- marcduke, on 07/28/2008, -2/+108I call ***** on this list....where the hell is the *****-Knocker from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back? That's gotta be #1.
- cnot3, on 07/28/2008, -2/+79Mark Hamill has been in 10 things besides Star Wars? THAT'S NOT TRUE! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!
- toxicityj, on 07/28/2008, -2/+47Search your feelings. You know it to be true.
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -6/+39I loled, this is kinda sad, really.
- chrissku, on 07/28/2008, -1/+31That's 8 things more than the entire cast of Seinfeld has done since their show ended.
- crazyjake, on 07/28/2008, -8/+36i was surprised he had 10!!
and do VO's really count? - chris4404, on 07/28/2008, -2/+27Where is ***** Knocker?
- mrgermy, on 07/28/2008, -2/+26Mark Hamil as the joker. . . . the laugh is chilling.
Mask of the Phantasm is, imho, an excellent animated film and if you haven't seen it check it out. - MommaLu, on 07/28/2008, -6/+29That really sucks for him. :(
- rblancarte, on 07/28/2008, -2/+24Nooooooooooooooooooooo..... nooooooo....
- koonchu, on 07/28/2008, -2/+20Mark Hamill will always be the greatest Joker in my opinion.
- AmyVernon, on 07/28/2008, -3/+21Harrison Ford FTW
- WallsOfPeril, on 07/28/2008, -1/+19Fantastic list. Best part is watching the video for #1 and imagining him doing all that in a voiceover studio.
- screamingjoker, on 07/28/2008, -1/+182 Words "Corvette Summer" Baby.
- matt247, on 07/28/2008, -2/+19What about when he was on The Simpsons or does playing himself not count?
- chadwalters23, on 07/28/2008, -2/+18yes
- FreddieD, on 07/28/2008, -1/+17Don't ***** with a jedi master, son!
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -2/+17No mention of the Big Red One? Or did that come out mid-trilogy...
- sdphost, on 07/28/2008, -3/+17How is it sad?
Mark Hammil IS the Joker, no one can top his performance as the Joker, not even Heath Ledger.
Mark as the trickester on the flash was also a great role as was his appearance on Avatar.
Comic Book the movie is a very interesting film as well.
Sure none of his roles have been as important as Luke (his Joker coming close) but its not like he became worthless or a failure, he's done great as other roles. - inactive, on 07/28/2008, -1/+14No it doesn't. Batman: The Animated Series is absolutely incredible.
- RapidEye, on 07/28/2008, -1/+14FAIL! - "Corvette Summer" with Annie Potts - had to be one of the _WORST_ movies ever made, period. I can't believe it didn't make the list.
Too bad it was the best Mark could get at the time...
It wasn't my fault I watched it 5 or 6 times - it was a cool car =-) - Rodalli, on 07/28/2008, -2/+14RTFA
- sparkmonkeyz, on 07/28/2008, -1/+12I didn't know he played Lord Ozai, that's sick. I love Avatar, I don't care if it is on Nickelodeon, is geared towards kids, or is considered an anime rip off.
- diggB, on 07/28/2008, -1/+12Not many people realize that he's also Senator Stampingston from Metalocalypse.
- Meursault, on 07/28/2008, -1/+11Seems like a cool guy. Still married to his first wife!
- bainfu, on 07/28/2008, -0/+9Heath Ledger was awesome, and brought an amazing live action performance to the silver screen, but the Hamill take on the Joker is really flawless.
- monkeythumpa, on 07/28/2008, -0/+8I played Wing Commander and saw him a lot, usually after failing a mission.
- bronxelf, on 07/28/2008, -1/+7The Fire Lord Ozai voice is really, really good. I knew he was the one doing it but aurally? I can't tell.
- bortoth, on 07/28/2008, -0/+6What about Chanukah Zombie??
- MacEnvy, on 07/28/2008, -0/+6Plus, he did it with Carrie Fischer back when that meant something. And she wasn't even his sister.
- thegoldenavatar, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5Honestly, after all these years I never knew he was in Full Throttle.
- PopcornDave, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5Danny Bonaduce is not generally referred to as an added bonus.
- TheUngod, on 07/28/2008, -1/+6***** Knocker rocked, but come on...Metalocalypse!
- pitchblack16, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5thats a pretty damn evil laugh hes got
- dmourati, on 07/28/2008, -1/+6Just Saw Carrie Fisher this weekend perform in Wishful Drinking. She told a great story about how Lucas told her she couldn't wear a bra because "there is no underwear in space."
She's doing well at least. If you get the chance, go see her show. It is hilarious and she even breaks out a life sized Princess Leia sex toy while asking for crowd participation.
http://www.geekologie.com/2007/10/life_size_prince ... - cryonix, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5You see that's the problem. "do VO's really count?". Many industry people think the same way when paying them. "Real" actors get paid much more than a seasoned and well loved Voice Actor for similar voice work. When it comes down to it, I would rather have any pro voice actor over a celeb actor, when I'm watching a cartoon/movie. That's not to say that all Celeb level actors are bad voice actors, some have made the transition nicely.
- ostracize, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5Nothing, that's the problem
- darkphenox, on 07/28/2008, -1/+6His Joker is great but I did not know he did the voice for Fire Lord Ozai the one is great as well.
- Weezergames, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5wait what about *****-Knocker from Jay and Silent Bob strike back?
- KaJuN4, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4Yeah...he shot first.
- KaJuN4, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4No Robot Chicken? For shame!!
- moocow1452, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4Ozai-Mania about to run wild... ON YOUR FACE!!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zcIlpeaR48I - centran, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4Heath's Joker was something special... but just like comparing Heath's Joker to Jack Nicholson's Joker; you can't do it. They are too different and done in different contexts. If anything the Nicholson Joker is closer to Hammill's animated Joker.
But I do feel you with Hammill is the Joker. The animated Joker is still missing the brutal violence of the Joker but it has the good balance of Joker being a goofy comic type character yet still a criminal genius who is a true threat to the Batman. - erichw1504, on 07/28/2008, -1/+5Yes sir, there is. You suffer from an acute illness known only as: Pervlexia.
- SoullessPoet, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4Chilling, indeed. Who would've thought that Luke Skywalker could sound so sinister?
- madblunted, on 07/28/2008, -1/+5He needs a good director to give him a bad ass role.. like what Tarantino did to Travolta...
- alphabetagaga, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4Agreed. Mark Hamill is responsible for what I consider the Joker laugh: The hysterical, full laugh tinged with psychosis. It could make you laugh along while having a chill run down your spine.
- UserNull, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4Oh man you're right. They should have put that on the list. Probably as number 1 even.
Oh wait.
They did. - cadmiumpaint, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4His voice work in the batman the animated series was brilliant. I'm pretty sure he did more voices than just the Joker.
- forevernomad, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4That was the first thing I was expecting when I clicked the link.
Gonna go and cheer myself up with a toke on my blunt bong saber now. -
