- DemDude, on 08/27/2008, -6/+137Hi, I'm a German, and I speak on behalf of all of Germany when I say:
We are very, very sorry. We weren't able to contain the awfulness that is Uwe Boll.
We apologise for the agonising torture he has put the uninformed movie-goers through.
We don't know how we can compensate mankind for what happened, we don't even know how it could happen in the first place.
Again, our sincerest apologies.
The Germans. - SchrodingersCar, on 08/27/2008, -6/+108I think we can all agree that this is the worst thing the Germans have ever done.
- outlawbebop, on 08/27/2008, -3/+78sweet lord jebus in heaven. that chick in the front's ass ate her thong. ftw
- ghank, on 08/26/2008, -9/+82An Uwe Boll film not worth the time???
Color me surprised. - BlaqReaper, on 08/27/2008, -2/+70When asked what he learned from his disastrous experience with Alone in the Dark (2005): "That a script matters." -Imdb.com
You know what's sad? It took him 9 movies to learn that. - lektroluv, on 08/27/2008, -8/+65I can't watch this..
..don't want to spoil it before I see it on the big screen! - t3hmyth, on 08/26/2008, -17/+71I have more self-respect than to watch that.
- rsuri2, on 08/27/2008, -0/+47I'm conflicted. I want to bury this for the video clip of the film. But, I'll probably digg it for the great picture at the top of the article.
- blogosphear, on 08/27/2008, -0/+44Would anyone agree that this movie is actually better than the Epic/Disaster/Genre Movies?
- MaynardJK, on 08/27/2008, -0/+39@Fozefy
That is precisely why it is funny dumbass. - Jubalint, on 08/27/2008, -5/+42Actually the initial part with the terrorists in the plane was pretty good. Not laugh out loud funny, but it defiantly has some Mel Brooks style humor going on. Generally I hate Uwe Boll as much as the next gamer, but he's almost bad in the Plan 9 From Outer Space kind of bad. I'm not going to discredit and ignore the movie just because his name is stamped all over it. Might be a fun watch for a late night with some stoned friends :).
- luke16, on 08/27/2008, -0/+35At least he's a nice person...
http://revver.com/video/913811/an-interview-with-u ... - hadiz, on 08/27/2008, -1/+33At least you'll have the theater to yourself.
- OptionalPirate, on 08/27/2008, -0/+29Uwe Boll: one-upping the Holocaust since 1991.
- blogosphear, on 08/27/2008, -5/+344CHAN: THE MOVIE
- OneLess, on 08/27/2008, -0/+27You could start with...free BMWs?
- arobar, on 08/27/2008, -0/+23Whoosh!
- LoganVH, on 08/27/2008, -2/+25The first 3 minutes are actually good enough to be released into the mainstream. Not saying much, but this is Uwe Boll here.
- Jforsyth89, on 08/27/2008, -0/+22Jesus Christ, that was the entire joke.
- Condemned, on 08/27/2008, -5/+25"***** thing sucks!"
- luckydeck, on 08/27/2008, -1/+20I have no agenda and am not trying to frustrate anyone, but I gotta say: that wasn't nearly as bad as I'd been led to believe. I'm not saying it was good ... but it was sure better than most of the ***** on TV. I'd even say I'd rather sit through the whole movie rather than have to see the last theatre film I saw; Journey to the Centre of the Earth (niece's choice.. not mine).
- bnl771, on 08/27/2008, -0/+19Saw this at Fantastic Fest last year. The best part was Uwe and Zack Ward ***** belittling the audience. Movie sucked. Q&A RULED.
- BaldMonkey, on 08/27/2008, -0/+19A loophole in the German Tax laws that allows the investors to write off 100% of the film budget if the movie is a flop.
- merrickx, on 08/27/2008, -0/+18Seriously, we forgave you for WWII what with the depression and all but you can never un-do Boll.
- Four20, on 08/27/2008, -4/+21Even though the first few minutes of this movie has it's funny moments. . .it's HORRIBLE.
It's sad to see the bully from 'The Christmas Story' has lowered himself to this. . .I just hope the paycheck was worth it. - ghostlywind, on 08/27/2008, -2/+18For some reason i get errors from adobe flash player 9, maybe this clip is so ***** that flash player doesn't want me to see it. I thank you flash player for saving my life.
