- Odweaver, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2What I'm wonder is why is Savini not playing Machete.
- Molly, on 10/12/2007, -12/+6i thought it was totally *****, Untill the mexican guy came out cloud style with the ***** gattling gun.

ZOmbies on a stripper? - SkeletaLlama, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4First time I've grinned watching a trailer in a long time.
- MichaelDaley, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I wonder if Tom Savini did the special effects? It looked like it from that clip.
- VaporBro, on 10/26/2007, -4/+5What the hell was up with prosthetic machine gun/leg lady? Was pretty cool up until that point. Then I laughed.
- texpundit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Holy *****! This is like Pulp Fiction, Desperado, Hostel and Night of the Living Dead all getting together for a mushrooms and meth party.
I can't wait! - harmlessinc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3For anyone digging down MichaelDaley
You need to look up who Tom Savini is, and while he might had "acted" in a few movies... that was never his bread and butter.

His company shows up and the Halloween Trade shows as well, great stuff. - veersite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1OMG!

Rodriguez's portion of the film looks sweet.
Oh and Rose Mcgawin has a ***** gun for a leg that's sick! - CheapBastid, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Sweet does not even begin to describe how frikkin sweet this is.
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -8/+8I'd say it looks horrible. But the good kind that you can have fun with in the theatre.
- sullyj, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2***** Yeah
- uncontested, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I can only dream now of the time when both 300 and Grindhouse hit the theaters.
Best time ever? - kindrobot, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Spy Kids it isn't. Tom Savini!!! This is gonna be good.
- robotplague, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2In a way I feel like a sucker...but I really, really want to *****' see this. I don't care if I'm the exact target demographic wiener that gets a boner over blood and violence, this looks entertaining as hell.
- b1m2x3, on 10/12/2007, -20/+5looks like another ***** ha-ha joke of a movie like snakes on a plane.
Plain out, this movie looks corny as *****.- diggn_it, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4Yeah, I know im gonna big buried by fanboys and maybe thats just because I don't get it, but this movie looks awful. News flash. SNAKES on a PLANE sucked. It had no plot, and while it was fun to laugh at, it was not worth the price of admission. This looks to be the same way. Just a bunch of blood and women mixed in with no plot. There is no way in hell im seeing this movie.
- pixelwerx, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10WHAT THE ***** WAS THAT???
More importantly, when is it coming out?- UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13From the looks of it, 1975. I can't wait!
- econoar, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Sayid!
- merdiesel, on 10/12/2007, -12/+4Rose McGowan + Machine Gun Leg = ***** SEXY!!!

- tomanthony, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Here is an article on rottentomates.com, it includes the movie poster and more movies / trailers. Check out the cool interview clips.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/grindhouse/ - itsmattadams, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3This movie looks intense, and I can't wait to see it.
- charmedguy18, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3I love Rose McGowan. I just wish Charmed wasn't the only thing that she's in that's good... Because this looks ridiculously stupid.
- tomanthony, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1What about Jawbreaker. (sarcasm)
- tdogg241, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Did you seriously just say Charmed is good???
- Psyanide, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Tarantino is slipping :/ Judging from the trailer and the other media I've come across, this project looks 'meh' at best. Although, Quentin's part does look about 5x better that RR's. I dont know if that is good or bad. I liked the Inglorious Bastards concept much more, which QT would start working on that.
VERY nice poster art, though. - coheedcollapse, on 10/12/2007, -7/+13I'm going to get modded down to hell for saying this, but as much as I've liked Tarantino's stuff, this looks lame as hell. It's like a "hey guys, let's make crappy B-flicks with high budgets" trend is overshadowing last year's "Let's churn out crappy horror movies" kick.
- fricken4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So long as a Movie is Going to be derivitave, it may as well be Tarantino directing it.
Rodrigez, though- he's gotta project the whole Mexican Agenda onto the early eighties Grindhouse aesthetic- it's revisionist, and sullies the purity of the Film. - xcrypt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grindhouse
from the article ..."The word "exploitation" itself is a show business term for publicizing shows and motion pictures. "Exploitation films" are those whose success relied not on the quality of their content, but on the ability of audiences to be drawn in by the advertising of the film"

If you don't think this looks amazing, the terrorists have won. This movie will kill your mom.
mikkael, you're my hero. and my mom is so dead. - RadiantBeing, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3That trailer was so satisfying, I don't need to watch the movie anymore. I'm sure the movie's great in its own way but for my taste, I can only take a style like this in small doses.
- Higgins, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3WOW! Tarantino has been bulking up on his Sam Rami. That movie calls for a fifth of bourbon while viewing.
- _CerealKilla_, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That was a trailer for "planet terror" Robert Rdz part. Tarantino's part "death proof" is still filming.
- kibbled, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2When Machete picks up the Gatling Gun (1:15) I hear a sound effect that is from a video game. I think it is from Unreal Tournament 2004.
- jesusbeard, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4the first 30 seconds of the movie looked good then he has to go insane with zombies and what not, probably going to end up being garbage like hostel
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Tongue-in-cheek: Tongue-in-cheek humour in fiction often takes the form of gentle parodies. Such stories seem to abide by the conventions of an established serious genre, while in reality, they gently poke fun at some aspects of that genre. A tongue-in-cheek work still relies on these conventions and is not the same as a farce
Parody: Imitates the techniques and style of some person, place, or thing. Parody is used for mocking or mocking its idea of the person, place, or thing. Monty Python is an example of parody.
Learn the definitions of these terms before you think that this movie is made in seriousness - diggn_it, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Just because somethng is a parody does not make it instantly genius. The danger of making a full leagth parody is that it will become what it is making fun of, which is B movie trash, and from the looks of this that is exactly what is going to happen. Snakes on a plane pretty much taught us that just because a movie is just PRETENDING to be a bad movie, does not make it any less of a bad movie.

- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Wow........this relaly looks amazing. I can't wait untill I see what Tarantino has to bring to the film.
This will be better than snakes on a plane. This movie is being directed by two very experienced and great directors. Snakes on a Plane was a movie that was so *****, they had to pass it off as parody. This is obviously made to be an exploitative parody - ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2*appaluds* *****' A.
- Mongoose, on 10/12/2007, -14/+7What an absolutely disgusting piece of crap. There is something seriously wrong with Quentin Tarantino.

"There is something seriously wrong with Quentin Tarantino."
Well duhhhhhhh. But you say that like it was a bad thing. - FBMGriever, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Indeed. I honestly can't figure out why everyone else in here is like, "OOO! THIS LOOKS LIKE A BLAST!!"
I'd rather get a firm kick to the groin then see this B-Movie garbage. - Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1well, I think you didn't catch the fact that this part of the movie is being directed by Robert Rodriguez

- xlocust, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Damn..I havent been excited to see a movie in a long time....but I have to say this movie looks ***** awesome!
- Skettalee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1What more can I say that hasn't already been said? That movie looks great... the only downside is their movies are seeming to go to the more slutty side and (when) I have kids, I want to show them the creativity but you know? tisk tisk. But yeah, do your things man!
- Oobitsa, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3The amputee with the machine gun for a leg makes me feel funny in my privates.
- wrldpc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Rose Mcgowan is my ***** bitch slave.
- ruiner5000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1They have still been shooting just down the road from my place. I don't think you can judge a movie that isn't done shooting yet, can you?
- Crusty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Do you live in Austin? The other day I saw a film crew setup by the convenience store just down the road from my house. I couldn't tell what it was for, but heard later that it was Quentin filming a new movie. I'm assuming it was this movie, or is he already filming another one?
- ghostcat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The Rodriguez part of the film wrapped months ago. A relative of mine (he does live in Austin) worked on it. Bruce Willis is in it too. It starts with him killing Osama Bin Laden. I know it isn't credited, but it's true.
- dd240sx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this movie looks ***** awsome cant wait to see it
- bushy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2You think it looks rad, I think it looks stupid, so you're going to neg me?

- bouche, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Rose McGowan has a hot gun leg.
- adamsucks, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Tarantino is so over-rated.
(Let the downdiggs begin.) - 022A, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Honestly...
This just looks stupid and far too forced. It's trying way too hard. Overblown, improbable characters, setting and action are best left a bit more subtle. Where's the joy in having everything painted day-glo orange and shoved in your face from a mile away?
However, QT is attached to it and he has a remarkable skill for making mass-market tripe feel hip and unique.
Props to Danny Trejo aka "That hard-ass spanish dude!" for getting cast in a big flick after such a long career. He deserves it. - ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0DT's been in every Robert Rodriguez movie since From Dusk 'Till Dawn as a main character. He just finally starred.
- ericeman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree Tarantino is often praised just because it's the cool thing to do but I also love his movies. Kill Bill was just really fun and unique. At least he's doing something original with the camera instead of pouring out the usual hollywood blockbuster.
Kill Bill goes to show that this won't be parody. Kill Bill didn't play out like a Scary Movie type deal because it had substance, characters, and writing to go along with the pages it took from older movies. I highly doubt this will be any different.
"This just looks stupid and far too forced. It's trying way too hard. Overblown, improbable characters, setting and action are best left a bit more subtle. Where's the joy in having everything painted day-glo orange and shoved in your face from a mile away?"
That seems to be what they going for. I laughed because a girl with a gun blew up a car and than dodged it immediately after- and I think that's the reaction they expect.- 022A, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"That seems to be what they going for. I understand that, I just feel like they are being way too direct with it.
It's one thing when some ridiculous slips into a movie or is subtle enough that one of the 4 people you are watching with points it out just into for everyone to catch it and laugh.
It's another when everyone notices everything because while writing and directing the movie they consciously decided to add ridiculous things and made them obvious so as not to risk "wasting" the gag.
Comedy is art, not science and I feel like I'm being force-fed synthetic absurdity here. The real thing tastes so much better.

- mwilke, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1WTF was that? Did I just have an acid flashback? I mean seriously this is a movie? To each his own I guess.
- marcomc2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1*****. I have been waiting for this goddamn trailer for more than a year, that and of course Quentin's part, but this is good enough for now. Cant watch it here, in school, cause of life, but will ravage this pixelated media file over and over again once im home. Thank god for Quentin and Robert. Together. my god.
