- doublefelix, on 01/06/2009, -0/+21I am really looking forward to seeing this movie, and not just for another opportunity to see Marisa Tomei naked.
- Spoonicus, on 01/06/2009, -0/+20I think someone pressed Ctrl+V one to many times
- rdhogan7713, on 01/06/2009, -1/+14One of the few movies I want to see, although Rourke looks like an alien.
- doubleplus, on 01/06/2009, -0/+11Marisa Tomei is naked in this movie? I REALLY want to see it now, unless Rourke is naked in the same scene, then I'd vomit popcorn and chocolate all over the row in front of me. Seriously.
- honeymustardn, on 01/06/2009, -1/+11Saw it a week or so ago. Easily the best film of 2008.
- partysan, on 01/06/2009, -0/+7I don't think I read that right the first time. Can you type it up again?
- solid12345, on 01/06/2009, -0/+7Anyone read the story where allegedly Rourke took it to Sean Penn for being a big homophobe and just playing Harvey Milk to get an oscar? Guy isn't afraid to speak his mind.
- Twisted871, on 01/06/2009, -0/+7It's amazing, Rourke gives one of the best performances I've ever seen.
- davincid, on 01/06/2009, -0/+6I thought it was a good article.
I thought it was a good article. - Shakermaker, on 01/06/2009, -0/+5That movie was brilliant, and his performace was incredible and heart-wrenching. He is a shoe-in for the best actor Oscar.
- Laura201, on 01/06/2009, -1/+6Man, all the respect for this guy. He's like what, 108?
- mface, on 01/06/2009, -1/+5Best movie i've seen in a while.
Not that Aronofsky likes to disappoint. - inactive, on 01/06/2009, -0/+3he was AWESOME!!! and i did like the movie too. and ya he was AWESOME!!!
- sumeetg, on 01/06/2009, -0/+3Just saw it, very powerful performance.
- ButchersBoy, on 01/06/2009, -0/+3Bring on the UK release date!!! I love January, the summer and Christmas blockbusters are done, and it's shameful Oscar ball-licking time...but it means there are plenty of good movies at the cinema.
- inactive, on 01/06/2009, -0/+3You don't have to worry, Marisa Tomei is just naked in her stripper scenes
- Nhoji, on 01/06/2009, -0/+3Watch it and tell me you wouldnt go have a beer with the Ram if he was in your town.
Rourke makes a lovable ***** up. - fgump, on 01/06/2009, -0/+2I thought I lost my spot on the page while reading and then noticed the article repeats itself halfway down.
- estacado, on 01/06/2009, -0/+2There is something so very wrong about his face.
- superflydugg, on 01/06/2009, -0/+2he was AWESOME!!! i didn't like the movie though. but he was AWESOME!!!!
- 83JB, on 01/09/2009, -0/+2The Wrestler is a superb piece of work. I have seen it 3 times now and it has stuck with me for days. You don't have to be a fan of wrestling to appreciate this film. Rourke definitely deserves an oscar for his amazing performance in this one.
- BeShirtHappy, on 01/06/2009, -0/+2I know... his face does not look natrual. Looks like a good movie though.
- Nitelite, on 01/06/2009, -0/+2Here's a couple links if anyone is interested:

http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/200 ... - moebis, on 01/06/2009, -0/+2Very good movie. I have to think Rourke was playing himself, because his performance was one of the most convincing I've ever seen.
- cfuse, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2Wow, vomiting and a boner at the same time!
- GeddyLee24, on 01/06/2009, -0/+2I love that crazy bastard.
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2kinda sad the screener was available on torrent sites for like 3 weeks now... great movie! very sad and real.
- seanovan, on 01/06/2009, -2/+3First, his face is the result of a bad facelift.
Second, the movie is watchable and entertaining if you are into wrestling, but it's no masterpiece, it's not much of a stretch for a washed-up actor to play a washed-up wrestler. 6 out of 10.
Watch Slumdog Millionaire, Gran Torino, Changeling, Frost/Nixon or Che el Argentino over this mediocre movie. - h0ser, on 01/06/2009, -1/+2i've never liked this guy. He just seems like a big depressed oaf. His mouth hardly moves when he speaks and he looks like he's taken steroids for the majority of his life. I don't see how a movie about a wrestler can make it big, but apparently if something has enough hype, people will buy into the *****.
- desken, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1Great movie and performance. Ok everyone he looks weird, we get it -- 'nuff said.
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -1/+2The guys apparently a real ***** and has alot of jealousy issues with other people in the acting biz. For instance on Sin City he refused to be on the set at the same time as Bruce Willis. I saw him on Letterman promoting the wrestler and he's got long hair now with highlights and looks like a fruit.
- inactive, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1The TRS guys gave this a great review. They usually don't steer me wrong. Plus, Aronofsky has a nice track record thus far.
- skunkTiddies, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1The dude was better lookin' as Marv in Sin City, and he's using his real face for this film. Hey Mickey, stick to playing scum bags and psycho baddies. It's gut-wrenching to see you doing something beautiful. The last time was in Barfly, where he played Bukowski.
- superflydugg, on 01/18/2009, -0/+1nope, movie sucked.
- catfish182, on 01/08/2009, -1/+2The film was a fantastic film and the insight that it provides to the backstage of professional wrestling is really interesting.
I liked Tomei in this but damn did she play a real bitch or what? - AliceWonderwoma, on 09/28/2009, -0/+0I loved the movie! Actually the director, Darren Aronofsky is one of my favorite directors. He directed also 'Requiem for a Dream' and 'The Fountain'. Good movies!
As for the M. Rourke... that was one of the best comabacks he could have... considerring his... new look. :)
http://www.bestdallascarpetcleaning.com/ - anon12, on 01/06/2009, -2/+2They repeated the entire article. /facepalm
- altamesa, on 01/13/2009, -0/+0I haven.t seen the movie yet but if Mickey Rourke is finally nominated to Oscar please tell him to dress up in a much better way than he did yesterday at the Golden Globe,he left behind his Harley Davidson outside the Beverly Hills Hotel.
