- SybotCB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I already make movies from DVD's to watch on my Pocket PC for free. Why should I re-buy some of my favorite movies in UMD format. Sony how about making an easy conversion utility instead.
- lonseidman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey Sony - how about making some games worth buying for this thing? I haven't picked up my PSP in weeks due to a lack of software.
- clumsyninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Short Circuit! :)
- ajb2015, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0While it's nice to see the support I agree with reaver. THE PSP NEEDS MORE GAMES! I bought the damn thing to play video games and there has yet to be an incredible title that's kept me hooked. I beat twisted metal within the first 48 hours of owning it so I went and bought Untold Legends. That was so boring I couldn't get through all the way so I got Lumines. I got about 2 weeks of play time out of that and I still occasionally pick it up. Where are the good games? Since launch two weeks ago only a handful of new titles have been released. I don't care about movies. I WANT MORE games.
- G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Last time I checked, 33 movies wasn't EVERY movie. IGN are liars! Just rip the movie on to a memory stick, much better ;D
- phishyJon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0an IMAX movie on a PSP? how ironic...
- clumsyninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Also, there's this: http://gigaom.com/2005/05/25/movies-for-psp-2-go
It's been reported that Blockbuster will be doing something similar. - valan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0man, I can't imagine spending money on such a proprietary, one-use format. they should be including umd's with dvds for free, you're already buying the movie, why should you have to pay more? maybe include a voucher with the dvd that lets you buy the umd for $1-3. How much do the umd's cost anyway?
- reaver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0PSP needs more games. There's nothing to play and it seems like no one is developing on it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Coyote Ugly, nice babes, terrible movie, c'mon don't throw every piece of movie crap to the PSP, thanks in advance.
- ST3V3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The PSP has been out for 3 months and look how many games it has. After 3 months the DS had like 7 games. Also mostly movies psp owners would buy are comming to psp. Not stuff like the Titanic
- clumsyninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0When buttons are replaced with something that wont stick. :P
- FunkyGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0whens the porn coming out?
- eclectro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Don't they have DVD players with itty bitty screens already??
cough*dead movie platform*cough - AbeFroman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Man I can't even get RAD via netflix, no way it will ever be UMD
- brainspout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0NO WAY IN HELL, I'm gonna' buy UMD versions of movies I've already paid for (yes, I said "PAID FOR", none of my movies are downloaded...). When I hear of a way to burn my movies to UMD that's the day I will buy a PSP.
Whaddaya' think, will it ever happen? - clumsyninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No you'll need a bigger stick for that. I was just generalizing that you can get stuff cheaper on ebay. I didn't have enough for a 1 or 2 gig this time around. Not sure about quality but I imagine it would depend on the file. Some Divx movies are very crisp. Just saying it's possible to do this stuff. As of this point in time, I use my PSP primarily for podcasts and systm. Oh, and games. :)
- brainspout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You load full DVD movies onto a 256MB memory stick? How is the quality? I have to imagine it blows, right?
- clumsyninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0*hint* You can download the movies you own on DVD and upload them to the memory stick. *hint* Of course you'll have to buy stick with more memory, but I got a 256mb stick on ebay for pretty cheap.
- whitesanjuro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Coyote Ugly: Unrated Extended Cut" -- finally, a good reason to buy PSP
