- Dpack1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Some how i dont think a 65 year old is gonna pull off the same Indy we knew from 20 years a go... Damn he's getting too old for this *****.
Though i hope i'm wrong, these movies rocked back in the day and still do today. - iamnos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7He did some action shots in Firewall, which was released last year and he didn't look too bad in that one. The press release doesn't mention Connery, IMDB lists him as "rumoured". I like the working title though "Ravages of Time". Seems appropriate :)
- lazydrumhead, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11what? where's the blog spam?
i'm so confused, I thought this was digg! - gregharmon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Harrison Ford is the man. He can pull this ***** off easier, at age 65, than we can eat a cupcake.
- AllnightChemist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Plot details or not, we can rule out a prequel, that's for sure.
- simpleid, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2We should send him some Motrin IB, he's going to need it.
How old was sean connary when he did James Bond movies? He's always looked pretty old to me.
I wonder how many actors do action movies after 50 or so. - RyAnderson, on 10/12/2007, -10/+2Indiana Jones and the Quest for Harrison's Career
- AegisGFX, on 10/12/2007, -16/+7Tis waaaaayyyy past the time when this movie might have mattered. Plus Lucas's image is so tarnished by the last 3 star wars 'kiddies only' movies, he has ZERO cred as a film maker.
This is a pointless endeavor. - drlha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"How old was sean connary when he did James Bond movies? He's always looked pretty old to me."
When he did Never Say Never Again, his comeback (and last) Bond movie where everyone thought he was laughably to old for the part, he was 53.
When he did Dr. No (the first Bond) he was 32. So not that old. - tateswayz91, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0How's harry ford going to do all those crazy shenanigans with a walker?
- tylercrowley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2pretty sure http://bigbignews.net had this story last week
- LordSkywalker, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25I know I'll get raped here for saying this, but oh well.
Maybe it's time for me to watch the first three movies.- simpleid, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Heh. Yea it is. Raiders of the lost ark was my favorite for a long time.
- AllnightChemist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I once had a girlfriend with the same problem. Once.
- gregharmon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2chemist:
Now that you mention it - I have doubts that my girlfriend has saw any of the movies. I'll have to remedy this, rather unfortunate, situation. - Alphateam, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3@Chemist
Maybe you'd have more than 1 girlfriend in your life if you didn't force her to watch movies she didn't like. - Benzido, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7My relationship is founded on me forcing her to watch movies she thinks she won't like.
- drlha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Your nick is "LordSkywalker", yet you've never seen the "other" Lucas trilogy? Shame on you.
- echinatl, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2"Maybe it's time for me to watch the first three movies."
I feel old now=( - Nar1117, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I know a girl who hasnt seen Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, and hasnt read Harry Potter. Not that everyone has read Potter, but you know...
Shes a strange chick. To say the least... - AllnightChemist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Alphateam
You don't sound remotely old enough to pass freshman comp., let alone give me relationship advice. But thanks anyway.
- an7agonist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Yeaha! I'm really looking forward to the movie 8D
And don't forget: "You call him Dr. Jones!" - theguz4l, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4This was announced about a week or two ago. Do a search
- wkinney, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Any word on whether Sean Connery will be returning?
- cambrown99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Lucas and Spielberg have said they have a part for Connery.
He's supposedly retired, but he should do it if for no other reason than keeping 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' from being his swan song.
- cambrown99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Lucas and Spielberg have said they have a part for Connery.
- plugues, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4in this one he goes to baghdad
- JasonPrini, on 10/12/2007, -29/+4OK, this is proof Lucas is officially mad.
Harrison Ford is 65 years old!
I hope Indy doesn't break a hip.
How are we going to suspend our disbelief with a geriatric Indiana Jones?
We'll have to wait and see, but I don't have a lot of hope for this.- Dpack1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12way to just copy the first two comments there pal, thanks for bringing a useful insight to the topic.
- Jugalator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I'm pretty sure the script will be adapted for this. I wouldn't be surprised if Indy would have a more laid back "wise man" kind of role this time around, perhaps involuntarily getting on some sort of adventure with a group, although still with tricks up his sleeve. It's just that I don't quite see him outrunning boulders or such things anymore.
Hmm, or he will just provide the voice, and his character is CG! This is Lucas we're talking of. ;) - raynar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13"OK, this is proof Lucas is officially mad.

Well, the thing is, people like him who stay in shape are better conditioned for that kind of work then most of the 18-25 year olds on here who just sit around behind a computer all day. - JasonPrini, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1"way to just copy the first two comments there pal, thanks for bringing a useful insight to the topic."
I don't see any insight here either, except maybe about your personality. Isn't that ironic?
Harrison is a great star, not so much an actor, but fans love his presence, so Indy4 might work. It's just that he does look very old, and Lucas is a terrible writer and not the best director.
Sean Connery in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was great, so there is hope for Grandpa Indy. - GNUGNOME, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just have one thing to say to you sir, did you see rocky balboa? the new one? Stalone pulled it off man, im sure ford could do the same.
- Bonzodog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17@wakeup911:
STOP SPAMMING DIGG!! I HAVE BLOCKED YOU ON NO LESS THAN FOUR OCCASIONS WITH 4 DIFFERENT NICKS.
