- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -10/+109As a character Bush makes a compelling likable guy. But as President of the United States of America? Ehh not so much. Id drink a beer with him, but thank god these 8 years are over with. Seeing how he hurt this country made me feel like id die an early death from stress just knowing hes in charge.
- PinkFloydFan, on 09/29/2008, -0/+89Dugg for Talking Heads
- solidus636, on 09/29/2008, -4/+71Josh Brolin's Bush voice is perfect.
- freediverx, on 09/29/2008, -2/+65It's a tragedy.
- luet, on 09/29/2008, -5/+63Probably because he's not an actual *****, just a terrible choice of person to give loads of power to.
- dn11, on 09/29/2008, -1/+52dugg for slow motion pretzel scene
- JasonHaley, on 09/29/2008, -4/+49"And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? ...am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
My god!...what have I done? "
Bush hasn't asked himself the last line of the song yet...hopefully, one day he will. - Wronghead, on 09/29/2008, -17/+61I haven't been able to turn on my ***** television without seeing that ***** face for eight years.
Now I am going to pay money to see a movie about him?
Are you ***** me? - bleutuna, on 09/29/2008, -0/+34Most appropriate use of a song in a trailer in the history of all movie trailers. Fantastic :p
- lofi4life, on 09/29/2008, -5/+37Explain the success in Iraq. The war was illegal, no weapons if mass destruction were found, George Bush knowingly lied to the world to further his own agenda. This is not a matter of opinion but fact. The war was extremely successful form the point of view of oil companies, weapons manufacturers and Islamic fundamentalists seeking to take power and recruit more young impressionable displaced Muslims. The only argument you have is "libtard" and we've heard that one before. Bush is a criminal and an idiot. He is anti-american as he lied to his people and sent troops to die for his own advantage. He is taking you for a ride and you are too stupid to see it.
- MOates, on 09/29/2008, -8/+37Finally a movie I actually want to see.
- dema, on 09/29/2008, -7/+32LOL @ "success" in Iraq.
- frostbyt, on 09/29/2008, -1/+26Looks like a horror film to me.
- casbboy, on 09/29/2008, -7/+29Where does the film spend most its time? On Bush's early years or time in office? Pretty cool how they age Josh Brolin. (Surprisingly) perfect casting.
- threon, on 09/29/2008, -0/+22Reminds me of the Titanic. I already know how it ends.
- Tralobyte, on 09/29/2008, -0/+21Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9SOVzMV2bc
- beejay54, on 09/29/2008, -8/+25I know you guys don't like him, but you can't honestly believe he's the source of all your problems. It's not his fault that your friends didn't read the terms on their home loan, and it's not like he's making decisions about Iraq or Afghanistan all by himself. I mean, yeah he fumbles a bit in a position that requires him to be beyond human and made some calls that people don't like, but it's not like changing out the man in charge is going to have a dramatic effect on what happens. Remember that it's still a democracy and the laws are passed by the collective government, not just the individual. Just saying. Because I think I would want to kill myself if I found out Hollywood made a movie made about my lifes work and how much a failure I am. I mean, like common, that's just a little too much for even my very liberal taste.
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -12/+28That is incorrect. A cursory examination of his life and actions reveals that, yes, he is an actual *****.
This is not unusual, he's a politician. - nunquam, on 09/29/2008, -3/+19Thandie Newton as Condoleezza Rice FTW!
- SoulDrift404, on 09/29/2008, -2/+17How did the right wing moonbats spend the 8 years after Clinton left office?
They forgave and forgot immediately, right?
I didn't think so. - dstntmbrk, on 09/29/2008, -1/+15once in a lifetime makes anything better.
- nexmachina, on 09/29/2008, -2/+16LOLERSKATES i ride on everyday! People don't bitch unless there is a reason to bitch. Unlike the right-wing nut jobs. We (as americans) actually have a VIABLE reason to bitch. Not just some blowjob in the Oval office... There are lives being lost, and the economy getting destroyed.
- evil-doer, on 09/29/2008, -1/+14the last line of the song? so he hasnt asked himself "same as it ever was" yet?
- dafragsta, on 09/29/2008, -5/+18You guys just don't give an inch do you? The surge isn't working. EVERYONE on both sides of the aisle conceded that it was, but it only looks to be a temporary thing. Just wait until we leave Iraq. Oh, but then you won't care who's right or wrong anymore.
