- TEHxINTERWEBS, on 07/09/2008, -0/+32I could never build that when I was a kid. My LEGO set didn't come with enough gray pieces, all my LEGO houses had at like 20 different colors on the wall.
- LoudMusic, on 07/09/2008, -0/+15Gizmodo reader, "I want you to ask the Lego gang for the definitive answer on the plural for Lego bricks. Is it, as we Brits say, simply Lego, or is it, as some Americans insist, Legos?"
Lego representative, "Actually both the Brits and the Americans are wrong—but are all forgiven! “Lego” is an adjective and is not meant to be a standalone name. It should always be Lego bricks, Lego building, Lego products, etc."
"Lego" should be used as an adjective.
LEGO BRICKS. Not Legos, or Lego.
Neat Lego models. - freebird09, on 07/08/2008, -0/+9But where's the secret rear entrance?
- GlitchEnzo, on 07/09/2008, -0/+7Actually neither are correct. The official stance from LEGO is that they should be called LEGO bricks.

LEGO pluralized is still LEGO, not LEGOS - serif69, on 07/09/2008, -1/+8That is one of the saddest stories I've ever read on digg.
- smackydoodle, on 07/09/2008, -0/+7Periods of art: Egyptian, classical, renaissance, baroque, cubism, modern, contemporary, lego

Way to put in detail. - inactive, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4My roofs seemed to collapse a lot as well.
- Neoanarchist, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4I say LEGOs the same reason I pronounce Porsche without the 'uh' at the end. I just don't care enough, and saying both of the above brands with their proper pronunciation sounds retarded to me. However, that is probably because I live in America and hear them pronounced that way all the time. So, for me personally, it comes down to cultural conditioning and lethargy.
I also adamantly refuse to pronounce Jaguar like JAG-YOU-ARE...so ***** stupid. - FoxOrian, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4Aren't there TIE fighters flying in atmospheric planets of almost EVERY star wars / rogue squadron game?
- FoxOrian, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4Some people have that problem as a kid,
then when they build a house for themselves when they get older, still have that same problem.
http://www.northshoremag.com/graphics/images/03-06 ... - captainaviator, on 07/09/2008, -1/+4who needs a girlfriend when you have LEGOs!
- theotheragentm, on 07/09/2008, -0/+3It's not a secret. She just won't allow us access to it.
- Jmn187, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2This is cool. It will most likely last forever and kill some poor fish somewhere when they ingest it looking for food. But it cant be that bad. It think I ate a Lego ounce :P
- MattFid, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2Let's not forget the public ridicule an American would receive for saying al-YOU-mini-um.
It's uh-LOOM-in-um. Deal with it, we won the war. - 801NvizioN, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2They've done well if you can't see it.
- andy2125, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2regardless of color of my LEGOs, I still don't think I could have built that.
- theboozer, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2Wow! I'm lovin' how the dude miniaturized the Lego scale so he could in essence make a Playset for the vehicles. That's damn proper.
- gordonp, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2What about Bespin? Cloud City is certainly in an atmosphere.
And I don't think it was just a shield around the landing pads. Luke was breathing something while hanging from that weathervane. - billbugger, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2Like to "google something", "i need a bandaid", "i'll have a coke"
- billbugger, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2You need a few months of commitment and loob for that entrance.
- boshuda, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2Since there is an identical Tie Factory in one of the early Rogue Squadron comics, I suggest you take it up with Lucasflm, o Dark Horse.
Tell them they messed up. - MCA2142, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Something Something Something DARK SIDE.
Something Something Something COMPLETE - houndeyex, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1That has nothing to do with anything.
- blorguehad, on 07/09/2008, -1/+2Phenomenal work. This almost makes me want to search through boxes to find my old legos XD
- djAnakin, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1Yet you have time to comment on it all. Hypocrite.
So do I, but I know I have too much time on my hands. - theadvinci, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Some people have too much time and money on their hands.
- OpCzar, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1For some reason, it reminded me of Sonic:

- jcellan, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0When I was a kid, all I did was make a tower. That imperial base doesn't look the same but then it still looks good!
- hydroplane, on 07/09/2008, -2/+2Imperial troops have entered the base

http://youtube.com/watch?v=AYHavS9kSIA - leerayIG88, on 07/09/2008, -2/+2One time I made a pirate space ship from LEGOs. Then my friend broke it....*sigh*
- Steinr, on 07/09/2008, -3/+2The whole set is pretty genius. I am just waiting for someone to recreate the entire Lego Star Wars GAME in actual lego pieces.
- kjturner71, on 07/09/2008, -3/+1Attn: Americans...from the Lego Wikipedia entry..
The Lego Group's name has become so synonymous with its flagship toy that many refer to the bricks themselves (collectively) as "Lego" or "Legos" (the latter term being common only in US English), although the Lego Group considers such uses to be trademark dilution. Lego catalogues in the 1970s and 1980s contained a note that read: "The word LEGO® is a brand name and is very special to all of us in the LEGO Group Companies. We would sincerely like your help in keeping it special. Please always refer to our bricks as 'LEGO Bricks or Toys' and not 'LEGOS.' By doing so, you will be helping to protect and preserve a brand of which we are very proud and that stands for quality the world over. Thank you! Susan Williams, Consumer Services." - antlerboy, on 07/09/2008, -4/+2was the "(PICS)" necessary? i wasn't really expecting to read a couple paragraphs on a description of the thing.
nice, though. - noahhoward, on 07/09/2008, -3/+1"what i find odd is its only americans that say legos. what is it in their language/culture/whatever that makes them say legos? "
Bastardisation of the English language. - inactive, on 07/09/2008, -2/+0buried, sick of lego spam
- kconnors, on 07/09/2008, -4/+1I am hoping that this Lego creation was made by a kid. I mean get a life.
- postalblowfish7, on 07/09/2008, -11/+8MrBabyMan = bury. i'm ***** tired of digg being gamed.
- evil-doer, on 07/09/2008, -5/+1what i find odd is its only americans that say legos. what is it in their language/culture/whatever that makes them say legos? even in canada which is so much like the states ive NEVER heard anyone say legos
- DeFex, on 07/09/2008, -5/+1They believe they are right when they are wrong. even if you tell them, show them, prove to them they are wrong they still believe they are right.
or
They know they are wrong and are proud to be ignorant
or
They know they are wrong and keep saying LEGOs because they like to annoy you.
take your pick, i cant decide. - pandorazboxx, on 07/09/2008, -7/+1TIE fighters cannot fly in atmosphere. totally ridiculous to have a tie fighter hanger and an AT-AT garage.
