- Pilot85, on 11/03/2009, -1/+73The prince of Persia
Now with less Persian!
/s - Bic823, on 11/03/2009, -1/+58Honestly, if Jerry Bruckheimer can turn a theme park ride into a pretty good movie, I'm cautiously optimistic about his video game adaptation. Jake Gyllenhaal's no Johnny Depp, though...
- chrismwood, on 11/02/2009, -1/+43I'm really not buying Jake Gyllenhaal in this. Somebody unknown might have been a little more believable. What am I saying? Jerry Bruckheimer, believable movie? Silly me...
- bubbameister33, on 11/03/2009, -0/+38T.V. and movies pretty have me believing that people in the past all talked with English accents and people in the future will talk with English accents.
- betocool, on 11/02/2009, -3/+41I still want a Metroid and Zelda movie
- casspa, on 11/02/2009, -4/+38Seems like they're pretty true to form (the videogame) with this movie. Can't wait to see it.
- mhuggins, on 11/03/2009, -1/+15***** you, best movie ever!
- charliecharlos, on 11/03/2009, -3/+17Blame the Mario Bros. movie.
- BananaGrabber, on 11/03/2009, -0/+13Why are they forcing me to watch a trailer ad to watch another goddamn trailer? They should be grateful that I'm even watching the POP trailer willingly in the first place (which again is essentially another ad) and not ***** annoy me with more ads.
- koldmilk, on 11/03/2009, -0/+10I heard it's coming out the day after Duke Nukem forever.
- W1LS0N, on 11/03/2009, -0/+9would it be better if they sounded like they were from california?
- vic42482, on 11/02/2009, -1/+10Who woulda thought Donny Darko can make it as Prince of Persia

Stupid flash player. - MacHarborGuy, on 11/03/2009, -0/+9i don't think I could deal with a hot blonde in armor not talking for the whole film, EVEN if at the end she was in a bikini.
as for this trailer... i feel like i've watched the movie already. - TheCasablancan, on 11/03/2009, -0/+8He isn't an Arab, he's Persian. Arabs are Semitic, Persians are Indo-Europeans or Aryans. Many people are unaware of this, and that is understandable if you don't meet many other races, but you must have never played any of the games, or even seen a picture of the prince.

- adml_shake, on 11/03/2009, -2/+9Ok, now I'm thinking I might have jumped the gun in my early hate for this movie and it's casting. This looks kind of impressive.
- theDashRendar, on 11/03/2009, -2/+9Maybe they can use the Sands of Time to go back in time and make it not suck as bad next time...
- LBUCHA, on 11/02/2009, -1/+7hubba hubba jake has no blubba
- theghostofme, on 11/03/2009, -1/+7I can't say I'm too impressed with the trailer, nor was I very excited to hear about Gyllenhaal playing the Prince...
...however, I said pretty much the same thing when I saw the trailers for the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie (doesn't look good and I don't care about Orlando Bloom) and boy was I surprised how well that turned out.
So, I'm cautiously optimistic about this. I think Gyllenhaal is an incredible actor, but I just can't seem to wrap my head around him in this role. Sider-Man? Yes. Prince of Persia? Not so much. - boo3710, on 11/03/2009, -0/+6The porno?
- EvanVolm, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5He sure likes going back in time...
- ManUnitdFan, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5I don't see how that's sarcasm.
- Amadeus2490, on 11/03/2009, -3/+8I think a Metroid and Aliens crossover movie would be ***** awesome if James Cameron were involved.
- Taiyoryu, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5Is it really that hard to find an english speaking, middle eastern lead? For all the realism that CG tries to portray, the least Hollywood could do is do some believable casting.
- end3rthe3rd, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5Whenever I see Jake Gyllenhaal in this trailer I think of this article and go >:(
http://digg.com/d3NshN - wrathbone, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5needs more uwe boll
- sauron256, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4I wonder if they'll do what they did in the DOOM movie, and have 5 minutes where it's all filmed like a platformer aka the first PoP game. :-)
- kenjura, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4It plays movies. Didn't wax my balls, but it played the flick.
- kenjura, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4Do yourself a favor and play the game. You're missing out.
- RedSepher, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4Doesn't it look like they combined the 3 games, the 2 good and the 1 that made everyone a bit angsty, into one glorious movie?
- numberneal, on 11/02/2009, -4/+8sick!
- laponsa, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4Fresh Prince of Persia
- ivaldes047, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3they really should have cast somebody that looks more like they're from that region. Not someone with blue eyes.
- hpodity, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3I think the whimsical humour was jake stumbling over his words when farrah called him out on oggling her.
- Coffeedemon, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3Don't worry... I'm sure they'll have some people from the region. They'll be goofy comic-relief and evil henchman parts though.
- OvrDrvnNvce, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3I agree the story in the game was great, but it probably wouldn't translate well into film. In the game you're pretty much alone (save for Farrah) and I imagine this would terribly boring in a movie. A few people could probably pull it off very well, Jerry Bruckheimer is not one of them.
- MarkBrent, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3There's even the wall leapings! Can't get truer than that.
- LarkStew, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3They'll definitely have big wooden wheels he has to turn to open doors and things.
- Akaziel, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3Zelda is quite possibly my favorite game series of all time. I remember being eight years old, waking up at 5am so I could play the original LOZ just for a little while before having to get ready for school.
That said, I don't think I WANT a Zelda movie. I just don't think it'd translate well to film. I think it'd wind up being cheesy as hell. I've seen a lot of the fan films out there and honestly apart from The Legend Of Neil (which is straight parody) I just didn't like any of them. I mean I appreciated them for what they were, but I just don't think you could really capture the magic of The Legend Of Zelda in a film. - Taiyoryu, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3Except for Firefly, where everyone is bilingual, speaking (mostly American) English and swear in (mangled) Chinese.
- protonone, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3I really hope this movie is good and makes a ton of money, so we can see some good game to film adaptations.
- snipe123, on 11/02/2009, -1/+4too good to be true ! i must be sleeping (reinstaling the game tonight )
- mister331, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3Dare I say it, but it doesn't look half bad. Reminds me of Pirates of the Carribean a bit.
- r3m1x645, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3this movie's gonna be like 6 hours long with all the rewinds.
- jon02129, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2I was thinking more of Bubble Boy.
YOU WANT, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAH? - Raidy11Moon, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2prepare to be bombarded by the sequels and prequels to this movie if it is successful
- Shinku3, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2I don't know, I've always worried that someone will misrepresent Link. Anyway, there is already a Zelda movie! Remember? "Legend"
- bakatrinh, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2Elijah Wood as Link!
