- graemee, on 05/12/2008, -0/+4They do have a cast of Grant's chest to make a ballistics gel model. Then they can try methods of removing the heart.

- SpectralSounds, on 05/12/2008, -2/+17I sure as hell am going to see it.
- burketo, on 05/12/2008, -1/+10myth busted!
- SilentRamble42, on 05/12/2008, -6/+1I think a lot of people will see it, but with really low expectations.
- oldlostcory, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1I'm going to see it, although this quote from the end of that article concerns me "Everything is bigger and better than before". Die hard tried to do everything bigger and better and sometimes bigger isn't always better. I pray its not to ridiculous and it still has the witty humor of the other ones.
Oh and i'll def watch this mythbusters special - Wonderama, on 05/12/2008, -6/+0Another run-of-the-mill, paint-by-numbers movie for insomniacs and those trapped on airplanes.
- SpectralSounds, on 05/12/2008, -2/+17I sure as hell am going to see it.
- bsolidgold, on 05/12/2008, -1/+65I'm sure your cousin appreciates you helping him lose his job.
- puter, on 05/12/2008, -1/+5EXACTLY what I was thinking
- puter, on 05/12/2008, -6/+3Although, it could be a good learning lesson for his cousin. I told a password to a coworker (also a friend of many years) and he promptly used it in front of my boss (on purpose).
Was an excellent learning experience for me. Have never shared a password since, and never will.- taffyhealscrowd, on 05/12/2008, -1/+3Hey man, just forgive. You gotta move on, you gotta resume sharing your password.
- puter, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2I think not. I'm just lucky that the place I worked and boss I had was much more relaxed about it than other places. I had to write a letter of apology and the password was changed. If it had been anywhere else I would have been fired.
Honestly, I think it was an excellent learning experience and I definitely would not do it again.
But if this isn't an advertising ploy, then it sucks for this guy that leaked the info.
- puter, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2I think not. I'm just lucky that the place I worked and boss I had was much more relaxed about it than other places. I had to write a letter of apology and the password was changed. If it had been anywhere else I would have been fired.

- Laminarcissus, on 05/12/2008, -1/+14I wouldn't worry. While the show sounds like fun, this post could not sound more like it was written by a PR agency dropping "guerrilla" promotions.
"Celebrate the release of this highly anticipated movie?" Nobody writes like that except PR flacks, I don't care who their "cousin" is.- joshblufs, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2If you have seen as many "we'll sue you for 10 million dollars!" non disclosure agreements as I have. You might not be so cavalier. This PA could be in serious trouble. They will probably only lose the job which if our a PA is not that terrible but still sucks.
(I could be liable for tens of millions of dollars if i posted dirt from the many shows I've worked on)- Laminarcissus, on 05/12/2008, -0/+3What I'm saying is that it wasn't written by a PA. It was written by a copywriter at a PR agency, who probably just got a promotion for getting it on the Digg home page.
The sad thing is that they felt they had to try and trick us. If they'd just announced it it probably would have been promoted just as quickly.
- Laminarcissus, on 05/12/2008, -0/+3What I'm saying is that it wasn't written by a PA. It was written by a copywriter at a PR agency, who probably just got a promotion for getting it on the Digg home page.
- NotACYBORG, on 05/12/2008, -0/+0Yes, that and the added fact it's on the "official fan website" on the actual Discover.com domain name.
- joshblufs, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2If you have seen as many "we'll sue you for 10 million dollars!" non disclosure agreements as I have. You might not be so cavalier. This PA could be in serious trouble. They will probably only lose the job which if our a PA is not that terrible but still sucks.
- joshblufs, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1I've seen PA's get canned for allot less. Granted getting fired from his PA job might be the best thing that could happen. These days telling someone "YOU"LL NEVER WORK IN THIS TOWN AGAIN" is the nicest thing you can do. Get out of the TV business especially if you have a family or are ever planning on it.
- joessandwich, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1I've always wanted to get a job on Mythbusters.... it looks like I'm in luck since a job will be opening soon.
I've also signed one of those "We'll sue for $10 million if you talk" contracts, I sure as hell am not talking.
- Sp0rAdiC, on 05/12/2008, -8/+2....
- PyroRaver, on 05/12/2008, -7/+2They should check if its possible to swing from a branch using a bullwhip
- PyroRaver, on 05/12/2008, -0/+6From the article:
"I'm a pretty skeptical person by nature, but considering the success the MacGyver series had, and the fact that the new Indiana Jones movie is coming out, it only makes sense. Plus they did the awning fall Temple of Doom Myth bust a couple years ago. I can't wait to see what Myths they bust. My predictions are:
* See if Buster can "out run" a boulder on a 30-degree incline.
