- ehudros, on 11/10/2007, -4/+51Oh joy, now he can ruin the next Transformers!
- Godel, on 11/13/2007, -0/+30Then we have a truck hit the building and it's all like BLASHHH! then it rolls over and it's all like Blourm!
- mayan, on 11/13/2007, -0/+25Oh man. I wanted explosions to be played forward and then baaaackwards, and then back forwards again from a different angle, and the baaaack again ....
- NYC83, on 11/09/2007, -2/+24FYI: Miami Vice was directed by Michael Mann...BIG difference (but still a crappy movie)
- scecilio, on 11/13/2007, -0/+14Military Commander: "Those aren't ideas! Those are special effects!!!"
Michael Bay: "I don't see the difference" - Hetman, on 11/13/2007, -0/+13"No No Mr. Bay those are just special affects were talking about plot development."
- RaggTopp, on 11/09/2007, -0/+12So yeah....they're gona get Uwe Boll right? /cry
- Tenlow, on 11/09/2007, -2/+13Those aren't ideas, those are effects.
- TheNik, on 11/09/2007, -1/+12"Those aren't ideas, they're special effects."
"Isn't that the same thing?" - inactive, on 11/09/2007, -2/+12PoP was an awesome game. Hope the movie doesn't kill it for me.
- madmonkey300, on 11/09/2007, -0/+10good cos he sucks at directing.
- Tyorant, on 11/09/2007, -0/+10And then there's like an explosion and it's like BWAOOOOM and then this helicopter comes in and it's like BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
- mrjit, on 11/09/2007, -0/+9And the obligatory helicopter fly by.. fly by.. fly by.. fly by the fly by.. and once again flying by the fly bies fly by.
- huskerdude, on 11/09/2007, -0/+92 hrs of jumping!
- scairborn, on 11/09/2007, -0/+9Dammit, I wanted 360 low angle camera shots of every actor and out of focus quick cut scenes that are super close up of large action sequences so I would have to watch the movie 8 times just to figure out WTF happened.
- klinsek, on 11/09/2007, -0/+9Yes Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus...
- Rapter09, on 11/09/2007, -0/+8You mean that short blur of orange was an explosion? Hard to tell with so much shaky cam and the 50 cuts every 30 seconds that Bay finds absolutely necessary to make to make you feel like you're in the action, man!
- MikeonTV, on 11/09/2007, -1/+9Thanks for the correction
- WiseWeasel, on 11/09/2007, -2/+10Transformers was a terrible, terrible movie. Some of the effects were OK (thanks to the animators, compositors and editors), but he fails as a director. Michael Bay couldn't direct traffic...
- quigles3000, on 11/09/2007, -0/+8What the hell? Don't digg him up. Not only did he get the director wrong, but Miami Vice is like the only bad film Michael Mann has made. He also directed Heat, The Insider, and Collateral.
- psbpv3o, on 11/09/2007, -0/+7What's the difference?
- Hetman, on 11/09/2007, -2/+9Dewd did you watch transformers? It was the suxxors. The originial cartoon movie is like 10000000 times better. The plot was not good. Dorky kid gets hot chicks runs into robots, with a touch of crappy hacker comic relief guy. Micheal bay blows and does not know anything about directing. It is amazing that people actually still pay him to direct.
- AirRaven, on 11/09/2007, -0/+7Wow. Meaning this has the faintest possible chance of not sucking now?
- Hetman, on 11/09/2007, -0/+7Thank God. Maybe the movie will actually be good now instead of just 90 minutes of different ancient building exploding.
- SimpleC, on 11/09/2007, -0/+6Aww... I was looking forward to seeing exploding helicopters.
- inactive, on 11/09/2007, -0/+6Thank god....
- petebot, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5Where are the South Park references?
- Elranzer, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5Hopefully Disney will hire someone who's actually Iranian (Persian) to play the prince, not some tanned white guy with long hair.
- swgc5, on 11/09/2007, -0/+4Best news I've heard all day, Bay sucks.
- Hetman, on 11/09/2007, -1/+5When did he direct the first outstanding transforme movie?
- Osjpr, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3I ***** hate Bay. STOP HIRING THE ***** PLEASE
- fohf, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3those aren't ideas. they're special effects...
- ElPachuco, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3WTF?! Miami Vice was a great movie. I'm know it wasn't a typical stupid summer action movie, but I loved every bit of it, the dialog was great, the action that there was awesome and realistic. And that cinematography was beautiful.
- ElPachuco, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3AS the old saying goes...
Boys watch Michael Bay
Men watch Michael Mann - had3l, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3So, will it be set in Iran? That will be interesting...
- WNW3, on 11/09/2007, -2/+5"TRANSFORMERS" aka "Bad Boys 3...With robots!"
- emehrkay, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3Great news. Now we wont have to see any more 360 camera pan around any of the characters
- mistafreeze, on 11/08/2007, -1/+4Wow, this could be an amazing movie. I loved the game series, some of the most fun I have had playing games in years. I just hope they make some more PoP games.
- hellotyler, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2Thank god, someone finally agrees with me that TRANSFORMERS SUCKED!!!
- starf, on 11/10/2007, -0/+2When I saw the title, I thought kickass, they dumped Micheal Bay.
Then I read the article, which says that he was rumored to direct. Not the same thing as him getting the boot.
Still good news, but title is inaccurate. - Kannebas, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2It's weird how many people mix those two up... And not to mention Michael Mann created Miami Vice...
- notman, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2You mean "American Pie: Transformers"
- SiNN4R, on 11/09/2007, -2/+4I thought the same thing about Pirates of the Caribbean.. I still think that about Pirates of the Caribbean but appearently a lot of other people like it. Contrary to popular belief among the video game crowd the best way to make a good video game movie is to ignore 99% of the source material.
- dalittle, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2Gee, I don't know why people would be disappointed? You wouldn't know what happened if you watched the two hours of close ups and explosions that Bay would have done any how.
- thebillgonadz, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2At least this way, Prince of Persia won't start off all "SHHPRAAHHH!! BLAASSHHHRRAAAAHHHH!!"
- madmonkey300, on 11/09/2007, -1/+3there was an outstanding transformers movie?
- rsdigi, on 11/09/2007, -0/+2prob been said but get your facts straight. He chose Transformers 2 over this. He gave THEM the boot.
- Vinterblod, on 11/09/2007, -1/+3Bruckheimer doesn't exactly have a great track record himself, he's produced Pearl Harbor, Bad Boys II, National Treasure, King Arthur, Armageddon, and many other "masterpieces"... I think he loves huge explosions and car-crashes just as much as Mr. Bay.
- bonk2k, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2"Learn to shut the ***** up and appreciate good films." Yeah you stupid *****. Citizen Kane is the best ***** movie ever. It was so goddamn beautiful. Its a ***** masterpiece. ***** rosebud and *****.
No, no, but seriously, could you imagine? - heifetz, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2Michael Mann and Michael Bay are not even in the same league. I made the mistake of watching transformers thinking that the director was Michael Mann, that's 2 hours wasted that I'll never get back.
