mythbusters-wiki.discovery.com — Get this, my cousin works is a production assistant for the crew that shoots MythBusters for Discovery and he just told me that to commemorate and celebrate the release of this highly-anticipated movie, Myth Busters is planning something very special.

      Was an excellent learning experience for me. Have never shared a password since, and never will.

        • puter, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2I think not. I'm just lucky that the place I worked and boss I had was much more relaxed about it than other places. I had to write a letter of apology and the password was changed. If it had been anywhere else I would have been fired.

          Honestly, I think it was an excellent learning experience and I definitely would not do it again.

          But if this isn't an advertising ploy, then it sucks for this guy that leaked the info.

      "Celebrate the release of this highly anticipated movie?" Nobody writes like that except PR flacks, I don't care who their "cousin" is.

This PA could be in serious trouble. They will probably only lose the job which if our a PA is not that terrible but still sucks.

        (I could be liable for tens of millions of dollars if i posted dirt from the many shows I've worked on)

          The sad thing is that they felt they had to try and trick us. If they'd just announced it it probably would have been promoted just as quickly.

These days telling someone "YOU"LL NEVER WORK IN THIS TOWN AGAIN" is the nicest thing you can do. Get out of the TV business especially if you have a family or are ever planning on it.

They did a huge amount of tests and ***** on all these things and took all kinds of data to support it, measuring forces etc... try to find it somewhere.

    The MythBusters have done a little bit of that in the past. Many people don't realize that the "MythBusters" are actually visual effect/props makers for the movie industry. They are around special effects and stunts. They have the connections. Why don't they show "how it is really done" more often?

  • HouseofEl, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1This is awesome of course, but I sense that this is them doing a sort of viral marketing. I think they released this on purpose to get the word out. It just seems too convienant that this rumor pops up within weeks of the release. Plus if it really is a scoop, then this dude's cousin is at least in some serious trouble and possibly not working on the show anymore.


    Or, I'm thinking way too much about this. If that is indeed the case, sorry for being a jackass. :-)

Also glad to see these guys do their shows locally (they did a show up the street for a episode about cellphones and gas) it puts money back into the economy, so I will always support em.
