LRoy12, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2lol!!! Venom is driving!!
- TheDiggMan, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Whats up with the Sandman sounding like Godzilla?
- Tonyisbad, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3would it kill sony to show me a pic/clip of venom? Is he even in the movie? Or are they setting up topher Grace/Eddie Brock/Venom up for the 4th spidey installment in 2010...
- leer317, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Did that trailer kind of spoil the movie for anyone else?
- TiCL, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I had the same feeling after Spidey 2 trailer, but boy oh boy I couldn't be any more wrong.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The HD trailer looks 40x better! Anyone know how to save it?
- swingerbone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2see my above post...
save the file from this location: http://download.ifilm.com/s3_test/Spider-man_3_trailer_720p.mov - kinesis8, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I had no idea Kirsten Dunst had such hairy forearms
- joeydoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1She has spaniel ear ***** as well.
- swingerbone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2see my above post...
- Eleo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I have to say, I'm disappointed by the lack of advancement in the CG work. Some of the web-slinging or action scenes still lack a lot of weight and believability, which I would have thought they'd have improved upon over the past few years.
It looks like the movie will be pretty good, though. The past two stories have been well-written.- newbietheatre, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I also thought the CG looked off. But I can't imagine them taking a step backward - so I figure it's just unfinished.
- drjekelmrhyde, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looks real good to me I hope its 2+ hours of action
- rnelsonee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5oops: this was supposed to be a reply to a thread above me started by ryanfelix.
Actually, Venom might not be in this one. He certainly wasn't in the trailer at all - that was simply Spidey in the new costume. The symbiote attaches to Eddie Brock after Parker rejects it, who then becomes Venom.
Which is great news, really. The Venom 'saga' provided the best comics (IMO). It deserves an entire movie, and is not something to be crammed into 90 minutes while Spidey fights the Sandman. If X-Men can drag the Phoenix saga over two movies, Spider-Man should do just fine introducing the symbiote in this movie, then have it evolve into Venom in part 4, which I'm now going to claim is the best Spider-Man movie of them all :)- pauleku, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1only thing is venom never dies in the comic books. it wouldnt be a very satisfying ending in a SM movie if he was the MAIN bad dude and he didnt die. Thats why (i bet) he plays a very minor role in this one. If there DOES end up being another SM movie and he IS a villan in it, i guarantee you he wont be the only one (cause he doesnt die).
- GoldieTheMack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2 They need to come out with an Infinite Wars movie. Not only would it kick ass but they could show the origins of the symbiote. It's too bad the costume in SM3 doesn't really look like the black costume from the comic book.
- wtfomg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Venom will appear in the movie, for who knows how long. These images were taken off line by Sony, but here's the film version of venom: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v35/akucola/vvmt4.jpg
Production art, of course, but the art for Harry and Sandman are spot-on next to their film counterparts.- exceptIon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you watch the trailer frame by frame you can see at 2:15 Spider-man is standing on the taxi that was caught in a BLACK web, this same web also appears again at 2:24 around Spider-man's neck. Which leads me to believe that there is a final fight with Venom and there's no way they're leaking any footage of that.
The trailer looks good but having the whole movie only center on a pissed off Harry about getting his face disfigured by a pumpkin bomb then fighting Peter the whole movie with the Sandman on his ass as well doesn't put it over the top like a one on one with Venom.
- exceptIon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you watch the trailer frame by frame you can see at 2:15 Spider-man is standing on the taxi that was caught in a BLACK web, this same web also appears again at 2:24 around Spider-man's neck. - theoreticalk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Anyone else salivating over the thought of a Spidey v. Venom v. CARNAGE brawl?
- pauleku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4no way carnage will be in this. Maybe the next one. Or spiderman 12
- echo1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1the best part of this is that it seems like Kirsten Dunst is actually going to be good, not overacting and annoying like usual.
- powerover, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have a feeling that this movie is either going to be 3 hours long, or just too fast paced for me. And internal struggle, relationship issues, and 3 villains is a lot to stuff into 2 hours.
- sleepless, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Looking good. When is summer again?
- gizmo12688, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0In between Spring and Fall, yuk yuk yuk!
- VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Was that... Letterman?
- RobMackenzie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1whoa, I thought I saw Letterman first viewing as well!
I didn't think they'd want to show one of the closing scenes in the trailer, with the bell and all that. Though, I suppose if you aren't familiar with the story arc, then it doesn't mean anything to you.
Shame about the Sandman thing... I wonder how they plan to work it into the story, as Peter already killed the thug in first movie didn't he?
Hope to see it opening night.
- RobMackenzie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1whoa, I thought I saw Letterman first viewing as well!
- EricPeters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just watched the 720p version on my new laptop and... wow! I love hi-def. and Spider-Man. Though the story line seems a little cliche, I still think the movie is going to be awesome.
- pauleku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yea, but hey. The 2st two didnt disappoint me at all. I think there is a lot of CG - looking stuff [there IS yes - but its TOO obvious}
- foodluver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The bad guy reminds me of the mummy
- pauleku, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I really like the trailer except for 1 thing:
It seems like from this trailer that venom wont even be in the movie but for a VERY short time - maybe all of 10-15 mins. I mean, if i were the director and venom wasnt in the movie much at all, i would advertise him in a trailer either at the risk of disappointing fans over misleading them. There seems to be a lot of other stuff going on already. I bet he [venom] show up in brock-form with less than 20 mins to go in the movie. - remo2012, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This guy fights a tree.
