- rocknog, on 07/07/2009, -0/+46Today's money-saving tip: whenever you're tempted to spend money on frivolous things, stop and consider how much bacon you could purchase with that money.
- chrismwood, on 07/07/2009, -3/+48Good god, it's $11 to go to the movies now? That's like 3 lbs of bacon!
- inactive, on 07/07/2009, -4/+28Disappointed it ain't bad enough? Simple solution: go see Transformers 2. Disappointment guaranteed.
- mattmacneil, on 07/07/2009, -1/+23The Onion always brings a tear to my eye.
- TugOSpiegel, on 07/07/2009, -1/+18when you put it that way, ***** the movies!
- AmyVernon, on 07/07/2009, -0/+17I've actually felt that way before. I mean, if a movie's gonna be bad, make it BAD. MST3K bad.
- rocknog, on 07/07/2009, -0/+14Spy sappin' mah expectations!
Wait, wrong TF2. - AndrewDB, on 07/07/2009, -3/+15He should have seen Transformers 2..
Right everyone? - ryansmith18, on 07/07/2009, -0/+12...there's a Team Fortress 2 movie now...?
- dalittle, on 07/07/2009, -0/+7Actually, that give me a great idea. They should have Travolta play a scientology nutjob gone bad. That would be worth watching.

- MrOminous, on 07/07/2009, -0/+5Wait- Digg is free? Then who am I giving $10 a month?
- zip000, on 07/07/2009, -0/+5Why would you want to do that? The onion's story ideas are awesomely funny most of the time. The actual articles are sometimes not that funny, but the concept is almost always great.
Also, I can usually tell when an article is from the onion without even having to check; can't you? - forcedfx, on 07/07/2009, -0/+4Anything with Shia Lebouf or whatever his name is, is guaranteed to suck.
- migitalwarfare, on 07/07/2009, -0/+4Good argument, I'm sure digg employees are scrambling to fix this injustice so that you can be completely satisfied with your free membership to digg.com
- Ben174, on 07/07/2009, -0/+4Unfortunately I've tried this method and it's not too effective for money-saving. After the thought has crossed my mind, I always end up and just buying the bacon instead.
- rolf, on 07/07/2009, -0/+4Sometimes there are movies worth watching because they are so bad that they're funny/entertaining. It's really the ones between that and mediocre that suck - not good enough to watch and not bad enough to laugh at.
- ShiftyBizniss, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3Mystery Science Theatre 3000.... is awesome btw
- rocknog, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2I used to have a problem mistaking Onion articles for legitimate news. Lately though, it seems I've had more of a problem mistaking legitimate news for Onion articles.
- sodoh, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2Pelham 1-2-3 is an OK movie if you haven't seen the original movie.
- inactive, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2shut up with the shutting off your brain line. you can make a good action movie with a good story.
- liberalidiot, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2So nobody remembers the Catwoman Onion article?
- echris, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2He should watch an Uwe Boll movie
- donkevin, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2I liked Eagle Eye. And Indiana Jones 4. The former more than the latter.
- rocknog, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2But Ben174, don't you see, it has worked. After all, bacon is never a frivolous purchase, and so you have saved yourself from throwing your money away.
- timothiuz, on 07/07/2009, -2/+3I thought the movie was alright...
- Black6x, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1It's $12+ in NYC. However, you can get movie vouchers through BJs or a work program that drops it down to about $7.
- adminmatt, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1the original with Walter Matthau was better
- zip000, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1I remember being really hyped about Leonard Part 6 when I was a kid...I went to see it in the theater even! Man. Good times.
- inactive, on 07/07/2009, -1/+2Get out of here you lockness monster
- acitodg, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1Haha, pretty funny.
- flamesrule, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1it was a bad movie, the story was under developed and the swearing was awful. I'm all for language if it fits the scene but they were doing it for shock or for fun which helped ruin it. I hope Denzel chooses his movies better in the future. You expect this crap from Travolta but not Denzel.
- broncfan23, on 07/07/2009, -2/+3about chree-fitty
- RandyTheFool, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1Manos, The Hands of Fate bad?
I wouldn't wish that job upon any actor, director, producer, studio to create such trash. And if it were made, I wouldn't put a person through actually watching it... unless they're on the satellite of love and can make me laugh in the process.. - jstem1994, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1The original has been on my Netflix list for a month with "Long Wait". I'm guessing the remake will not be.
- sgmeyer, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1... because it was 'humorous".
- lowdose, on 07/07/2009, -3/+3Everything should be measured in pounds of bacon!
- Xenon2434, on 07/07/2009, -0/+0Hey, how can the Matrix of Leadership be disappointing? That was like the coolest name ever!
- CaviMike, on 07/07/2009, -3/+3Who the ***** wishes a movie will suck and wants to waste their...oh, it's the Onion.
- jdgray, on 07/07/2009, -0/+0Indian Jones 4 was a horrible movie.
- RandyTheFool, on 07/07/2009, -0/+0Wait... so bacon isn't the international currency of planet Earth?
Weird, I just filled my car with gas this morning for only a pound and a half of bacon. - DarkBlueAnt, on 07/07/2009, -1/+1Transformers 2 was the perfect movie for shutting off your brain. All your brain had to do was keep track of how many faces Optimus ripped off.
- Sherman901, on 07/07/2009, -1/+1What gave it away?
- keysmachine, on 07/09/2009, -0/+0i hope one day i can make huge blockbuster flops in the the tune of 200+ million dollars made and counting. if only..
- rootsm3, on 07/07/2009, -2/+1Huh?
- inkubusfan, on 07/07/2009, -4/+2i see what you did there.
- farmertomato, on 07/07/2009, -3/+1Spare us from the morons who post stories from the Onion. Do they think they're clever for "finding" this? Auto-buried.
- Hetman, on 07/07/2009, -3/+1To be fair Phelem 123 is an all right movie. It is weird seeing travolta try to play a catholic these days. However it was still entertaining.
- unknamed, on 07/07/2009, -6/+2GOD DAMMIT... STOP ALREADY!!!
- noclips, on 07/07/2009, -6/+1is there a way to hide stories that link to the onion?