- estacado, on 08/27/2008, -1/+17Actually, of all his movies, this one is his best. The nature of the movie complements his movie making style.
- Shabonkerz, on 08/27/2008, -2/+18The only decent part is the first 3 minutes.
- gbates31, on 08/27/2008, -1/+16I've seen Uwe Boll's movie adaptation of Postal. It's actually pretty good. Don't let his previous movies repel you from seeing this one!
- sodade, on 08/27/2008, -8/+23I am very confused here. I've never really heard of this guy, but I watched the first two mins of this and thought it was ***** hilarious. Are people just blindly dissing the guy because he's made some bad movies before?
- Br3ach, on 08/27/2008, -0/+15I just want to know what idiots keep giving him money to keep making his craptacular films
- gberkshire, on 08/27/2008, -14/+29Even 11 minutes is way too much of that garbage, especially since that probably includes the Dave Foley nude scene! (No way am I clicking to find out for sure...I already saw the whole horrible thing.)
- NinjaPirateDude, on 08/27/2008, -0/+14hey, do you know David Hasslehoff?
- otto989, on 08/27/2008, -2/+15who the hell keeps funding this guy?
- estacado, on 08/27/2008, -0/+13I agree.
- DemDude, on 08/27/2008, -0/+13Of course I do! In fact, I'm the guy that introduced him to single malt and midnight burger parties.
- otto989, on 08/27/2008, -0/+11holy ***** this guy has one hell of a great wikipedia page.

"Critic Boxing Matches (Raging Boll)
Boll made headlines by challenging his critics to 'put up or shut up'. In June 2006, his production company issued a press release stating that Boll would challenge his five harshest critics each to a 10 round boxing match. Invitations were also open to film directors Quentin Tarantino and Roger Avary."
and he beat all five of them, including an amateur boxer... - mstrebe, on 08/27/2008, -0/+11I don't know anything about Uwe Boll, but that was actually somewhat funny.
- CoreyTamas, on 08/27/2008, -0/+11Don't feel too bad, my friend; my country gave the world Bryan Adams.
- merripen, on 08/27/2008, -0/+11I saw Postal a few months back, and confidently said at the time that it is Boll's finest film to date. It's also absolutely terrible, and pathetic in its attempts to be either humorous or offensive.
Shortly after, I saw Tunnel Rats, which changed the first part of that statement. The second holds strong. - estacado, on 08/27/2008, -0/+11According to the movie, Nazi gold money. He parodies himself quite good in the movie.
- DemDude, on 08/27/2008, -0/+11A couple of german film funds pay for his movies, some of these funds are actually filled by german tax money.
Call me dramatic, but I think that if this keeps going on, Berlin will burn. - ghank, on 08/27/2008, -1/+12Wait....WHAT??? You watched Meet the Spartans and Epic Movie?
I'm sorry to inform you, but your opinions on anything and everything are completely worthless from this day forward. - sodade, on 08/27/2008, -3/+14OK, I watched the rest and I still think it was decently funny. I mean, how can you go wrong making fun of terrorists and trailer parks in the same movie? I'd netflix it.
- kawstick, on 08/27/2008, -0/+10If you go to an Uwe Boll movie and expect it to be good you deserve to lose that money.
- DinX, on 08/27/2008, -0/+10Uhm, not entirely. According to the wiki:
In the DVD commentary of Alone in the Dark, Boll explains how he funds his films:
"Maybe you know it but it's not so easy to finance movies in total. And the reason I am able to do these kind of movies is I have a tax shelter fund in Germany, and if you invest in a movie in Germany you get basically fifty percent back from the Government."
Boll is able to acquire funding thanks to German tax laws that reward investments in film. The law allows investors in German-owned films to write off 100% of their investment as a tax deduction; it also allows them to invest borrowed money and write off any fees associated with the loan. The investor is then only required to pay taxes on the profits made by the movie; if the movie loses money, the investor gets a tax writeoff. - BenKenobi88, on 08/27/2008, -1/+11I figured you were kidding...since he tends to be a douche all the time. I kinda feel sorry for him after that video...I still don't like his movies though.
- CoreyTamas, on 08/27/2008, -1/+10"Some"?
- gunderoo, on 08/27/2008, -0/+9i laughed plenty of times. think for yourselves, people.
- fluxion, on 08/28/2008, -0/+8damn, it's not as fun when they guy you're ripping on is an okay dude