It would make a great movie!
Spidey vs this Dude vs The Tree

Might as well try. - phogasmic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That looks awesome, didn't see a lot of Venom though, which is what I was really looking forward too. I guess they are going to save Venom for Spiderman 4. Smart move because with the right teaser at the end of 3 I am going to be salivating for 4
- BevansDesign, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Apparently, in addition to Sandman, Venom, and Green Goblin (or is that Hobgoblin?), recent rumors say that Mysterio will make some sort of cameo appearance (played by Bruce Campbell). But...that's just a rumor.
Also, I'm pretty sure I heard that the final fight will be between Spider Man and Spider Ham.
(I made up that last one.) - ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1So Spider-man's got his own fan club. Interesting.
- samuraijack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the guys making the Superman movies need to take a look at how the Spiderman franchise is so successful.
First...don't make up stuff if something already works, and has worked for the past 50 years use it. Spiderman 1 and 2 were basically how Spiderman came to be...straight from the Comic Books.
Second...Do Not Reinvent the Character...Spiderman is who Spiderman is...If you read the comics you do not miss a beat in the movies...Superman having a kid is so far left field it is not even funny.
Third...take successful comic book story lines and use those as your story lines...they did not fail in print, they should not fail in Theatres.. - toshipaine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Guys this isn't Venom. Venom comes after the Spidey black suit. The black suit is... oooo well I won't say but let's just say if Spidey 3 is a success and a 4th film is made chances are he'll be in that one. Look out for a reporter name Eddie Brock.
- Gigliwananacom, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I feal like the pokemon kid when I think of Eddie.

http://digg.com/videos_comedy/Kid_goes_insane_over_a_pokemon_card - alexthemonster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Of all the sites Sony Columbia gives exclusive access to such a popular commodity, they had to choose iFilm. One of the clunkiest and least relevant video nests out there. And so far, every time I go to the site the trailer fails to load.
I mean, Apple's trailer site could handle this bandwidth demand easily. But these days it seems like only crummy movies give them any exclusives (not counting the natural Pixar connection). You know, because I really give a rat's ass about "A Good Year." - pauleku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1cant sandman turn into any form terminator 2 style? Might that explain something we dont know (possibly) and therefore set confusion of the whole death thing aside?
- mwilke, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Drool!! This and 300 is on my to see list
- ManOfTomorrow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2samuraijack, the guys behind the new Superman movies are using the first two Superman film as a basis, character and continuity wise. Those films happened before the DC Comic book CRISIS and that Superman is not the same Superman that appears every week in various titles.
I guess Bryan Singer knew enough about Superman to not read any comic books.- samuraijack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ManofTommorrow (that is a cool handle...seriously) I guess that is my point. don't use another film as the basis. Use the story lines from what is historically Superman. Pre-Crisis, Crisis, Post-Crisis is not the point. The first two Spider-Man (yipes...that was a mistake on my part) are what the original story line of Spider-Man is. (hangin participle...i hate those). Bryan Singer has actually said he was not a comic book reader until he started with With X-Men ( I guess Marvel likes the "-" in their heroes/villains names). All I was gettin at was that the Spider-Man peeps used a story that has stood the test of time, and did not complicate it. (another hanging participle) If they make another Superman movie they should do that as well.
- ManOfTomorrow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2oh, and please, use a dash when spelling 'Spider-Man'
'nuff said. - Gamblor24, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Its gonna be huge!
- Ark7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Where the ***** is Venom?
If it turns out that he's just hinted at or thrown in as a cameo at the end of the film, I'm going to be pissed.- jenoosia, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Peter IS Venom, at least for a short period of time. The symbiote fuses with him to form a stronger Spidey, at the cost of his sanity.
I think MJ's husband-to-be(or -was), that astronaut guy, is the Carnage in the comics so maybe we'll get a chance to see him. But since the writers messed around with the canon a bit, maybe he'll BE the one to wear the Venom symbiote. - apersaud, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Spiderman is Venom (metaphorically speaking).
In the trailer Aunt May says "Vengence is Poison", and because Spiderman is consumed by poison (vengence for Uncle Ben's death), he becomes a type of poison - hence a venom. And this 'venom' starts killing all the things around him (mainly relationship with his friends). Osborne vengence against Peter for his dad's death. Peter vengence against sandman for his Uncle's death (who he looked up as a father). I think the true unexpected hero in this movie might end up being Mary Jane.
(I think its very philosophical..) I can't wait. - Ark7, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Wow, that is gay as all hell. If Venom turns out to just be Parker in the black suit, ***** this movie.
- jenoosia, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Peter IS Venom, at least for a short period of time. The symbiote fuses with him to form a stronger Spidey, at the cost of his sanity.
- Alagorn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I remember when kirsten dunst slipped up in an interview and said that the climax of the movie involves a fatal four way between spidey, venom, harry and sandman so venom should make a nice appearance. it would be cool if in number four venom and spidey team to fight carnage. that would rock!! also would anyone like to see a spiderman and xmen film. i liked the series of comics and think it would make a nice addition to both series!
- Sparx67, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Can't wait, bring it ON !
