- Jektal, on 10/09/2008, -7/+42Support the good movies.
- Juber, on 10/10/2008, -1/+31Or just get the blu-ray, it only has one edition.
It's still two discs. I always felt like companies were gouging customers with multiple DVD editions (except for Lord of the Rings, 4 discs of sex) - darthsand, on 10/09/2008, -0/+21alright, I've been waiting for this on dvd since theatres. I bet commentary with jon favreau and robert downey will be hilarious!
- AmyVernon, on 10/09/2008, -5/+25I always wonder on the two-disc editions, because, really, who has time to watch all the extras???
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -1/+19Wtf, you fit in the cd hole??
- trujillonorte, on 10/09/2008, -1/+16YES! Just bought my copy yesterday.
- neonoodle, on 10/10/2008, -1/+14doesn't everybody?
- djphilos, on 10/10/2008, -0/+9My Bluray 2 disc set was $25. Thats expensive?
- Skooma714, on 10/10/2008, -1/+10No, you just got a porno by accident
- kinseyincanada, on 10/10/2008, -0/+8wow i actually just finished watching the special features theres a segment on the first disc about the history of Iron Man thats really, cool, but the making of on the second disk is amazing, you have to see it if your a fan of the movie, also the Blu-Ray version looks absolutely amazing. Its the first one i saw a noticeable difference.
- SunnyJoe73, on 10/10/2008, -0/+8I do...
- BlaqReaper, on 10/10/2008, -1/+9YES! I just bought my copy. Burned an image, uploaded it, waited for people to seed it, and downloaded my own file yesterday!*
That's how much I love this movie.
*Events may or may not be accurate - benguild, on 10/10/2008, -0/+7Biggest issue in most countries (I know here in New Zealand it is anyway) is the data caps the ISP forces. I mean, 20gb isn't exactly suitable for a household who wants to rent a few high definition movies every week (I say 20gb because that is the plan that most families I have encountered seem to have because that is all they can afford). I remember the government made a big deal out of finally 'freeing up' the internet here and making it reasonable prices and without stupid caps...Dunno what happened to that, because we are still getting totally screwed...***** monopolies.
- Captainchow, on 10/10/2008, -2/+8In this economy? Shiiiiiiiit
- SwankRock3000, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6Target in the states and HMV in Canada and the UK have the best version.
The case is in the shape of IronMan's head, and you flip open the mask to get to the DVDs inside. - mugupo, on 10/10/2008, -0/+5get the Blu-ray, is about same price in Amazon,
- nsapra, on 10/09/2008, -13/+18true diggers are NOT all thieves.
- badwithcomputer, on 10/09/2008, -5/+10i'd rather they just give me one disc twice
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -2/+7I can't digg an advertisement.
- snotrokit, on 10/10/2008, -0/+5This one is worth buying. I did, damn great movie! Watching it again. mmmm Pepper Potts
- soupdawg30, on 10/10/2008, -0/+5There is a sequel planned.
- hitkaiser, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4Wait another 8 months and the 2 disc will be the same price as the 1 disc
- hwweber8, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4Blu-Ray version only comes in in the 2 disc set :D
- gradivus, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4You know, even though I saw it 5 times in the theater and bought every DVD set that came out for along with BR I feel it was overrated because I have to hate everything regardless of how cool it is. Also Im a gigantic tool that wouldnt know one of the best comic adaptations of all time if it came up and busted a nut on my face.
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4Your face is overrated.
- hirschab, on 10/10/2008, -0/+4Its good. Buy it.
- gradivus, on 10/10/2008, -0/+320g a month? WTF?! I use at least that just on streaming music, total I use about 80-90g a month. Damn.
- Kallius, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3Isn't that the version with the deleted scene with Sam saying, "Get off me, Frodo, you're crushing my Longbottom Leaf!"
- JoeB4ever, on 10/10/2008, -1/+4Someone's mad Sex and the City isn't on DVD yet
- crossmr, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3peeps? fabu? geeked? "It is filled with lolz and win" what kind of hack wrote this.
- supertaliman, on 10/10/2008, -2/+5Sorry, I think that would be "The Dark Knight"
/s
Both movies were great but neither were overrated(Maybe Dark Knight) I need to watch it again to make further judgement, but do not call one of the best movies of 2008 overrated. - TonyCubed, on 10/10/2008, -0/+3Sorry to say this but here it goes..
While I think that a lot of movies aren't worth buying, there are some good movies which you just have to buy. Hollywood seems far between releasing good movies these days, so when they do, I think they deserve my money, and when they don't, well, I'll carry on using my Usenet account. - Volatile, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2I have DVDs of movies I've seen in theaters that I haven't even watched. I bought them solely for the extras. Some of that ***** is very, very interesting, and it's one of the reasons that digital downloads are, by and large, worthless to me.
- FcukAllYall, on 10/10/2008, -0/+21 disc please
- scarwars, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2right..
- HappyScrappy, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2The bad guy was flat, agreed. The character arc may be predictable, it's a superhero creation myth. I didn't see the overtone you talk about at all.
I liked it a lot, it is probably my favorite superhero movie of all time.
How does it warrant an Ultimate 2-Disc Edition? POS Pirates of the Caribbean 2 had one, didn't it? It's about the money. - mikelieman, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2More like you'll just tell TIVO to record it off of TNT when it's on.
- gutenpress, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2I think predictability is the wrong term, because I really don't have a problem with the comic book movies being predictable. The vast majority have been popular comic books for decades before the movies, after all.
A more accurate description of how I viewed most of the characters would be cliche. Personally I think Batman Begins did a far superior job.
Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy Iron Man, but I think they did a disservice to the complexity of the Tony Stark character and the universe he operates in.
As far as the 2-Disc part ... good call, and point taken. :) - SmokinOkie, on 10/10/2008, -1/+3Dugg because of submitters description. kool.
- CoconutKC, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2I've never rented a bonus disc on netflix before, this was my first and i enjoyed it
- JoeB4ever, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2you don't own a blu-ray player do you?
- antdude, on 10/10/2008, -0/+2Are any of these extra, deleted, and more scenes online to watch?
- dweeb73, on 10/09/2008, -4/+6I thought this disc was fantastically done! I loved this movie and the extras material seals the deal for me.
http://digg.com/movies/Review_Iron_Man_Ultimate_2_ ... - cquinnd, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1The whole idea of building a franchise is to leave you wanting more, at least until they wrap things up with a later film. Otherwise you end up with something like the Matrix Trilogy.
- Testiculese, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Nah, immune to common sense..
- jonshipman, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Bullets are *****. We had one, a regular $15 wal-mart blender does a better job.
- bjs3171, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Movies do take a bit more money and time to produce than a CD...
- JoeB4ever, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1So after Dark Knight, what was the second best movie of the summer/year?
- inactive, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Or that it is the most over-rated movie of the year...yaknow, that or you could be projecting.
- Testiculese, on 10/10/2008, -0/+1Burn that telco to the ground. The next one to build there may be more customer-friendly.
