- sprint84, on 01/07/2009, -2/+63I hope the villains don't go straight for Aunt May
- Wristo, on 01/07/2009, -3/+53IMHO:
Superman II > Superman: The Movie
Spider-Man 2 > Spider-Man
X2: X-Men United > X-Men
and 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer > Fantastic 4 (though both were dreadful)
Origin stories may be interesting, but they tend to have a fairly anticlimactic adventure tacked onto the end. - RoboHobo, on 01/07/2009, -0/+49This man knows what the people want.
- slyzxx, on 01/07/2009, -7/+53Loved downy in tropic thunder. "Everybody knows you never go full retard' "Check it out. Dustin Hoffman, 'Rain Man,' look retarded, act retarded, not retarded. Counted toothpicks, cheated cards. Autistic, sho'. Not retarded. You know Tom Hanks, 'Forrest Gump.' Slow, yes. Retarded, maybe. Braces on his legs. But he charmed the pants off Nixon and won a ping-pong competition. That ain't retarded. Peter Sellers, "Being There." Infantile, yes. Retarded, no. You went full retard, man. Never go full retard. You don't buy that? Ask Sean Penn, 2001, "I Am Sam." Remember? Went full retard, went home empty handed"

- bjs3171, on 01/07/2009, -2/+35X-Men 2 was significantly better than X-Men. Partly because of Alan Cumming.
- mythicflux, on 01/07/2009, -1/+34Man, this article is from last year!
- Phillycat81, on 01/07/2009, -2/+31I still can't see cheadle as war machine...
- maxer64, on 01/07/2009, -2/+27I don't enjoy these comments.
- Smokeydabear, on 01/07/2009, -2/+25Your dad should have pulled out.
- RyanBlueThunder, on 01/07/2009, -0/+22They'll do Ironman 2, Thor, and Captain America. All will have cameos from Nick Fury. Then they'll do an Avengers movie.
- Smokeydabear, on 01/07/2009, -5/+27Iron Man 2 should contain more Captain America.
- o0joshua0o, on 01/07/2009, -0/+21Yay! They're going to add musical elements like in Spider-Man 3!
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+21*****.

- m1kel, on 01/07/2009, -1/+21Of course he's having identity issues... He's a dude, playing a dude, disguised as another dude.
- Stomper622, on 01/07/2009, -8/+27276 "friends" = front page.
Old article.
Buried. - ancalagon73, on 01/07/2009, -0/+17As long as there are no nipples on the Iron Man suit.
- vinceislegend, on 01/07/2009, -2/+17From the article:
"The main themes will essentially be love and music. We decided to take the franchise in a fresh direction and pop in a few songs here and there. [Robert] surprised us all with his singing one day, and everything just started to fall into place." - RyanBlueThunder, on 01/07/2009, -0/+14Batman? Superman? You just divided by zero. Thanks for destroying my universe.
- Monarch818, on 01/07/2009, -0/+13Dark Knight for the villain, Joker (Heath Ledger).
Iron Man for the hero, Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.)
Without Heath doing a wonderful job as the Joker, the entire move TDK would have been over the top garbage!
Iron Man would have been better if "The Dude" would have been the villian! - gravityboard, on 01/07/2009, -5/+17...You had me at "Iron Man 2"

- vashth3stampede, on 01/07/2009, -3/+15...Identity
Really, it wasn't.... - MRintheKeys, on 01/07/2009, -0/+11That is probably the best line in the whole movie.
- PhoenixReborn, on 01/07/2009, -1/+12Iron Man 2: The Musical. I'd watch it. You know you would too.
- danwallace, on 01/07/2009, -0/+10Wait a second...
"“The obvious thing to improve upon — well, it’s not even an improvement it’s just something to embrace — which is that he’s now a hero that lives in the real world. That’s unique,” Theroux said of Stark’s earth-shattering revelation at the end of the first film that he was Iron Man, making him the first-ever cinematic super without a secret identity."
Last time I checked there was nothing unique about that. The Fantastic Four? The X-Men? How is he the first-ever cinematic super without a secret identity? - PhantomPhoenix, on 01/08/2009, -0/+9@noupsell
You could have reworded the title to make room, rather than leaving out the most important part. - xmike07, on 01/07/2009, -3/+12I wanted TDK to be over, not because it was bad just way to long. Iron Man, I wanted more of.
- MRintheKeys, on 01/07/2009, -0/+9I just thought the ending to Iron Man was a little underwhelming. The fight between Iron Man and the Iron Monger should have been a little longer and had a bit more pop.
- diggThis77, on 01/07/2009, -1/+9Ironman. Only because you got to see his character change and the story explained it well. With TDK and Batman Begins the story line to me was...hey I'm in a prison, I spend lots of time learning how to kick ass...ok we've spent the obligatory five minutes of how the super hero got started, let's move on.
Don't get me wrong Batman Begins was good and TDK kicked ass, but IMHO Ironman was better because you got to see the character develop and create his character. - nschiner, on 01/07/2009, -0/+8"That’s unique,” Theroux said of Stark’s earth-shattering revelation at the end of the first film that he was Iron Man, making him the first-ever cinematic super without a secret identity."
Ummmm, how about the Fantastic 4? - tattertech, on 01/07/2009, -0/+8X2 was significantly better than X-Men 1
- Cassanova, on 01/07/2009, -1/+8How bout they put iron man in the movie. He only showed up 3 times. 1) flying around 2) blew up a tank 3) running away from the bad guy. Iron Man was a decent movie and really funny, but I'm not too excited about a sequel unless they actually put some decent action scenes with iron man in it.
- jordanlgta, on 01/07/2009, -4/+10Ha. You said Cumming.
- wedges, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6galactus is a giant dude, not a blobular cloud. ***** that movie.
also, glitchbit i dugg you up because the sonar was pretty weak, i always hate that part of the movie. - Serphyas, on 01/07/2009, -1/+7You're getting buried by those friends. Sad, huh?
- starslinger72, on 01/07/2009, -2/+7not nearly as much as dark night.
- dyranios2, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5More actual Iron Man!
- machocheese34, on 01/07/2009, -1/+6but it felt so good
- solid12345, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5No X-Men 2 was better because of Brian Cox.
- godofallcows, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5..."making him the first-ever cinematic super without a secret identity."
That is ***** *****. Fantastic Four? Hancock (I know, but its still a cinematic "super")? I am sure there are more, but what I am suggesting here is that MTV needs to shut the ***** up. - zacharytelschow, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4...and Chuck Norris.
- CogitatorX, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4They should make The Tick starring The Rock & have either David Spade or the Mac guy play Arthur.
- RudeTurnip, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4I missed that scene...
- jackdaniels06, on 01/07/2009, -1/+5Ironman or The Dark Knight. Which one better?
- Jsmuli2, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4Well, considering there are only like 5 actual stories to be told, yes, that would be too much to ask for. But last time I checked, there are ***** loads of originals and indies that come out every year. Why haven't you been keeping up with those?
Most movies are based off of books, why aren't you complaining about that? What does it matter if the media format is different?
You mean to tell me, if you had the money and the right contacts you wouldn't want to re-create/re-imagine your favorite child hood heroes/shows/comicbooks/movies?
If I could, in 20 years, I would love to redo Star Wars episodes I - III and make them the way they ought to be. - misterparry, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4if stark isn't a alcoholic in the next one marvel will never get another cent from me
