- Trev7389, on 10/11/2007, -0/+27Thank God it's not being directed by Brett Ratner.
- keithmcbride, on 10/11/2007, -0/+26just because he wears red/purple doesnt mean you need to call him Magenta...
- FizixMan, on 10/11/2007, -2/+16Or Michael Bay.
- ironrex, on 10/11/2007, -5/+19I'm actually less interested in wolverine than any of the other characters. He seems to be such a huge focus in the X-men movies, basically the main character. Didn't they develop his character enough in X-men 2?
- drjekelmrhyde, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14I want to see Apocalypse
also the link is weird go here

- spyrochaete, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12Hey, no dissing Pee Wee.
- nimawin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11the actual article from MTV: http://www.mtvmoviesblog.com/2007/05/15/x-men-spin-off-magneto-to-reveal-anti-hero-origin-story/
- FearMEiDEA, on 10/11/2007, -5/+13This is Gawd speaking. The movie will suck. I have spoken.
PS stop playing with yourself. - mythandros, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Nipples on Batman = Flames on Optimus.
- majin23x, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7David Goyer writes good scripts. He knows his stuff. He wrote all 3 blade movies and batman begins.
But look at his directing credits. The only thing I've seen that he directed is Blade Trinity, which was a bit... flat.
I won't be getting my hopes up for this one. - nimawin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7it'll be out in 2009
IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499519/
also, Wolverine is coming out and it seems it'll hit the theaters earlier than Magneto (in 2008)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458525/ - jericko, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6This is the same director that screwed us on Blade 3, but he did make up for it with Batman Begins. So he has a 50% track record at the moment.
- spyrochaete, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Do yourself a favour and just block this guy. He's spamming some dumb search engine nobody's heard of.
- weeman43302, on 10/11/2007, -5/+9That is great. I hope many more movies are made from X-men.
- GraceMolloy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Pee Wee Herman directs?
- daborg, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4... says the ranting Digg user.
- TonksKC, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2There's a lot of spaces in the Magneto/Prof X storyline where they're not in the plot together.
- an7agonist, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I'm sad Uwe Boll had no time :
- Beatmiser, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Buried for spamming your search site.
- Amadeus2490, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Mckellen mentions the technology they used in X-men 3 to de-age him and Patrick Stewart on his website. . .he gets really excited about it and he says he really hopes they get him to do the movie, because they can make him look any age they want to without having to hire 3 or 4 different actors.
But then again the amount of work that went into that scene probably costs as much as hiring a few actors. . . - nonzzero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Just as with any person, it's a courtesy to pronounce their name the way they want it pronounced.
I don't think it really matters between exavier and zavier. Havier is pushing it, though. - nonzzero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Don't think this will appeal to anybody but hardcore X-fans. After all, there's no X-Men and Magneto won't be wearing his signature cape and helmet. This will have to have really good character development to make up for the lack of flashiness.
- iamdegenatron, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Ron Paul has this uncanny resemblence to Magneto; Sir Ian McKellen
- tical2756, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1no one said he directed it. he wrote the screenplay for batman begins
- Aiwanei, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1ironrex well they may do something about his life right after he got the metal grafts when he was an agent for the military. That would be a good story for wolverine I think.
- edrift101, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Hmmm... That could be pretty cool if done correctly. Magneto has a rich history.
They pretty much messed up the universe with that last movie (mehh), so I'll have to give up hope on a X-Men 4 movie featuring Apocolype... There's a guy that even looks like him from X-Files (one of the Bounty Hunters.) - mythandros, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2You used caps. Now I have to, huh?
- ZachRetox, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Magneto/Professor X Movie would be badass... I'm also hoping the Wolverine movie will be based of off the Weapon X storyline.
- jspegele, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'm not sure he'll be able to shed 60 years for the part, but with cgi these days, who knows.
- MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1Yeah, Goyer knows the books and did a great job on Batman Begins, but I think the director Christopher Nolan made the film what it is by giving it literary presence among other things.
- Hypermarkalan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'm a bit nervous too. I have no trouble with Goyer's writing, but from Blade:Trinity I'm not sure if he's cut out to be a director.
- KamranO, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0This guy screwed up on Blade 3, didn't he?
Well, Batman Begins was awesome...
We'll see what happens. - VaporBro, on 10/26/2007, -2/+2I'm not worried. It's directed an co-written by the guy who did Batman Begins. I have complete faith that this movie will be badass.
Friggin' tight. - daborg, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2I'm so certain that your comment could be dugg down that I'm going to bet $100 that it might be buried.
- TonksKC, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Wow, I'm seriously loving that they're doing all these spin-off movies revolving around just one character. Gives a lot more time for character devolopment and plot advancement.
I can't wait to see what other characters they make spin-offs for. Wolverine, Magneto... Think they'll ever do a Professor X? - erbalot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0this seems like a great idea to me. i think it would be great if it was a darker, grittier, more substance full film. good character with a diverse background to work with. i'm especially looking forward to seeing how they will deal with his experience with the concentration camps.
- Sundarsu, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1OMFG, for the people who can't seem to grasp the concept, Goyer DID NOT direct Batman Begins.
http://imdb.com/name/nm0333060/
The movies he DID direct, suck great big fat testicles. - abdeviation, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I always wanted to be Magneto out of all the other x-men
- Spacejack, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I notice the article says "David Goyer, the guy who helped write Batman Begins" and not "David Goyer, the guy who helped write Ghost Rider and directed Blade 3".
- wagedomain, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Call me crazy but what I remember about Magneto, this kind of is a Professor X movie..
- TenebrousX, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Only nerds like fiction?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Magneto is my favorite from X-men :)
- g30ph, on 10/11/2007, -9/+8Dear Lord,
Although we both know I think you are a fictional being, please make Magneto a good movie, so that the floodgates might be opened for so many other great characters to find their way to the big screens with multi-million dollar budgets.
Thanks,
Your faithful unbeliever. - Hockey37, on 10/11/2007, -7/+6Thank you Captain Obvious.
- btgoss, on 10/11/2007, -6/+5It might rain.
- Urusai, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2I can't figure out why you're supposed to say "ecks-zavier" instead of "zavier" or "hahvier" for Xavier. Is Magneto pronounced "manyeeto" or "maguhneto"? Huh?
- Hambone72, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1How can anybody dig down g30ph?
Funniest thing I've read all day.
*****, I guess now you know who the heathans are. - ironrex, on 10/11/2007, -6/+5Could be jussssst right.
- mojoel, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2I'm an X-Men fan from the 80's & the movies were great, but I can't see a Magneto movie doing very well.
