- Smokeydabear, on 10/09/2008, -0/+37I watch my porn in five-minute intervals dude. That's all you need.
- jggube, on 10/08/2008, -1/+30Is that why my movies are late? Because they were too busy with this competition?!
- inactive, on 10/09/2008, -0/+28Should have made it harder by making them watch Disaster Movie for 123 hours.
- mattcoady, on 10/09/2008, -1/+20Anyone have the list of movies?
- mattmy, on 10/09/2008, -1/+16i usually fall asleep after 1
- awhite2600, on 10/09/2008, -0/+15The winners live in Canada and Germany. What good is a lifetime membership when Netflix doesn't service these countries?
- dha07030, on 10/09/2008, -1/+16stop exaggerating
- sidizzle, on 10/09/2008, -2/+16If they were watching porn I would've owned them... 123 hours, pssh, ***** noobs.
- MicrosoftBob, on 10/09/2008, -1/+14"Hi, I'm Susan Sarandon. A lot of you know me as Tim Robbins' mother, but I'm actually his girlfriend."
- Protoss, on 10/09/2008, -0/+13Who says they weren't tripping balls?
- Darwynn, on 10/09/2008, -0/+12What?! The winners weren't Americans. We invented the couch potato. Our nation truly is on the decline.
- SpectralSounds, on 10/09/2008, -1/+13"Susan Sarandon was on hand to deliver the final movie Thelma and Louise."
That movie is what did it. I would have stopped watching then too. - iamnobody8614, on 10/09/2008, -0/+11You've obviously never met an avid WoW player.
- tiology, on 10/09/2008, -0/+10/sarcasm?
What have you done in the past 123 hours to help fix any of those issues? - dha07030, on 10/09/2008, -4/+14Yay! An ad for Netflix.
- whoaohh, on 10/09/2008, -0/+10Really puts it into perspecive.
I'm surprised they made it through the Anniversary Edition of Annie at about 100 hours.. - bonk2k, on 10/09/2008, -0/+8awww yeah the way netflix move, baby, its outta sight
- valleyman86, on 10/09/2008, -0/+8For $81.30 and hr + that's not to shabby really.
- NeoNevermore, on 10/09/2008, -0/+8The record is 123 hours, not 123 seconds.
- MadEnvoy, on 10/09/2008, -0/+8According to Guinness, a 10 minute break between movies is acceptable.
http://www.suite101.com/blog/lchwriter/marathon_mo ... - inactive, on 10/09/2008, -0/+8you point out my misspelling of this but not the word "popcord" in the actual article? cmon now.
- trdrstv, on 10/09/2008, -0/+7unemployment gives you all kind of time!
- inactive, on 10/09/2008, -1/+8"Aside from the record title, the pair also get to take home a lifetime Netflix subscription."
if just sat there and watched 123 hours of movies and then they gave me lifetime netflix subscription I would smack Susan Sarandon on the spot. - BigPapi, on 10/09/2008, -1/+8Rent, Annie, Hairspray, Chicago, Moulin Rouge...that takes some serious endurance. Elvira? WTF?
- lornefs, on 10/09/2008, -0/+7In the case of Thelma & Louis it was during.
- inactive, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6How can you think about posting on Digg when there's starving kids in Africa!
- samoan27, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6I wonder if by Caddyshack anyone had the ability to laugh anymore
- Sigoya, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6I though Guinness Record doesn't recognize any records involving sleep deprivation due to the adverse health hazards associated. I recall that was an issue with David Blaine's sleepless stunt attempt recently.
Maybe Blaine should've had TiVo and popcorn up there... - scoottie, on 10/09/2008, -0/+5these people must have had a lot of speed, er i mean caffine
- Smiley09, on 10/09/2008, -0/+5That isn't exactly the hardest/worst list to do such a marathon with... Give them some black and white with only score music movies to watch... Or even worse, give them 10 spoof movies in a row, preferably of the movies they just watched...
- FDL1, on 10/09/2008, -1/+6McCain?
- inactive, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4says the DIGG USER.
- GawtMilk, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4The snack they gave out was a bag of prunes.
- santiago1, on 10/09/2008, -1/+5 There's 123 hours of their lives that they'll never get back.... I'm just sayin'
- boxxa, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4Would be tough to stay awake between 2 minute clips.
- jmiddlin, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4I can't even stay awake for one movie, let alone 57 of them.
- citizenchan, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4WTF. According to my college psychology class after as little as 48 hours without sleep you should start to hallucinate, so how the hell can these people avoid the laws of nature.
- andrew606, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4why am i never aware of these contests until they are over dammit
- giggl3, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4Man how did they stay awake during some of those movies I mean seriously? Annie? Rudy? The Sound of Music more like the The Sound of Sleep.
Kudos to the winners because I would of lost at day 1 lol - ncc74656m, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4And he chooses to spend it on Digg.
- fusion2k5, on 10/09/2008, -2/+6I would hate movies after 123 hours!
- whoaohh, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3Down below
- Firespray1138, on 10/09/2008, -1/+4Good God Hairspray and Moulin Rouge?
- KSUdesigner, on 10/09/2008, -1/+4The key phrase there is "as little as". Everybody is different, so it will take some people longer than that to experience hallucinations. When I was in college I went well beyond 48 hours without sleep and wasn't hallucinating. Eventually I was pretty screwed up, but didn't see hallucinations until about 60+ hours.
- Antixian, on 10/09/2008, -1/+4spank for yourself.
- trdrstv, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3*****, I thought it was 72. I guess I made it after all!
(I collapsed after 68 hours specifically trying to achieve that...) -