* Adam trying to swing on a whip.
* An elaborate reenactment of one of the scenes."
- PyroRaver, on 05/12/2008, -0/+6From the article:
- Ozymandias42, on 05/12/2008, -0/+62Ahh, you meant to say: "My cousin used to work as a production assistant for Mythbusters before he made the mistake of telling me a secret."
- Rippleeffect, on 05/12/2008, -3/+1Can't wait. Well, i have to, but you understand
- chanop, on 05/12/2008, -0/+6Big fan of Mythbuster (for entertainment, not science) and Indiana Jones, can't wait to see this
- Overture1928, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Combining an awesome TV show with an awesome movie? I'm looking forward to this.
- TVarmy, on 05/12/2008, -0/+7I'm a fan of Indiana Jones for history, not entertainment. Who knew the Nazis were so good at magic?
- mrinsanity, on 05/12/2008, -9/+1THIS IS KIND OF A BIG DEAL!
- imnojezus, on 05/12/2008, -3/+25Your "cousin" sounds like a viral marketing scheme.
- Goblin, on 05/12/2008, -0/+14My cousin was a viral marketing scheme, but never really managed to improve the public perception of the clap.
- marnaq, on 05/12/2008, -2/+3Really - who leaks ***** on the official wiki? :-)
This is not a leak. It's a "leak". - TVarmy, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1I bet the poster is just a machine who can never love. Thus, he's incapable of having a cousin. The lies are just unraveling at our feet.
- sandersdamnit, on 05/12/2008, -1/+4why is the cell phone pic of Adam Savage a big ***** deal he wears that fedora alot
that guy makes that picture seem like it's a new pic of two-face or some *****- TVarmy, on 05/12/2008, -2/+4A pic of Adam is cooler than a pic of you. Plus, it has Kari Byron in it.
BOOM IN THE SHOT!- sandersdamnit, on 05/12/2008, -2/+2nevermind you are an idiot and yes she is hot
- TVarmy, on 05/12/2008, -2/+4A pic of Adam is cooler than a pic of you. Plus, it has Kari Byron in it.
- eagle200363, on 05/12/2008, -1/+13They should see if a they can melt a bunch of Nazi's faces off with light!
- mysedai, on 05/12/2008, -1/+3...it looked like it was filmed in the 1980's; something that's rare in this Digital Age!"
Yeah, because most things filmed in the 1980's look like crap by today's standards. I don't really see this as a bragging point. A valid directorial choice, perhaps, but a bragging point, no. - ericdano, on 05/12/2008, -2/+3"Get this, my cousin works is a production assistant for the crew that shoots MythBusters for Discovery and he just told me that to commemorate and celebrate the release of this highly-anticipated movie, Myth Busters is planning something very special."
Damn, grammar anyone?- Duositex, on 05/12/2008, -1/+7The grammar nazis were all killed with Indy opened the Arc of the Dictionary.
- TobiasParker, on 05/12/2008, -2/+1wow, that was amazing.
- Duositex, on 05/12/2008, -1/+7The grammar nazis were all killed with Indy opened the Arc of the Dictionary.
- RATM4EVER, on 05/12/2008, -1/+38Kari can bust my myth any day.
- Duositex, on 05/12/2008, -1/+23You mean the myth that you have a penis?
- 15thPD, on 05/12/2008, -2/+2No, the myth that he's attracted to women.
- greenlight2001, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1No, the myth that he can last longer than 5 second.
- floatsum, on 05/12/2008, -0/+0Thats what she said
- antdude, on 05/13/2008, -0/+1Maybe he has a detachable penis.
- 15thPD, on 05/12/2008, -2/+2No, the myth that he's attracted to women.
- MSstar, on 05/13/2008, -0/+1BUSTED
- Duositex, on 05/12/2008, -1/+23You mean the myth that you have a penis?
- Balloondoggies, on 05/12/2008, -4/+2Maybe they will have Grant and Tori try the poisoned dates the monkey ate in Raiders.... I love Mythbusters...but those 2 are usually just annoying.
- Pronoun, on 05/12/2008, -0/+3Mythbusters has built a replica of the Ark of the Covenant, they tried to deliver an electric shock with an ancient battery.
- Louis11, on 05/12/2008, -2/+1The above comment was meant for those of us who don't have a TV.
- jetblackz4, on 05/12/2008, -1/+8I really want them to do a karate myth episode.