Anyone who still supports Bush at this point is a ***** host for some neocon virus anymore. They can't possibly be human beings. - Chrysalii, on 09/29/2008, -1/+13the same way
- ff4marvel, on 09/29/2008, -0/+11would have just had cheney then :/
- bleutuna, on 09/29/2008, -0/+11Uh...Primary Colors anyone?
- casbboy, on 09/29/2008, -5/+15I still find it strange that Lionsgate felt the need to release two trailers unannounced. This second version definitely shows a ton more from the film.
- lovek, on 09/29/2008, -0/+10In fact, I think a Clinton movie done in this style would be hilarious.
- TheDeuce53, on 09/29/2008, -3/+13your name is "nospinhere"
you lose all credibility. - casbboy, on 09/29/2008, -0/+9mockumentary
- jerryterhorst, on 09/29/2008, -2/+11i think they mean that ironically. the thing is, liberals are probably more likely to not give a ***** about being lampooned and made fun of, whereas conservatives would probably take you to court over it. if that movie about clinton came out, id think it would be hilarious and i wouldnt complain one bit.
- arapro, on 09/29/2008, -0/+9(not to be associated with Goodfellas)
- Homerr, on 09/29/2008, -2/+11The real tragedy is that the pretzel popped out.
- techguru2006, on 09/29/2008, -13/+222nd trailer = much better than the first. I'm sure this movie will do much better for Elizabeth Banks' career than Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
- dn11, on 09/29/2008, -0/+9Oliver Stone makes movies, not documentaries.
- charlietuna, on 09/29/2008, -2/+10This is the dream movie for every anti war / anti Bush... Liberal, Libertarian and moderate. Until now there was no salve to soothe my loathing of this administration. Oliver Stone's surreal righteous rants are just what I need.
@nickymous: at some point a truly detestable person passes that point where even rational minded people demand accuracy. I see nobody demanding equal time from Hitler sympathizers when it comes to biographies like "The Bunker". The difference between a simpleton like Bush and a simpleton like Reagan are subtle but important. Reagan pulled out of Lebanon rather than bomb the place, and try as he might Reagan didn't manage to wreck the economy. A Simpsons quote is called for: Worst. President. Ever. - pistonhonda, on 09/29/2008, -0/+8I think it's actually supposed to be a porno.
- HyphySoul, on 09/29/2008, -3/+11Wait...I thought this was a drama, is it a comedy? or both?
- bladzalot, on 09/29/2008, -4/+12What the hell? I did not like W as a president, I am glad to see him go, is there any reason I would want to go see him in the theater? Not to mention, this is going to portray W as a completely controversial director wants to portray him, do you really think it is going to be historically correct?
My boss is a middle aged black man with a medium sized business in the Denver area. W came out and had an interview with him last year during black history month. After the interview, the press left, and W sat down with my boss and 3 others and just had a little heart to heart chat. My boss, whom is completely anti W, said that W was one of the nicest, most sincere, down to earth people on the planet. Said he was well spoken, very respectful, and very genuine.
I honestly feel really bad for W, can you imagine going 8 years with the entire world hating you for 6 of those? The guy has completely tarnished his fathers legacy, pushed our country into a terrible place, pissed off the world, and made a mockery of our government. He is a good guy, but he is going to go down in history as the worth think that happened to america since the country was founded.
That says alot... - michrech, on 09/29/2008, -0/+8Ummm.. WHAT?!
- Billistic, on 09/29/2008, -5/+12He's the type of guy you'd like to have on your side. He'd be willing to lie to bail you out of a jam, to some this is charisma.
The problem is, none of us is Bush's friend, his friends do very well, everyone else is a victim of the lies. - shango5, on 09/29/2008, -0/+7just think about the last 8 years and you wouldn't be able to answer that about real life.
- tamman2000, on 09/29/2008, -4/+11Why do people always say that? What is it about him that makes people want to hang out with this guy?
I have never felt that way. I don't like hanging out with spoiled idiots. Clinton is a man I would like to hang out with. Bush seems like the kind a guy I would go to the next bar to avoid... - phogasmic, on 09/29/2008, -0/+6I agree with you. He really seems like a great guy. Easy to hang with, easy to talk too. Obviously he is no dummy, but he was just a horrible leader, some people just should not be in leadership positions,he is one of those people. Thats why his puppeteers put him there.
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -0/+6That's just it: I don't think Bush is evil. I just think he's an incompetent *****-up.
- sx66gns, on 09/29/2008, -1/+7It's truer than the story you'll get from the Bush family , so what is truth , really?
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -1/+6Maybe if they shoot him.
- lofi4life, on 09/29/2008, -4/+9So why did Bush have to lie?
