New Images: Iron Man Versus Iron Monger
slashfilm.com — Rather epic new images for this summer ’s Iron Man have touched down over at Yahoo that show Tony Stark facing off against the film’s main villain Iron Monger aka Obadiah Stone (played by Jeff Bridges/killer effects). Loving how the SUV above is packed with people.

- JackSrenton, on 03/28/2008, -10/+4lol, Iron Man looks like hes about to cut and run.
- browwiw, on 03/28/2008, -1/+4Actually, it looks like Tony is about to stomp a molten mudpuddle in that walking steamboiler's ass.
- streetsim, on 03/28/2008, -14/+2I really want this to be a Captain America movie. Watch him come in and beat the ***** out of Iron Man for the last few years while only 5 minutes into the movie.
- browwiw, on 03/28/2008, -0/+3The Captain America movie is slated for 2009. Now quit your bitchin'.
- samdu, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Cap taught Tony how to fight hand to hand. Iron Man took out the Hulk once. I don't think Cap would be that much of a threat.
- browwiw, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Captain America is always a threat. He doesn't let his limitations limit him. That's why he's ***** Captain America.
- itsgotyou, on 03/30/2008, -0/+1they're not much of limitations if they don't at least LIMIT!!!
- sw33tsarin, on 03/29/2008, -1/+2Didn't Captain America get killed off gangland style in the comics?
- browwiw, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Captain America is always a threat. He doesn't let his limitations limit him. That's why he's ***** Captain America.
- badjoke, on 03/28/2008, -10/+1With the amount of money Audi put into the movie, I wonder why they debadged the grill of that Q7.
- bagelpirate, on 03/28/2008, -4/+9Monger wins, purely on the grounds of badassness.
His name is ***** monger.- H0tKarl, on 03/28/2008, -1/+12Who the hell names their son *****?
Kick ass parents, that's who.
- H0tKarl, on 03/28/2008, -1/+12Who the hell names their son *****?
- RabidFurby, on 03/28/2008, -2/+3The mom and son in the car are freaked-the-***** out!
- NinjaPirateDude, on 03/28/2008, -2/+5the recurring theme between this and the hulk movie is that the bad guy is just a fraction bigger than them but other than that they're pretty much the same and FYI it's Obadiah "Stane".
- Arisian, on 03/28/2008, -19/+2This movie still looks horrible...
- browwiw, on 03/28/2008, -0/+4What the ***** is wrong with you? Do you have weird Bizarro-world standards for action movies?
- bagboyrebel, on 03/28/2008, -2/+3well the movie isn't at least 10 years old, so therefore can't be good. I can't be bothered with the details of why, but if you disagree you have bad taste in movies.
- Arisian, on 03/29/2008, -1/+1So sorry to offend you. I hope I did cause you to think about selling all your lame-ass super hero trading cards and possibly move out of your parents house...
- browwiw, on 03/29/2008, -1/+2Wow, he put down the fantasy football magazine and NASCAR crap long enough to respond.
- browwiw, on 03/28/2008, -0/+4What the ***** is wrong with you? Do you have weird Bizarro-world standards for action movies?
- INDOAZZ, on 03/28/2008, -4/+6I really hope this movie lives up to all its hype. There is still a chance for it to be good, RIGHT?
- rholland356, on 03/28/2008, -2/+2As a 10-minute short subject, Iron Man would rock. To make this sausage, though, they will grind out 110 minutes of casing and stuff the good 10 minutes deep inside.
I take that back. The only way Iron Man would be good is if it were no longer than Magneto and Titanium Man, about 3:27, no? - samdu, on 03/29/2008, -0/+3There is a very good chance that this will be good. Favreau is an accomplished director. Downy Jr. was (and is) inspired casting. The number of Oscar nominated and winning actors in the cast huge. The script, from what I've seen looks solid and true to the comic. And Adi Granov was heavily involved in the design of the armors at the behest of Favreau. EVERYthing is pointing to this being the Iron Man movie that fans couldn't have possibly imagined would ever have been made. I've always wanted an Iron Man movie, but I've always just figured that Hollywood would completely crew it up. I haven't seen a thing that makes me think that they've screwed up a single thing.

