- zdiddy85, on 02/10/2008, -2/+84Wow I could of swore I dugg this two days ago..
- nik0n, on 02/10/2008, -10/+72I'm really just hoping my scrubs will be back.
- jerryterhorst, on 02/10/2008, -0/+49my bittorrent program has been so lonely lately... please reunite it and its friends.
- NightVortez, on 02/10/2008, -1/+46I would like to see some of the energy of Conan and Colbert still remain after the writers come back.
I thought the shows were much better without them. - vondrak, on 02/10/2008, -1/+39I think you meant "jumped the gun". Jumping the shark is when a tv series really hits rock bottom and will be over soon.
- FENWAYFREAK, on 02/10/2008, -2/+26Scrubs has about 10 new episodes. NBC for some reason isn't airing them as scheduled. But i agree, i love me some scrubs.
- stellarceltic, on 02/10/2008, -2/+22Yeah... screw them for wanting fair compensation for their work... bastards...
- TheIguana, on 02/10/2008, -1/+19*waits for it* And in other news, SAG, the screen actors guild has announced they are going on strike!
- zeptobyte, on 02/10/2008, -1/+18The expression is "jumped the gun". "Jumping the shark" refers to something entirely different (a television show entering the downhill slide eventually leading to its demise).
- Prombar, on 02/10/2008, -3/+20finally
the office is back - inactive, on 02/10/2008, -5/+22So Lost,Heroes,House,The Office, and Scrubs come back when?
- stellarceltic, on 02/10/2008, -0/+16You are 100% ***** insane if you don't think Conan has been funny without his writers. Most would argue he's been even better without them.
- adventflux, on 02/10/2008, -5/+21could have*
sorry. - Vulphaestion, on 02/10/2008, -4/+19House is already back, dude.
- thedarkrabbit, on 02/10/2008, -1/+15Well, if Michael says it, then it MUST be true...
- zdiddy85, on 02/10/2008, -0/+11I need to go back to grade school.
- duddles, on 02/10/2008, -0/+10Not necessarily over soon... many shows linger on as ghosts of their former yellow selves...
- Syni, on 02/10/2008, -1/+11When was the last time anybody trusted Eisner?
- FDDIcent, on 02/10/2008, -0/+10So is Lost
- Alex2, on 02/10/2008, -5/+15All that happened was that the studios finally made an offer.
1. make a lame offer.
2. call the other guys 'the bad guys' when they don't accept the offer.
.
4. Profit. - badjoke, on 02/10/2008, -1/+10Unfortunately, this strike yielded a new Larry the Cable Guy movie...
- inactive, on 02/10/2008, -1/+10I stopped caring at this point. Bury me down, but I'm going to one of the people that stops watching the shows because of this. I've found better things to do during prime time.
- stellarceltic, on 02/10/2008, -0/+9Reject a woman, and she will never let it go. One of the many defects of their kind. Also, weak arms.
- silversword990, on 02/10/2008, -0/+9Worst profit gig I've ever heard, sorry
- fanclerks, on 02/10/2008, -0/+9tldr
- renegadeafk, on 02/10/2008, -0/+9The manatees went on strike?
- derekbender, on 02/10/2008, -1/+9Finally! TV has gone downhill big time. Reality shows have taken over!
- virtualball, on 02/10/2008, -0/+8Conan is funny without the writers but it wouldn't have lasted much longer. You can only have strange dancers, wedding ring spinnings, and funny gimmicks/videos for so long.
- emix, on 02/10/2008, -1/+9yea he spoke way too soon
- phronko, on 02/10/2008, -0/+8Are you the kind of person who thinks it's morally OK to steal from anyone who makes more money than you do?
- codyman, on 02/10/2008, -1/+8I for one, am grateful, as it has effected my job as I have been put on leave for the last month by my employer in Burbank (Sound Studio) as after about 1.5 / 2 months of the strike, ALL production work dried up...
If you go to Hollywood / Burbank right now, its a ghost town... - MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -0/+7Totally agreed, Conan and Colbert are more hilarious than ever, but their personalities and show formats lend themselves to doing better without writers or a rigid schedule. On the flipside, the Daily Show has been seriously lacking, I think Jon really benefits from his writers' and their collaboration.
- jakobmakob, on 02/10/2008, -3/+10Could have* sworn* you mean.
- therealknewman, on 02/10/2008, -0/+6correct, they had three episodes left all which have aired. Hugh Laurie is having issues with his contract however, and it is possible that the show could be over. I hope not.
- inactive, on 02/10/2008, -1/+7I thought it was only a few episodes then stopping?
- DickyT83, on 02/10/2008, -2/+8If by Scrubs you mean The Office, then you are correct.
- badjoke, on 02/10/2008, -0/+6As long as you never do it again.
Could've != Could of - alexra, on 02/10/2008, -0/+5haha ironic
- goldenhearted, on 02/10/2008, -5/+10I hope Lost gets a full season. Because ever since 2005, it's mandatory for me that the month of May should have a Lost season finale.
It would be strange without one :( - adventflux, on 02/10/2008, -1/+5Awesome, now just give us the other half of the Lost season.
- littlechina888, on 02/10/2008, -11/+15thank god! 24 needs to come back asap!!! im going through jack bauer withdrawals
- betrayed, on 02/10/2008, -0/+4I've always thought Jon was even more hilarious since everything seemed sincere on this part rather than a rehearsed line. Check the look on his face while he does that whole bit about Romney dropping out.
- MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -1/+5Some of those shows are back, but the new episodes they're airing were completed before the strike. So even after the strike is resolved we'll have to wait a few weeks for them to produce new episodes.
- NightVortez, on 02/10/2008, -0/+4The Jon, Colbert, Conan fight was the greatest thing his, and their, shows have done in ages.
- dawgma, on 02/10/2008, -0/+4About that comment of yours earlier.. in that other story... how exactly does 10x-x = 9x+x ?
- joessandwich, on 02/10/2008, -1/+5You may want to read up on what Eisner is up to these days. After being fired from Disney he hosts a show on CNBC and has nothing to do with Disney nor anything to do with the strike.
- BlackJackJester, on 02/10/2008, -1/+5Does this mean no more american gladiators? :(
- sevenalive, on 02/10/2008, -1/+5Playing a dumbass is not going to give u diggs.
- Jrr6415sun, on 02/10/2008, -0/+4If people want to know when shows are coming back:
http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Ed ... - maticdog, on 02/10/2008, -2/+6it's being buried because michael eisner doesn't work for Disney anymore.