Ie. breaking ice blocks/bricks, 1 inch punch, there are so many....- TVarmy, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2I think you can find vids of that on youtube. It's not that hard... Granted, some of the more extreme stuff, like multiple cinder blocks is probably myth. But I'm certain a skilled karate master could break at least one cinder block.
And Andy Bernard did do a 1 inch punch on the office, so myth confirmed™.- jetblackz4, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Andy Bernard is the ***** ! What episode was that. I thought I seen them all.
- bsolidgold, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Go to their website and submit it as a suggestion.
- saunders45, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1This video explains it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOM0J4dtcFI
- DeadBabyFloat, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2Discovery had a special about his, called "Fight Science", and actually its all being done without any smoke and mirrors. They did a huge amount of tests and ***** on all these things and took all kinds of data to support it, measuring forces etc... try to find it somewhere.
- EricAnderton, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Like DeadBabyFloat said, it's all real. The trick is that these pro martial artists train like crazy to learn how to use their bodies in the most efficient way, to deliver the most force possible, at the precise moment of impact.
- hollywoodphony, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1This is a good documentary about how they do that kind of stuff:
http://www.thefootfistway.com/
- TVarmy, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2I think you can find vids of that on youtube. It's not that hard... Granted, some of the more extreme stuff, like multiple cinder blocks is probably myth. But I'm certain a skilled karate master could break at least one cinder block.
- isaactwito, on 05/12/2008, -0/+7I'm skeptical of the picture, Adam looks like that all the time.
- sk8away212, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1I love the last line about how it looks like it was filmed in the 1980's...
- demne, on 05/12/2008, -0/+5whats the spoiler?
- joshf52, on 05/12/2008, -0/+7Snape kills Dumbledore
- o0joshua0o, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1AAAAAGH!!
- TheVirus, on 05/12/2008, -0/+3NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, YOU BITCH!
- unreg, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2Kari is a man
- joshf52, on 05/12/2008, -0/+7Snape kills Dumbledore
- speedygonzalez, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1i wonder why they wouldn't be running promos of this... you would think they would release this episode BEFORE the movie came out to create buzz and excitement, not after. i hope it's true, i'd love to see a recreation of the opening sequence in Raiders.
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2So what your basically advertising to the world is, your cousin shouldn't tell you stuff.
- centran, on 05/12/2008, -1/+3They should show how some of the stunts where done. Sure they can try to bust the myth of if it is even possible but then they should show how it was actually filmed.
The MythBusters have done a little bit of that in the past. Many people don't realize that the "MythBusters" are actually visual effect/props makers for the movie industry. They are around special effects and stunts. They have the connections. Why don't they show "how it is really done" more often? - jasonboyee, on 05/12/2008, -3/+2This page has great info on Indian Jones 4...

Warning: It's a spoiler page, so visit at your own risk. - DirtPile, on 05/12/2008, -2/+1Now we'll finally know if it's possible to win a knife fight with a revolver.
- suttercain, on 05/12/2008, -0/+4"commemorate and celebrate" should be changed to "jump on the bandwagon and capitalize"
- russTtraumbowen, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1precisely
- recordingautist, on 05/12/2008, -1/+0Harrison Ford is old.
- russTtraumbowen, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1u can assume this review wasn't attempting to "commemorate or celebrate" the new indy: http://eattheblinds.blogspot.com/ rofl
- Yage2006, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2Are they going to prove once and for all that the bible is full of ***** ?
That would be awesome :) - hollywoodphony, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1This looks awesome, but if you really think "my cousin" exists and this wasn't put their by a PR firm, you should volunteer to be the new Buster.
- HouseofEl, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1This is awesome of course, but I sense that this is them doing a sort of viral marketing. I think they released this on purpose to get the word out. It just seems too convienant that this rumor pops up within weeks of the release. Plus if it really is a scoop, then this dude's cousin is at least in some serious trouble and possibly not working on the show anymore.
Or, I'm thinking way too much about this. If that is indeed the case, sorry for being a jackass. :-) - anubis2night, on 05/12/2008, -0/+0I had a feeling they would do this, they have had a lot of success lately with these type of shows. Also glad to see these guys do their shows locally (they did a show up the street for a episode about cellphones and gas) it puts money back into the economy, so I will always support em.
- ChaosProfessor, on 05/13/2008, -0/+1your cousin is now unemployed
- whalt, on 05/13/2008, -0/+1I'd call it plausible.
- wsask8, on 05/13/2008, -0/+0you all need to realize that, not only does this sound bogus because the future shows list on the website say nothing about an INDY special, and two Adam almost always wears the Indy type hat. i have seen it in many episodes and trust me i am a true believer in the MYTHBUSTERS!!!!!!!!