Sorry for the rant guys, but this guy is beginning to really get on my nerves.- netdawg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15I understand and sympathize but by responding you are playing his game. Just block him and never respond. If we all do this maybe he will go away.
- JCSaint, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm on a mission to find out where he lives....
- Procure, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Although cool, this was on digg a week ago, twice. I thought there were new stories on digg?
- AllnightChemist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3There are, this simply isn't one of them.
- southport, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Natalie Portman is going to ruin it. The whole thing is going to be lackluster, anticlimatic and tongue-in-cheek. She's already ruined one trilogy.
- drlha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8You think Natalie Portman was what ruined the Star Wars prequels?
- IamBobX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7She won't be in the movie. This movie will have a lot of sand. Natalie doesn't like sand. It's coarse, rough, irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft…and smooth.
- jlebrech, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Please make it 1947+ I want some AK action!!
And Harrison Ford looks at the least 20 years older, so the Nazi's will be gone, so it'll have to be Soviets or Ex-nazi's that weren't killed from the previous movies seeking revenge.
I want a reference to the sword scene, where he whips out an AK against a luger. Or maybe at a bar and he shoots first. - dypchit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"The film trilogy....grossed over $1,182,000,000 at the box office"
No matter how much I hated "Temple of Doom", that statement alone says it all about the series; I am just hoping that part IV won't be a "Howard the Duck".- humbledstrength, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1HEY! I liked howard the duck!
I might be a lonely man for saying that though..... - davesphone00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I remember Howard the Duck. Sadly, the first thing that came to my mind were the duck boobies in the opening scene.
- sicclife, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I have Howard the Duck on VHS
- humbledstrength, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1HEY! I liked howard the duck!
- bar10dr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The movie wont be the same without nazis, i want to see nazis get their head kicked in.
I got a feeling that this movie is going to disappoint massively like all the other crap lately, I hope it wont suck. - jlebrech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Maybe he should have saved that cup!!
- Zoplax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Will Harrison Ford become the new Chuck Norris or Vin Diesel?
- mdsbrain, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Sounds like they are trying to dig up a old story and continue to make $ from it.
- ubisuck, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Indiana Jones and the search for Lipitor
ps: late night's Letterman joke - ajcbrooklyn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4HANG ON LADY, WE GO FOR A RIDE!
- Zoplax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Indiana Jones and the... HEY... who the ***** stole my dentures??!
- delarge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1God forbid they'd try something new.
- RealityCheque, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Right...try something new.
As opposed to cash in on an established franchise that is in all likelihood going to make $150 million dollars?
These companies are out to MAKE MONEY first; if you are entertained in the process, so be it.
- RealityCheque, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Right...try something new.
- jimma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I hope it's choked full of great one-liners!
- atb12688, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Lucas would not cast Ford unless he was absolutely certain that this film could be pulled off.
- ScoobyG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I'm sure he was absolutely certain Jar Jar was a good idea.
- xshaisu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Indy shot first.
- b0b0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5This could work if Harrison gets into shape. He really has put on the pounds compared to how he looked in the 80s, but if Stallone managed to make Rocky Balboa, Indy IV could work.
- bquigly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The title of the movie will be "Indiana Jones and the Ravages of Time"
- rowlodge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1dont worry, roger moore was almost 60 in the last 007 movie he did.
- UglyShirts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They've said that they're going to age Indy appropriately, and that in keeping with the age of the character, the movie's going to take place 20 or so years after the last one. That means it'll be set sometime in the sixties.
It'll be interesting to see what they can do with that. - ChikinMcNublet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No matter what the plotline of the movie, you can bet they'll have an obligatory boulder that comes out of nowhere for him to dodge.
- Alphi1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"It's not the age, sweetheart, it's the mileage.... Wait, who am I kidding, it *IS* the age"
;) - Leylabot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Ahh, I love hearing news I've known about for 4 years.
Harry, buddy you're OLD. Please do cameos only! - Fejerro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What's the title of the movie? Indiana Jones and the Centrum of Silver?
- amy500057, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well, it is official, it has been confirmed on imdb. Will definately be looking forward to it. Shame the title hasn't been confirmed yet.
- browwiw, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hrmmm...Indiana Jones and the Joe McCarthy Communist Witch Hunt?
- thefutureisours, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1who cares how old he is these days with CGI. they'll make him look like he's in his prime, unless they want to use his aging as part of the movie.
- ERUZE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well even if Indy 4 turns out to be not as good as the other movies it'll still make a ton of cash....cos we'll all go to see it anyway and you know that to be true..
Oh yeah for the true fans..."It's a date..you eeet em" - thePuck77, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Riiiiight.....because Lucas hasn't raped my childhood enough. :(
- gnetsurpher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hey everyone, I think this is great news. If you are a fan of Indy, I invite you to check out a podcast i am involved with called Indiana Jones and the Well of Life. It's listed here in the podcast section and you can find it by searching for the title. It's created by pendantaudio.com and we have many other podcasts as well (search for pendant in the podcast section), but I figured with this being Indy news, maybe you'd like to hear some good Indy fan audio! Hope that's allright, if not, I won't do this again. Thanks!
- roxics, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Cool. And my wife just bought me the trilogy on DVD for Christmas. But I grew up with them, so this is a long time coming.
- Takteek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I will kill the next person who diggs this! (it's at 1337)
- humbledstrength, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thats not nice. But then again the internet isn't nice.