- BlueSunshine, on 03/28/2008, -10/+3This looks like an awesome CGI cartoon!
Oh wait, it's suppose to be a live action film?- PixelMagic, on 03/28/2008, -1/+3Dude, that is some kickass CGI. It doesn't look fake. You're just bashing for the sake of bashing.
- samdu, on 03/29/2008, -1/+2CG almost never looks as good in a single, isolated frame as it does in motion. Back off nitpicker. Oh, and Favreau is using practical effects as much as is possible. The CGI will only be used where absolutely necessary.
- RobotLeAwesome, on 03/29/2008, -1/+0actually, they did end up having a guy in an iron man suit for a lot of scenes.
- crazyhorse13, on 03/28/2008, -1/+13"b-level superhero"? Since when?
- MackPrime, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1never
- browwiw, on 03/28/2008, -1/+23I hate people who say Tony Stark isn't a real superhero. All those other spandex-wearing freaks either were given their powers or somehow stumbled into them like they was ***** on the sidewalk. Tony Stark just one day, had a Bloody Mary, and said, "Hey, I'm going to use my enormous ***** technical prowess and genius to give myself the powers that I want. Then I'm gonna go motorboat a super model."
- samdu, on 03/29/2008, -0/+3Well, it wasn't exactly like that, but yeah. Tony decided to put himself in harm's way by choice, not because he was bitten by a radioactive spider or was born with some mutated gene. He always has the choice of living a "normal" life. But he doesn't.
- RobotLeAwesome, on 03/29/2008, -0/+0and sometimes he's a total dick! doesn't get much more real than that.
- Arisian, on 03/29/2008, -3/+1NEWS FLASH: HES NOT ***** REAL!
- browwiw, on 03/29/2008, -2/+3News Flash: I ***** Your Mom. She was highly affordable.
- xtmno3, on 03/30/2008, -0/+1oh *****, browwiw. I meant to digg you up, but I missed and hit down. My bad.
- AntonMoss, on 03/28/2008, -1/+1Didn't we see all that in the trailer?
- metrognome, on 03/28/2008, -3/+2Mmm... look at that tight iron ass! I'd be flung around in my Audi to catch a glimps of that.
- H0tKarl, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2My mechanical pencil is ready!!!
- woulok, on 03/28/2008, -4/+4Since no one has asked already, I'll ask:
WHERE THE HELL IS WAR MACHINE?- SunathAlgeraan, on 03/28/2008, -2/+0Not arriving until the next film, or maybe the third one. I know he's not showing up in the first one though.
- browwiw, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2James Rhodes is in the movie.
- sloppymoney87, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2looks cool. I can't wait for this movie

- theAlice, on 03/28/2008, -6/+1At first glance, I thought it said "Iron Mongler".
http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/***** - Ghostalker, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2I don't think Robert Downy Jr needs a suit to get high.
- Guinnessdsu, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2If they destroy the R8 in that last pic I'm gonna be ***** *****.
- Jordan117, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Cool photo. It's too bad he had to miss the Mongering Conference to pose for it, though.
- Mattso, on 03/29/2008, -3/+2I am officially not looking at anything else related to this movie. The last time I was this excited about a movie was Cloverfield, and that didn't turn out so well for me. Can we all make a pact only to digg articles that make the movie look like ***** from now on?
- Pureeviljester, on 03/29/2008, -1/+4i loved cloverfield
- ClevelandBrown, on 03/29/2008, -2/+1I hear ya, Cloverfield sucked a mountain of ass. Terrible movie. I left the theater feeling sick not from the motion of the camera, but that I'd just thrown away 84 min of my life. It should have been cut down to the monster parts, and put in a theme park as a ride with moving seats.
- seabass341, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Nice picture!
- ClevelandBrown, on 03/29/2008, -0/+0I am so relieved the villain for this film wasn't the Mandarin... I mean c'mon, calluses versus iron man's armor in a live action film? That would be outright shenanigans.
- Amadeus2490, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Sweet.
So, are they gonna make the War Machine movie after they get finished with Iron Man 3? - Dush, on 03/30/2008, -0/+0Oh no! Iron Monger is going to hurt that Audi!
Yay! Iron Man is there to save it! - Tekkfu, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1100s of villains to pick ...WTF is Iron Monger
last superman was the same way.
but this looks 100 times better...just wish they could find a better villian.....cant wait - Snowli, on 04/04/2008, -0/+0look that's funny
