- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -3/+44I'd rather have Venom have his own movie against spiderman.
- thetestament, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26Venom doesn't look like he's bulky enough....in the comics and stuff, the guy is huge....
- LeFrenzy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26Carnage. Spider-man 4.
- eriksanerd, on 10/12/2007, -7/+26I'm looking forward to an epic 4-way battle between Spidey, Sandman, Harry, and Venom. If I ever wet myself in a theatre, it'll be then.

- DevinOlsen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I'm almost certain it would be nearly impossible to fit another ad onto that page... =(
- spiderland, on 10/12/2007, -5/+15Christ, would you link to the source content please?
SOURCE link (blog): http://www.themovieblog.com/archives/2007/03/spiderman_getting_choked_by_venom.html
From (more pics here): http://www.dvdrama.com/galerie/spider_man_3_ - fugrank, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9You mean the trailer I saw at the movie theater wasn't solid proof?
- Crash1337, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I cant wait to see this movie kick the crap outta Pirates of the Carribean 2 weekend box office record.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Not only has the image already been mirrored like 50 times but you posted a link to a mirror that doesn't even work.
- Tochi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Direct link to the large version of this pic for those too lazy to traverse the site spiderland linked:
http://www.dvdrama.com/imagescrit/H_spider_man_3_46.jpg - SkepticJoker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I don't know whether I should digg Eriksanerd's comment up or down...
I don't disagree with it, it's just.... odd. - UndeadOverlord, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Heres a temp Image Mirror cuz the sites runnin pretty slow
http://i7.tinypic.com/2w5ixp3.jpg - djruden, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah, and Green Goblin didn't drop Gwen Stacy off the bridge and kill her in the first movie. Things change, move on. If you cared that much about the 70's continuity, you shoulda quit watching after the first movie.
- djruden, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4There's a dash in spider-man.
- technoweenie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Actually, Spider-man shoots webs out of his wrists now. Blame it on the Other storyline... See the preview pages at http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazine/wizard/003776072.cfm ...
- blankoboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Classic Electro, Rhino, Lizardman and the Vulture please
- Cab00se, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You guys do realize that this is the origin of venom? this is when Brock is still a youngin and a lot smaller. so stop bitching about him not being ugly CGI huge.
- Bahimiron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Baah, digg me down if you must, I don't care! The opinion of anyone who likes Carnage is worth less than nothing!
There is but one cure for the disease that is liking Kletus Kassidy and that cure is FIRE! - Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I thought Mary Jane being caught in a black web and Peter Parker having a black webline around his neck in the previews was proof enough that there was a good confrontation between Spider-man and Venom.
- tobias1482, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the 616 was in response to the films, though. Either way, Spidey has been sucking since Michelinie left the book. Clones and spider totems... :(
- superdigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2either the wounds are post-production, or there's a secret fourth villain whose power is rubber-spitting.
- leftnut, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4We are all huge nerds
- matriculated, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think it actually makes more sense for him to biologically spin webs rather than having a teenager create web shooters. Mind you if they wanted to go all the way, he'd be shooting webs from his crotch like real spiders.
- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6I wish Hulk would say this just once:
"Don't make me Ang Lee... They won't like me if you make me Ang Lee." - TheTaoOfBill, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4WAAHHHH The movie director didn't tell the story exactly like everyone else does...WAHHHHHH he put his own creativity into it WAAAAHHHH
You would think after the start of the ultimate series which completely redefined the marvel universe people would be a bit used to small changes in the universe. You just gotta think of it as 3 different spiderman universes. 616, Ultimate and Movie - inukki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If Avi Arad and his associates ever to do fresh classic predictable characters, they can easily sell tickets to use sinister six on the sixth (if there ever was one)
And the "picture" of Venom looks weak or pathetic in quality, Will we be seeing characters on high dosage of cgi-noticeable action?
If they don't somehow use Venom to bridge up sm3 and sm4, the anticipation of the final showdown between Spiderman and venom will disappoint all the fans and then we will start to here "I told you so" remarks if they decide to end then return in the 4th of the series or something.
Until then, keep on waiting the the good wait for the future to arrive... - Serapthi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Carnage is more evil but without Venom, there never would've a Carnage
- TheTaoOfBill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's still kinda sketchy and not really an official release...It could easily be photoshopped as well...
I'd be more convinced if this was from a more credable news source. - Hootyea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1DiggMurrir?
- Adunn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't know if you guys have seen the stuff they have over at filmwad, but the suit that Topher is in the arms and legs are freakin massive, and that is before they enhance anything digitally. I think that they are going to have Venom bulk up so to speak during that first encouter and then he will be much bigger when they fight later on in the 4th film.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5I wonder if Part 4 will bring the Sinister 6
- cinnix, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@thetaoofbill
I disagree, the actor who played The Kingpin in Dare Devil was cool (his name slips my mind atm), I woulda picked the same guy myself. I think it will be a disappointment to me if I seen venom with the same height and build as me, the guy needs to be like 8ft :P
Well that's what I think anyway, we'll just wait and see :) - sixdust, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Venom>Spiderman. Now all we need is a Venom Vs. Carnage movie. I'd see that for sure. Maybe a threeway fight?
- ICSU, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Marv looked great.
- contradictator, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3It looks a bit strange, but legit. Venom looks kinda shiny, but otherwise, this only gets me more anxious to see it.
- Dorian822, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This...looks...so...awesome.
WHY GOD, WHY COULDN'T SAM RAIMI had done the NEW SUPERMAN MOVIES?!?!
*falls to the ground in the classic Heston/Planet of the Apes ending position*
WHY!!!!!! - djAnakin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm sure beelz meant to post the big version, not the smaller one:
http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/images/spidermanvsvenombig.jpg
Triffid, I noticed that too. Must be a pre-cg shot. Weird that they would release it though. - slickrate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"The first solid proof of a Spider-Man / Venom confrontation." ??????
Theres a trailer before 300 that is all Venom vs Spider-Man - Stea1th, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I could see changing small details of spiderman...maybe not the same storyline ect ect..but seriously..venom is a HUGE character and has a big following.
When I saw the first shots of venom I thought, he looks a bit small, and this shot further proves it... In my mind and probably others who are spiderman fans
would picture venom muscles popping out with his trade mark mouth wide open something while pulling that black webbing.
Oh well...it will probably still be good. - nadcraker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Spidey got his organic webbing in the story arc "Spiderman Dissassembled," not the Other. The Other gave him even more powers, further ***** him up.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man%27s_powers_and_equipment#Powers_after_.22Disassembled.22_and_.22The_Other.22 - Stea1th, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I thought brock got big BEFORE he got the alien costume. He trained himself to be really strong or something THEN got the costume.
 - discochew, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Venom really needed to be CG. He's too small. He just looks like a black spiderman with a mouth.
- tw0bit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2im glad is not just spiderman in a dark suit, its ACTUALLY vemom
- Serapthi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree to this. Venom could easily been a whole separate movie in itself. There are already two other major villains in the movie already, adding a third seems to be overkill. We already saw what a crapfest X-Men 3 became when they added in all those extra villains along with the Phoenix side story. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case with this movie.
- calvmari, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Piss off. Someone else's vision on another medium.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2theres always another vilain, to keep the never ending series of small minded entertainment going
- sexualaj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Damn It ! Spiderman emo too.
Not you Spidey - technoweenie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Eddie Brock sold the symbiote in an auction to the guy that used to the Scorpion (see Spider-man MK 1-12). Venom now serves on the Thunderbolts, tasked with capturing unregistered superheroes.
- Hootyea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Except Tobey is bitching about having to put the mask on for another movie.
